You are bidding on a nice clean low mile (ODO indicates 45,764) driver quality 928.
It runs strong with no smoke or unusual oil consumption. The tires are 90% (Riken Raptors) and the wheels are factory original. The interior is in very good condition with wear commensurate with it's age and low miles; no rips tares or excess wear and shows very well (dash shows some warping of the leather around the defrost vents but is otherwise clean). All glass is in excellent condition. All heat, vent, interior/exterior lighting, power windows, and vacuum power lock systems work well.
The headlight washers work fine, but the windshield washer pump needs to be replaced. A/C needs service. The cruise control engages, but is intermittent. Shifts from 1st to 2nd crunch a bit, but only when the trans axle is cold (if you have done your homework you know that this is a common problem with the early models), but shifts fine after warm up. Handling is fantastic and in my opinion this is one of the best handling models that Porsche ever built (I recently replaced the tie rods, front wheel bearings and engine shocks). It is the base model with the posi option so it does well in the snow. I has had a recent re-spray and looks very presentable. Comes with a late model Alpine Stereo/CD.
This car is one of my very frequent drivers and has never let me down. Again, do some research and you will find that these cars are solid with some great testimonials about there longevity and dependability. This is the true average guys super car! Feel free to call me and check my feedback! Mike 719-491-1295

Porsche celebrates Le Mans return with Martini edition 911
Tue, 10 Jun 2014If we've said it once, we've said it a hundred times - but we'll gladly say it again: there are few racing liveries as iconic as Martini. And while those stripes have adorned countless Lancia and Ford rally cars, grand prix racers (like the latest Williams) and even speedboats, they remain inexorably tied to Porsche. Fortunately that point is not lost on Porsche itself, which has lately put them on its own 918 Spyder, race-spec 911 and all manner of merchandise. And this is the latest.
To celebrate its return to Le Mans this year, Porsche Exclusive is offering this special Martini Racing Edition. It's based on the 911 Carrera S, which means the more potent 3.8-liter flat six with 400 horsepower, but upgrades, as you might have guessed, with a whole mess of Martini Racing stripes and logos, along with the Aerokit Cup front and rear spoilers. The badges and stripes abound inside as well, where you'll also find such optional extras as the Porsche Communication Management system, Bose audio and black leather electric sport seats.
Porsche is offering the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition in either white or black, but unfortunately not in our market - just in Europe, China and Latin America. Those who miss out will (in certain markets anyway) be able to order the decal set separately though. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
Studiotorino shows new Cayman-based Moncenisio sports car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014While the recent bankruptcy of Bertone shows that it has become very difficult to be a coachbuilder today, it seems there is still a business case in creating unique bodies for premium vehicles. Case in point, Studiotorino a small, Italian coachbuilder that has been creating limited-edition cars since 2005. Its latest creation is the Moncenisio, which debuted as a prototype at the National Automobile Museum of Turin on March 21. It's named after the 1902 Susa-Moncenisio race in Italy, the first automotive hillclimb in the world.
The Moncenisio begins life as Porsche Cayman S, and each car will be built to order with a planned production run of 19 examples. The chassis, mechanicals and engine are all left untouched. The only thing that Studiotorino alters are the body panels and interior appointments. Prices start at at a heady 145,000 euros ($200,420 US), plus the cost of the donor vehicle.
Architect Daniele Gaglione penned the shape of the Moncenisio, taking inspiration from the 1963 Porsche 904. The sports coupes receive carbon fiber pieces that replace the front bumper, side panels and rear bumper. Studiotorino also covers the rear side windows with welded metal panels. The design is still clearly a Cayman, especially from the front, but the extended roof and support pillars create a new look from behind, which features a new exhaust treatment and rear spoiler. The interior receives leather upholstery on the engine compartment cover, the partition between the engine and seats, ceiling and A-pillars. Scroll down to view a walkaround of the Moncenisio and read the full press release about it.
