1983 Porsche 928S 4.7 L V8. Starts right up. The paint and body are in excellent shape, no rust anywhere. Garaged kept it's whole life. Interior is in really good condition, other than the dash shrunk from the heat of the sun, very common on these cars. Power seats have no rips or tears in the leather. Non-smoker car. Power moonroof works perfect. Exterior flip out lights work perfect. Has window tints all around. Tints are perfect with no bubbles. This is NOT the blue or purple tints. I have two sets of keys. Very clean car, I used the car just for cruising on the highway and to see friends, a nice "toy" for anyone looking to just do nothing and enjoy the car. Rims are not original, they are BBS aftermarket, are in good shape. Tires have about 60% tread left. Front driver side tire, has a slow leak, needs to be pumped up once a month a few pounds (nothing major).
The bad: Passenger power window switch works on or off (button), but the window does go up and down no problem (motor works great). Old stereo system has amplifier switches on the dash where the clock would be, but I never knew how to use them (original owner had it installed). The original clock is missing. A/C works great but lever that controls the temperature broke off, it still hangs on (doesn't look broken). You have to move the lever with the cap off with your finger to control the temperature. |

Remembering Porsche's illustrious Le Mans history
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Not only does this weekend mark the running of the 82nd 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will also see the return of one of the race's most venerable brands to the top tiers of endurance racing. Porsche will campaign its first top-flight car since the 1998 911 GT1-98, the 919 Hybrid, at this weekend's race, in the hopes of knocking off its corporate rival, the dominant Audi team.
To understand just what a win for the 919 would mean, though, you need to look back on the intrinsic connection between the Circuit de la Sarthe and Porsche. It's a history that spans decades, dating back to the team's first win in 1970.

2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
Thu, 29 May 2014The Porsche Boxster and Cayman will forever nip at the heels of their big brother, the 911 Carrera, and perpetuating this tradition are the latest GTS variants, which add yet another arrow to the quiver of the plucky mid-engined platform.
The GTS' performance enhancements boost horsepower by a mere 15 and shave a tenth from 0 to 60, but Porsche's clever product planners and engineers have stuck to their familiar formula in making the Cayman GTS more desirable than the Boxster for dyed-in-the-wool performance enthusiasts. More on that shortly.
Laps around Spain's Circuito Mallorca RennArena and the nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountain range would shed further light on how the GTS differentiates itself from lesser Caymans.
Autoblog Unplugged: 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4S
Tue, Feb 10 2015The day began cold and clear. It felt like a perfect late autumn afternoon to flog the 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4S on the backroads west of Detroit. So it seemed, anyway. An impromptu snow squall came out of nowhere, dampening the roads and our spirits, though the latter quickly were lifted as we began putting our German sports car through its paces. Quite simply, the 911 Targa 4S is up for almost everything. The all-wheel-drive system kept us poised and secure – it takes a bit to unsettle this 911 when all four wheels are clawing at the pavement. We still had 400 horsepower on tap, which is a riot to channel via the seamless PDK gearbox in any condition. Yes, this is a Targa, so even in the snow we dropped the top, cranked the seat heaters and had a heck of a good time. It's hard not to when you're motoring in something that starts at more than $120,000. Still, weather in Michigan can throw anyone a curve. We dealt with it, and luckily, you don't have to.
