It's not often that you can own a true supercar. In 1983, the Porsche 928 was the fastest production car in America (top speed of 146mph in case you're wondering).  I have certification papers from Porsche on the originality of the car. I also have the original rims with tires mounted and two boxes spare parts for the car (lights, timing belt, fuses, manuals etc.) that will go with it. This car spent most of its life in Florida and South Carolina. No rust problems at all. I have more pictures available of the car, and you're welcome to come see it in person.  Third party inspections are also welcome.

Standard features on the 928 are plentiful, and they are as follows:

4.7 liter V8 with factory fuel injection
Cruise control
4-speed automatic trasnsmission
4 wheel independent suspension with Weissach rear axle (multi link system)

Tilt wheel and dash
Power windows
Power locks

Over the years, the only major aesthitic change this 928S has seen is the addition of 911 Turbo staggered rims and tires (225/40R18 front and 265/35R18 rear Khumo ultra-high performance summer tires), and upgraded slotted front brake rotors and drilled rear brake rotors. Inside the car, the ears have been treated to a thumping stereo system for those times when the rumble of the V8 is not what you're looking for.  Original options on the car are US Standard Emissions, Electric Sliding Sunroof (not currently working), Full Power Seat - Right, Protective Side Moldings, Standard Radio (upgraded), and Amplifier System (upgraded).

The only blemishes on the car are a rip on the rear center console and the loss of some leather on the rear seats.  Both are visible in the pictures.

If you're looking for a 928, this is a nice one. If you're looking for a ridiculous amount of car for a reasonable price, bid with confidence.

Magnus Walker and Alex Ross stop by Leno's garage with their 997 GT2

Mon, Feb 9 2015

The market is littered with Porsche 911 tuners, with names like 9ff, Gemballa and TechArt leading the field. Seldom do any two ever collaborate on a joint project, but that's just the kind of match that was made at Jay Leno's Garage. That's where Alex Ross of SharkWerks and restomodder Magnus Walker first met, sparking a collaboration that yielded the car you see here. And fittingly, they've brought it back to the garage to show off what resulted. Though Walker usually deals with older Elfens, this time he applied his eye for style on a more contemporary 2008 997 GT2, decking it out with grey stripes, orange bumpers, gold wheels and decals and a tartan-upholstered interior. He left the mechanical bits to Ross and company, who dropped the suspension and increased output to 650 horsepower at the wheels (775 at the crank), surpassing the stock GT2 and even the later GT2 RS. The result is pretty hard-core and old-school, but you'll want to watch the video above to see for yourself.

Porsche 911 GT3 wows the crowds in Geneva

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Porsche has a long and storied history of taking its range-topping 911 sportscar racing, with an enviable record of achievements in tow. The latest machine with which the automaker will take to the track can be seen above: the fifth-generation 2014 911 GT3.
With 475 horsepower strumming through the 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, this is the pinnacle of naturally aspirated performance from Porsche. It can go from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, hit a top speed of 195 miles per hour and has lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in less than seven and a half minutes.
A dual-clutch PDK transmission (no standard manual gearbox will be offered) with shorter gearing than lesser 911 models sends power to the rear wheels. Providing forward motion isn't the only thing those rear wheels will be doing - Porsche says the 2014 911 GT3 is fitted with the manufacturer's first active rear-wheel steering.

Porsche Cayenne shows a bit more face, plug-in spotted

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Porsche was first rumored to be working on a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Cayenne over a year ago. However, we had never seen it, until now. The new model was caught almost completely undisguised while testing. In another stroke of luck, we got a glimpse of the upcoming facelift for Porsche's SUV (pictured above) as well.
According to the spy shooter, it was windy during the cars' cold weather testing. The cover blew off of the facelifted Cayenne, and there was enough time to snap these pictures before it could be hidden again. The changes are all quite minor but jive with what we saw the last time it was spied. The rear still wears some cladding but is expected to be hiding lights similar to the Macan.
The second gallery shows off the upcoming Cayenne PHEV. It looks nearly identical to the standard model, except for the extra panel on the driver's side of the car that hides the electric port. One image even shows the car plugged in. The new version is expected to use the same supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and 9.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack with a combined 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque from the Panamera S E-Hybrid. We enjoyed the system when we tested it last year. It's rumored to debut on the SUV sometime this year.
