Bosh 009 ignition was also installed. Stainless steel heat exchangers. The motor runs strong smooth and clean very responsive all through acceleration. Side shift transmission, The floor pan is original in very good solid condition, longitudes both left and right are in great solid condition, The battery box is original and solid. The paint is base coat clear coat olympic blue. 2 years and only 1500 mile on the paint as well. This car was in my attached garage and was never stored outside. The interior is in very nice condition. 2 hairline cracks in dash barely visible. New tires, wheels are in very nice condition. The cars lights are all in operational and lenses are not broken, The charging system is also in operating condition. The warning light indicators in the speedometer for oil, temp, battery are all in operating condition, In case nobody knows this little secret, Check to see if all the light indicators work with just the key on without engine running. as these all do, Thus meaning the bulbs are not blown or removed from the car for guys trying to get over on people. Front and rear sway bar Kyb struts and coils. If your looking for a show car go to Barret Jackson, If your looking for a new car go buy a chevy, If you are looking for a good 914 thats solid and runs great this is the car. Example of what i dont want. I had a supposed 914 expert come with two guys and look at this car, For over an hour they looked it over, tried to bust my butt saying, I think the headlights are a little dim , And the seat seemed little loose . It was raining outside and they actually expected me to let them take the car out and hammer on it. I told them look at the floor pan see how clean it is, They said yes it is. Why do you think that is " I dont take this car out in bad weather ". During this time the engine was just idling away crisp and clean no indicator lights. If you want brighter light bulbs go buy some These are 40 years old and original.. I said make an offer and then possibly you can. The conversation ended. If a real 914 expert wants to come he is more than welcome this car is exactly as described. I would not mind talking to anybody just dont be another expert like the last one. Or go buy a chevy Email me at Doctooth911@gmail.com

Porsche turns up boost on 911 range with new Turbo and Turbo S
Tue, Dec 1 2015You didn't honestly think Porsche would stop with just a turbocharged Carrera and Carrera S, did you? No, that'd be silly. Of course Stuttgart had to follow up those two smash hits with a new Turbo and Turbo S. Naturally, both cars build on the 370-horsepower Carrera and 420-horsepower C2S. The base Turbo offers 540 horsepower and starts at $160,195, while the Turbo S packs 580 horsepower and demands an extra $28,900. Adding a folding fabric top to either model will drive the cost of entry up by $12,300, regardless of output. For those keeping track at home, that's a 20-horsepower bump for both vehicles over the previous models, while the Turbo's price jumps by $8,100 and the Turbo S will cost an extra $5,400. In terms of actual performance, the Turbo hits 60 in just 2.9 seconds and will carry on to 198 miles per hour, a one-tenth and three-mph improvement over the current car. Going for the Turbo S will only shave a tenth of second off the 60-mph sprint, although you'll pick up an extra seven mph on the top end. That compares favorably to the current car, which takes 2.9 seconds to get to the magic six-oh and stops accelerating at just 197. The stopwatch improvements are only part of the story. Porsche claims the new dynamic boost function will maintain turbo pressure during sudden throttle load changes, like you might experience when pushing the 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-six hard. That means snappier throttle response. As with the current 911 Turbo and Turbo S, Porsche's excellent dual-clutch transmission is the only way to fly. This content is hosted by a third party. Both cars also get Porsche's Sport Chrono Package and Porsche Active Suspension Management as standard, while upgrading to the Turbo S will add Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and carbon-ceramic brakes. While there's lots of free hardware, we're betting Porsche's options catalog will remain just as robust. As for the design, you can expect the same look shown on the new, turbocharged 911 Carrera, albeit with some Turbo and Turbo S exclusives. 20-inch wheels are standard, with super-wide rubber in the back – Porsche doesn't list tire specs, but the rear hoops are 11.5-inches wide. Both the 911 Turbo and Turbo S will get their big debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Naturally, we'll have much more then, including live photos from the show. In the meantime, read on for the official press release from Porsche.
Meet the man that discovered and restored the oldest existing Porsche
Tue, 11 Mar 2014Luciano Rupolo is an absolutely fascinating gentleman. He was born in France but spent nearly his entire life in Italy as an auto mechanic running his own shop. His grandfather and father instilled a love of sports cars in him that he carried on by historic racing in Italy for decades. He saw his life-long automotive passion repaid when he found and restored the car that might have been the first Porsche registered for the road.
You can spot in his garage a split-window Corvette, Ferrari 250 GTE and other exotics, but Rupolo's most interesting automotive story concerns his Iso Grifo Competizione (pictured above). The sports coupe was found in the Canary Islands as little more than a shell, but Rupolo got help from a prestigious source for its restoration. The result is a motoring masterpiece.
Rupolo is a fantastic storyteller with a captivating, tale to tell. Settle in, scroll down and watch the bittersweet documentary about his life with one of the first Porsches.
Gemballa reveals new Porsche 991-based GT convertible
Sun, 16 Sep 2012Gemballa went through the ringer last year, but rebounded with products that signal a complete turnaround. The latest is the recently-released Porsche 911 Carrera S with a Gemballa GT aerodynamics and technology package. Aero-wise, it includes carbon fiber additions beginning with a front bumper wearing the classic Gemballa air intake design and a lower, angrier splitter. New side skirts run from wheel to wheel, the final piece being a rear bumper in three sculpted horizontal sections featuring a rear diffuser tucked between six rectangular exhaust tips.
No engine mods have been made, but the technology part of the tune - springs that are 30 millimeters shorter yet still able to work with the PASM system - is claimed to make the car faster. Bringing things to a halt is a new Brembo brake system hiding behind 21-inch GForged wheels that are lighter than Porsche's standard 20-inchers.
The Gemballa GT aero kit runs €19,860 ($26,070 U.S.), which includes paint and installation if you happen to be in Germany, and we're assuming that includes the suspension modification, brakes and sport exhaust. The GForged wheels are another €9,895 ($12,989 U.S.) depending on your choice of tire. Check out the press release below for more info, and the photo gallery above for all the angles.
