Light Yellow 1973 Porsche St, Rs, Rsr, Coupe With Sunroof, One Owner For 41 Yrs on 2040-cars

This is an incredible example of the sought after 1973 Porsche 911. This car is rust free! It has been owned by the original owner for 41 years. I bought it from the original owner, and he was reluctant to sell but has some health issues. His son helped prepare the vehicle for sale. This car has been upgraded with steel ST fenders front and rear. This conversion occurred about twenty years ago. It was a great job and has held up well. The car has the tilting sport seats, which are hugely valuable by themselves. In addition the vehicle has a 2.7S motor which has the upgraded chain tensioners, as well as Weber carburetors. It is a fast nimble and exhilarating car. The wheels are Compmotive and fifteen inches in diameter, and the tires are old, and should be replaced. Both front and rear bumpers are steel, although I don't know their origin.
The great! Gaps are great all around! You can enjoy and drive as is. These vehicles are on the rise in price. Drive a classic long hood Porsche. I can visualize this vehicle with the correct Fuch wheels, Viper green Carrera stripe kit for an RSR and a killer duck tail. It could be phenomenal! Transmission has the short shift kit on the linkage. Drives and runs fantastic. Brake discs are new all around and are ventilated like the "S" model. The clutch and transmission work great, no synchronizer issues. The engine is strong and runs great! The paint is beautiful and is the original color. The car has been repainted and is very nice and shiny. The sport seats are extremely comfortable and supportive. The interior is in very nice condition. The carpets look original to me, and appear to be in great condition. Rust free 1973! These are hard to find. Start with a great foundation and build it into what you want. The not so good. No spare tire, no tool kit, no jack, no owners manual, no receipts. The original owner closed and moved his business, so is looking for receipts, but also in poor health, so plan on as is! The generator light is on while running, even though it appears to be charging. The tachometer also doesn't work, the passenger side door needs the door stop repair kit, the rear brake lights work, but not the taillights. Headlights and wipers work. The horn and turn signals also don't work. The car hasn't been driving regular in about twenty years so expect some sorting. The owner's son did replace the fuel lines, new fuel pump, and did new brakes all around. He is a motorcycle mechanic, but not a Porsche mechanic, so please review his work for correctness. The mirrors are not original, and the adjustors are in the original door panels. I do not have the original wheels, deck lid, original seats, or steering wheel. |

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
Best electric sedans of 2024
Wed, Jan 31 2024While the American automotive trends tend to lean toward SUVs and trucks, and sedans seem to be dying out, there are some great four-doors out there in the EV market. They may not have the bulk, the high vantage point, or the storage capacity of the utes, but some folks still want a car that’s, well, a car. A sedan might not always have as much room to cram in a big battery pack, either, but they also donÂ’t weigh as much. They tend to be more lithe, sexy and agile. And theyÂ’re generally cheaper than their bigger brethren, too, though some of the full-size luxury sedans can still get well into six-figure pricing. If thatÂ’s not your thing, you can check out the best electric SUVs, but if youÂ’ve read this far, you probably enjoy sedans as much as us. WeÂ’ve tested quite a few, and these are the best electric sedans of 2024.  Best electric sedans below $60,000 Tesla Model 3 — $40,380 The Tesla Model 3 is one of just two sedans (along with the Hyundai Ioniq 6) to make it onto our list of best EVs under $50,000. ItÂ’s quite the value, too, with a starting price of just $40,380. ItÂ’s also fun to drive. Yes, it has some quirks, including too many vehicle functions residing exclusively in infotainment menus, but the Model 3's idiosyncrasies are easy to forgive based on its price and range, and they're things you can quickly get used to or possibly even appreciate. No wonder this EV is so popular.  Hyundai Ioniq 6 — $43,565 Of the sedans on this list, the Ioniq 6 is one of the most affordable (starting at $43,565), and one of the best. ItÂ’s quite efficient, with long driving range — up to 361 miles. Its cabin is creative in its design while being practical and comfortable. Interestingly, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the sportiest version of Hyundai and KiaÂ’s E-GMP cars, apart from the high-performance Kia EV6 GT. Its design, value, range, fast charging and other useful tech easily make it one of best electric sedans you can buy.  BMW i4 — $53,195 Though the BMW i4 is essentially an electric version of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, this EV sedan is something special. ItÂ’s packed with power and great driving dynamics in true BMW style. The rear-drive i4 eDrive40 is one quick car, but the i4 M50 is ridiculously fast. If you can get past the questionable nose and the iDrive 8 infotainment system, the i4 is an electric sleeper, and a performance bargain.
Trump reportedly says he wants to wipe German cars off the U.S. map
Thu, May 31 2018BERLIN/FRANKFURT — A report that U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to pursue German carmakers until there are no Mercedes-Benz rolling down New York's Fifth Avenue dented shares in the luxury car manufacturers on Thursday. An excerpt from German magazine Wirtschaftswoche's article, which cited several unnamed European and U.S. diplomats but did not include any direct quotes, could not be independently verified, while a U.S. Embassy spokesman in Berlin referred questions to Washington. The news and current affairs magazine said Trump had told French President Emmanuel Macron in April that he aimed to push German carmakers out of the United States altogether. Macron's administration in Paris declined to comment on the report. The Trump administration last week opened a so-called Section 232 trade investigation into vehicle imports, which could result in a 25 percent tariff on cars on the same "national security" grounds Washington used to impose metals duties in March. This could destroy exports by German carmakers, which control 90 percent of the U.S. premium market and are the biggest European Union exporters of cars to the United States. BMW owns Rolls-Royce, while Daimler has Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen controls Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche and Audi. Daimler, BMW and Audi declined comment. Porsche was not immediately available for comment. BMW shares were trading 0.5 percent lower at 0939 GMT, while Daimler and VW's shares were down 1 percent and 1.6 percent respectively, underperforming Germany's blue-chip DAX. Trump has railed against German carmakers before. And in early 2017, in an interview with German newspaper Bild, he said he would impose 35 percent tariffs on imported cars. At the time, the president called Germany a great car producer but said that the business relationship with the United States was an unfair one-way street. Germany's auto industry association VDA says its members exported 657,000 vehicles to North America last year, with total exports of vehicle components, cars, engines, as well as second-hand vehicles totaling 31.2 billion euros in 2016. Imports from the United States to Germany amounted to 7.4 billion euros, meaning a trade deficit of 23.8 billion euros the VDA's latest available figures show. However, German brands also have huge factories in the United States, where they built 804,000 cars last year, VDA said, providing jobs for U.S. workers. Berlin has reacted angrily to the U.S.
