1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Thank you for viewing my auction. I have a nice 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet here. This 911 is originally from Walnut Creek, California. If you look at the Auto Check, the first 95K miles of the car's life were driven in CA! r The mileage reads 118,220. The color is Guards Red over Black leather interior, and the convertible top is Black. The convertible top is manually operated. The seats are the factory sport models. The car does not have the original wheels, the current wheels on the car are 17" staggered. Condition: This 911 shows well. The car has been repainted, and the job looks good. There are fish eyes present under the clear coat. The body is clean with no scratches or dents. There is no rot anywhere on the body or underneath. The interior shows very well, and the seats are like new. The carpets are nice and clean. The dash has no cracking. The convertible top is in excellent condition, no tares or cracks at all. The rear window in the top is clear and in good shape. The convertible top movement works as it should. All electronics operate fine with no issue. The A/C works great and blows cold. Mechanically: The engine is strong and starts right up with no smoke, ever. The clutch grabs and operates solid. The transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding. I have personally driven this car and engine pulls strong as it should, I put over 300 miles on the car. Additional Info: I have a lot of records for this Porsche. The original order options sticker is in the right spot under the front hood. I do not have the original wheels for this car. The history is clean showing 3 owners with no accidents. This 911 is a great driver, and would be a great addition to any collection. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car on a trip anywhere. If you have any questions about this Porsche call Jon @ 908-797-2669. Thank you |

World's largest toy car collection is in Beirut, and it's remarkable
Fri, Jan 31 2014It's common for auto enthusiasts to have a few miniatures of their favorite cars around their home or office. They provide a respite of happiness knowing that if you can't have the real things, at least you can look at them in miniature. However, Billy Karam of Beirut, Lebanon, has taken collecting toy cars to its extreme. His collection of over 30,000 model cars and 400 dioramas is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest collection of car toys. "You cannot buy the big ones, so you buy a thousand of the small ones instead," says Karam in the video. Karam is a former amateur racing driver with a weakness for all things Porsche, and many of his dioramas depict races that he drove in or attended. Looking at them gives him a chance to relive the experiences again, but unlike a photo or video, they are right there in three dimensions. Scroll down to watch this astounding Cool Hunting video narrated by the collection's captivating owner. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Porsche sells a $6,570 office chair
Thu, Mar 31 2016If you're in the market for a new seat and a Porsche fan, then the German company might have the chair of your dreams. Be ready to spend some serious cash, though. The Porsche Office Chair RS looks identical to what is in the company's vehicles, and Porsche promises the chair uses the same leather and Alcantara as in the sports cars. The brand's crest comes embossed on the headrest, too. Buyers also get the usual features you would expect from an office chair like adjustments to the seat height and armrests. There's also a jacket hook at the back. However, the coolest part is the electrically adjustable backrest with a rechargeable battery for power. If the Office Chair RS has one downside, it's the price. Porsche's website shows a list price of $6,570. If you shop around, that's a similar to what a Porsche 944 will set you back, and you can actually drive the 944. If you're looking for something slightly less expensive, Porsche also has a regular office chair that looks very similar to the RS but retails for $5,690, which still isn't much of a bargain, but is pretty cool nonetheless. Porsche Boxster and Cayman 4-cyl rated from 240 hp to 370 hp
Fri, Jul 31 2015Car magazine has information on the revised 981.2-series Porsche Boxster and Cayman twins that will inaugurate the all-turbo era for those two ranges. Almost all-turbo, that is - we're told that variants like the Cayman GT4 will continue with the flat-six. The rest, though, will come with a 2.0-liter, horizontally opposed, four-cylinder aided by just one turbocharger, according to Car's sources. Entry-level models will start at 240 horsepower, the S models graduate to 300 hp, the GTS trims get 370 hp. If accurate, the new new outputs will make for a wider power range than at present, and the base and S cars will go down in horsepower. Right now the Boxster gets 265 hp, the Boxster S gets 315 hp, and the Cayman lineup has ten more horsepower than the Boxster across the range but Car doesn't mention that continuing. The only gains come with the GTS models: the Boxster S will go up by 40 hp, the Cayman by 30 hp. To keep turbo lag from being an issue, Porsche could install some sort of e-boost to work while the turbo spools up "as a short-to-mid-term option." It is also possible that the Cayman will be sold as the entry-level vehicle in some markets at a lower price than the Boxster. The swap is planned to help Cayman sales, which have lagged the Boxster since launch. A 2016 unveil is predicted, perhaps at the Detroit Auto Show or Geneva Motor Show.
