More infos regarding my cat at: ermawolzen@gmx.us . Enthusiast owned, this car was my original car that i owned since 1990 (since I was 19). The title changed hands to
various family members but was always my car, that is, until it was stolen out of my driveway 5 years ago. The car
was recently recovered through litigation, courts, police, and settlement etc.... the story is too long to write
here. TITLE IS CLEAR as theft was never properly reported while I was out of the country.
CAR DOES NOT RUN: It did turn over and had good compression with a new Battery attached. I have had the car in
storage contemplating what to do with it.... I have decided to sell this car and give it to someone that has the
time to bring it back to life. Body is in great condition, but the thieves decided to let every single panel have
some type of scratch or chip on it. Essentially this is a shell, with engine (that needs to be rebuilt),
Transmission, Brake System, Suspension (needs to be assessed). It would be an interesting project to bring it back
to street use, or for the initiated, an interesting track car.
Car was sent to Germany and built up by RUF Automobile GmbH, and Techart GmbH, It is a CTR-Bodied car with front
and rear RUF serial-numbered Bumpers, Wheels, CTR Rear Fender Flares. The Engine and transmission in the car is
from a 1982 SC, the RUF engine is not available. I have another RUF engine available and i will offer it for sale
to the buyer of this car only. I will want minimum $60,000 for that engine if you are interested. I also have a 911
Turbo Transmission I will sell to the Buyer of this car for an additional $5,000. RUF CTR Brakes were replaced with
3.6 Turbo brakes because i read an article from Road and Track that claimed they were better at the time. They were
and the 3.6 Turbo brakes are still on the car. RUF CTR Speedline wheels (not narrow body, not turbo... CTR Wheels)
were made special-order for me by Alois Ruf himself.
While this car was in possession of the last caretakers who took it, they let the car get rained on with the
windows open. I have removed almost all the interior because it was destroyed. The special A/D/S stereo in this car
(used for advertisements) was also stolen from the car. Some Equipment remains, its condition i cannot ascertain.
I will post more pictures tomorrow. Car does not have door handles (damaged by thieves). It comes with the correct
Engine Lid and Spoiler (both of which need to be painted)
You can have either the Aero Mirrors on the car, or the RUF CTR Mirrors (choice up to new buyer). I have a lot of
miscellaneous interior parts that I will sell extremely cheap to the new owner.
Included with the sale (and anything else i can find belonging to this car):
-Mirror Choice up to new owner
-Ruf CTR steering wheel or Momo Techart Steering wheel
-Ruf Badges - NEW
-Ruf Pedals - NEW

Buy a McLaren P1 GTR, Porsche 918 Spyder, and a Ferrari LaFerrari all in one place

Fri, Apr 21 2017

The McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ferrari LaFerrari, are arguably the three greatest hypercars yet. Of course, their extremely limited production meant that some ultra-wealthy individuals may have missed out on picking one up. In fact, to get a LaFerrari, you needed to have owned a certain number of Ferraris, and be in good graces with the company. However, if there are any super-rich car enthusiasts reading this right now, your chance to buy one or all of these three supercars is coming up next month at the RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction in Italy. It will occur on May 27, and feature a McLaren P1 GTR, Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach, and Ferrari LaFerrari. 2016 McLaren P1 GTR McLaren fans, will RM Sotheby's won't offering just any McLaren P1, but rather the hardcore, track-prepped GTR variant. In fact, the GTR is so hardcore that it isn't legal for the street. This particular version went to specialist Lanzante to be converted for road use. Take note that it's only road legal in the UK, and it may not meet laws for other countries. However, that's still more than most GTRs can boast, and if you have the money for this, you shouldn't have any issue taking it to the UK to unleash the P1 GTR's 986 horsepower on public roads. This car could use some driving, too, as it only has about 223 miles on it, some of which included just one track event. RM Sotheby's expects this McLaren to go for between $3.4 million and $3.85 million. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach View 31 Photos The Porsche 918 Spyder going up for auction is a special one as well. The first difference you'll notice is that it has been painted a custom color called "Arrow Blue," a hue specially mixed up as part of Porsche's custom paint service. It also features the lightweight Weissach package, which loses a few extra pounds by replacing an assortment of parts for lighter components. Among them are magnesium wheels and wheel bearings, carbon fiber roof, windshield frame, rear fenders, and rear view mirrors, and even titanium-backed brake pads. According to RM Sotheby's those pads have been replaced with fresh 918-spec pieces. The previous owner clearly enjoyed his or her 918, as it has just over 6,800 miles. In case you're interested in a well-loved 918, the auction house expects it to sell for just under $1.3 million to about $1.5 million.

VW rearranges leadership as brand focuses on electrification

Mon, Dec 21 2015

The Volkswagen overhaul continues into next year with a raft of new executive appointments that CEO Mattias Muller says will enable "Faster decision-making and more efficient action." One of the headline moves is Porsche head of design Michael Mauer taking over VW Group design, succeeding Walter de Silva who retired in early November after running the Group's styling bureau since 2007. Among the sheetmetal on Mauer's resume are the Mercedes SLK and SL from the late nineties, the 2007 Porsche Cayenne, the Panamera, and, most recently, the 918 Spyder. He will retain his current role at Porsche in addition to the new responsibilities. Here's hoping some of the excitement seen in the 918 filters its way down to VW's recently mundane offerings. Dr. Ulrich Eichhorn was head of Group R&D from 2000 to 2003, then went to Bentley, then left the company for the German Association of the Automotive Industry in 2012. He has been lured back to his old role in charge of Group R&D, taking over the shoes recently worn by Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, who resigned in early December while still suspended over his involvement in the diesel emissions fiasco. Ralf-Gerhard Willner takes over Group Product and Modular Toolkit Strategy, after leading development vehicle concept divisions at Audi and VW, and being technical director at Italdesign Giugiaro. He will play a huge role as VW evolves and expands its current platform strategy to include purpose-built electric cars and flat batteries. All those bottoms will be in chairs in Q1 of next year. The number of department heads that report directly to Muller has also been cut, giving Muller more time to focus on "overarching issues of the future." VW says that primary among them will be technology issues from EVs to digital integration. Back in October the company hired Thomas Sedran away from Opel as a lead strategist, his job being to figure out how each of those technical departments and the Group's brands navigate the marketplace and those "issues" from now until 2025. The press release below has more. To that end, functions in the area of responsibility headed by CEO Matthias Muller are being restructured.

2019 Tokyo Auto Salon features one of the coolest auctions we've seen

Thu, Jan 3 2019

In just over a week, the Tokyo Auto Salon will host one of the coolest auctions we've seen in years. Jalopnik spotted BH Auction's listings, and it's a cornucopia of hot machinery you won't typically find at American auctions like Gooding & Company or Barrett Jackson. While Japanese cars make up most of the listings, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and even Dodge all have at least one car going up for auction. We won't include everything here, but you can check out the full list on BH Auction's website. There are 50 lots at the auction, including nine Nissan Skylines, nine Ferraris and two Porsche Carrera GTs. Some of our other favorites include a Honda S800 coupe, a Toyota Miniace truck, a Mitsubishi Willys Jeep and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL gullwing with the V8 from a W124 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG that's estimated to sell for between $1.25 million and $1.5 million.
