FOR SALE: You don't want to miss this. 1974 Porsche Cabriolet Steel Slant Nose Conversion in "NEAR MINT" condition.
this car has 31,012 miles. These are original to the car and if you see it you will agree. Car has been in storage
for the last 13 years. I purchased and have done several things to it. New Tires, New Battery, CDI Module rebuilt,
New plugs and points and have purchased a "NEW TOP" for it but needs installed. Top on car was installed in 2001
and had just dried out. Top brand new in box. I have determined I am more a "Street Rod" or "Vintage car person".
This car is the 2.7 not a turbo. Car is totally custom built. I have tried to find history on car but no luck. Car
is loaded with A/C, 5 speed, premium amplifiers and speakers and Racero seats. There are I am sure things I am
forgetting. If you look at this car you would think it's an 1980's cabriolet. However those sell for $75,000 and
up. You are getting this one for a steal at $29,500. Car is really worth more than this. Not sure who did this
conversion but they did a fantastic job as anyone could tell once they see it. I am sure it was not cheap to do. I
may consider a HIGH END STREET ROD AS PARTIAL TRADE. LETS TALK ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED . Not needing to sell
but with summer round corner someone could have a blast with this car.

Jay Leno chats with Magnus Walker about his 1972 Porsche 911 72STR
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Magnus Walker has stopped by the Big Dog Garage again to pay Jay Leno a visit in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage. This time, the Porsche builder brought along his 1972 911 72STR 002. Walker calls the machine his best build to date, and the car is a rolling "best of" from Porsches past, rocking some of the more attractive elements pulled from a wide arc of 911 model years. Of course, the machine also wears a few signature Walker touches, including flush-mount turning indicators, a center-hood fuel filler and plenty of louver work.
Unlike some of Walker's other creations, the 72STR 002 is clean enough to lick. Leno seems suitably impressed with the creation, and while apparently isn't typically a fan of Porsche models in general, Walker's tastefully modified 911 has him singing a different tune. You can check out the car in the video below.
Ford Mustang outsold Audi TT and Porsche 911 in Germany
Fri, Apr 8 2016Despite being the antithesis of the cars Germany is known for, the new Ford Mustang was the best selling sports car in the land of schnitzel and beer last month by a whisker. The Mustang beat out the Audi TT by 780 units to 708, and it beat Germany's best known performance car, the Porsche 911, 780 to 752. That makes some sense, right? The Mustang has to be cheaper than those competitors, right? Not really. Both the EcoBoost and V8-powered Mustang have higher starting prices than the equivalent TT. The 2.3-liter, EcoBoost-powered Mustang starts at 38,000 euros (around $43,300 at today's rates), while the front-drive Audi TT starts at 35,950 euros (about $41,000). The V8-powered Mustang GT, meanwhile, starts at 43,000 euros (about $49,000), which is just 2,550 euros more than the Quattro-equipped TT. When 310 horsepower or 435 hp can be had for just a couple thousand more than 220 hp, it's easy to understand the Mustang's success. The 911, of course, is a lot more expensive than the Mustang. You can buy two Mustang GTs for the price of a single Carrera. But Ford also managed to beat out the Porsche's smaller siblings, the Boxster and Cayman twins, which sold a combined 642 vehicles. Again, the pony car is significantly cheaper, but that doesn't do much to lessen the impact of the Mustang's victory. If you're in Germany and are concerned about this American invasion, you shouldn't be (yet). The TT is Germany's best-selling sports car from January through March, with 2,299 to the Ford's 1,823. Porsche is breathing down the pony car's neck, too, with 1,811 units in 2016. It'll be interesting to see if Ford's successful March carries on into the rest of 2016. Related Video:
