I am selling my 911 S as I would like a change. I have owned this car since 2004 (I have the title in my name), in that time I have put 7,000 miles on it. I have used it for short weekend drives mainly but also the odd 100 miles plus journey. I have always had the car serviced by a Porsche specialist and perhaps spent $6,000 or so on the car since I have had it; on things like new brakes, new windscreen, shift linkage bushings, etc. The car is in my opinion a very nice driving car. I am not a mechanic, expert or dealer so from my limited expertise I would say the car is very nice. The pictures included are all taken in the last few days or weeks. It presents very well and drives well. The underneath shots show the ziebart rust proofing treatment the car had from when it was first bought years ago. To my eye there is no obvious rust of any type other than where an exposed under section like a sway-bar or a shielding has surface rust. The car has all the bills and records from literally its first repair/service, it also has the service booklet, I have all the original keys, owner's manual and sleeve. Also there is the COA from a previous owner (original engine #6331271 is in the car - someone just asked me and I checked). The seats are Recaro (have the original warranty) for those too. The thing that this car has that will be a plus or minus depending on what you want it is the modification to the engine. It is supercharged. The car is very fast. I have the bill and the pictures of the engine when built (see photos) - about 30,000 miles ago/circa 1989 at a cost of $10,000 plus the engine was rebuilt and a new breathing system installed, to accommodate the pulley the bonnet was tastefully modified too. The pictures show the changes. This was all done long before I owned the car so I cannot answer too much detail. Car was serviced about 200 miles ago.

Ebay asks that I describe faults so these are the main faults in my view, I am trying to be as honest as I can and leave it up to you to judge what you think of the car vs. being a huckster. The paint is very high quality but there are a few small cracks at seems e.g. where A pillar and fender meet, the clock does not work, the A/C plumbing was removed when the engine was modified and does not come with car, the car starts every time but as I don't drive it too much it smokes for the first minute or two but once warmed up is fine, like many 911's it weeps oil but nothing too bothersome, the driver's seat has a small fraying on side that seems to be not getting any worse, the dash top was cracked and a cap put on it and some of the rubber weather stripping would need replacing.

This car is being sold "as is" and "where is" with no guarantees implied or otherwise. The sale is final. I ask for a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $1,000 within 72 hours of the auction end via bank wire transfer or cashier's check via overnight mail. Fully cleared funds of full payment must be received within 10 days of auction regardless of when you arrange for pick up of vehicle. If deposit is not received within the required period of time, the vehicle will be offered for sale to runner up high bidder or re-listed. This is to be considered an absolute sale and the buyer is required to comply with all of my conditions in these terms of sale. With your winning bid the auction you agree with my terms of sale and the terms of sale are to be considered a legal and binding purchase agreement. There are no inspections to be made after the auction ends. I reserve the right to cancel any bid at any time and to end the auction early for any reason. I have tried to describe in any known flaws in the vehicle. The displayed odometer mileage on the vehicle is correct at the time of listing. This is an older car, 40 years old, so condition is a subjective thing to individual. I shall not be responsible for the absolute correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and make no guaranties or warranty in connection with the sale of this vehicle. My description of the vehicle is for presentation only and not to be accepted as a warranty of any type. It is up to the buyer to have themselves satisfied as to the condition and value of the vehicle before bidding and to bid based upon that judgment only. I assume no responsibility for any repairs whatsoever regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle.

Good luck and thank you for your interest

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.

Audi RS7 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo, which would you pick? [w/poll]

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.
After having a look at the video, register a vote for the car you'd park in your driveway in our poll. Hop below for the full video from the team at Motor Trend.

Porsche 911 going all-turbo this year save for GT3 and GT3 RS

Fri, Jan 23 2015

The coming Porsche 911 GT3 RS will represent another high-water mark for the brand, and another milestone. Its 500-or-so horsepower and extreme aero are predicted to lop more than five seconds off the 7:20 Nurburgring lap time of the current GT3, making it "comfortably less" than 7:20. Beyond that, its naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter will form the basis of the turbocharged engines going into the standard range of 911s later this year as 2016 models. That's right – if you're looking for a sub-GT3 911 that gulps its air without compressed assistance, then you've only got a few months to get a new one into your garage. Emissions regulations are the reason, of course, with Porsche's R&D chief Wolfgang Hatz saying that, "Every new model will have lower CO2 than before," and "if you look at euro per g/km, then it's turbo." We don't know what the engine lineup will look like, however; a few months ago Car reported that the base 911 would get a smaller-displacement version of the engine, while the S would stick with 3.8-liter displacement and jump to 520 horsepower, which is the same as the current Turbo. After that, Hatz said, "at the end of the decade electrification has to be the next huge step." That means a hybrid 911 is being cooked up somewhere. Yet even as the brand leaps into the new, there's a chance it could dip a toe back into the old: the 911 GT3 RS will launch with a PDK, but Hatz's team is considering adding the option of a seven-speed manual. Elsewhere in the range, the Cayman GT4 is being engineered by Porsche Motorsport as an entry-level racer, with more power than the current Cayman GTS to go with some serious weight loss. They are also developing a track-only model for privateers. The standard Boxster and Cayman will get turbocharged flat-four engines, but there'll be a sporty Boxster that also loses weight and gets more power than the 325-hp Boxster GTS. And that mid-level supercar that's been floating in the ether for years and supposedly sent to purgatory again just last November? It's on the way by 2020 "at the latest," and will use a version of the new V8 that will eventually go into the Cayenne and Panamera.
