This is not an inexpensive 993. There are several of those around as these vehicles approach 20 years of age. Most are fixed as they break leaving the owner having to put in lots of time and money and unable to truly appreciate the experience.. This Porsche was reconditioned with no expence spared. It was originally a US car and I chose the year 1995 to make sure that an SAI  light issue would never occur. I have repaired several of these systems and they can be very expensive to clean out. All of the work was done by myself ,I would trust very few others to work on my car. The pictures tell the story of the effort to make this car as perfect as I could. Three years later there is not a single drop of oil leaking from anywhere. I just replaced all the pads ,rotors and sensors with OEM parts as you can see in the photos. I do not have time to drive this car  so it is time to go to a new home. Although it is not cheap it is still a gift in this condition. The factory tan sport seats with matching red backs are in excellent condition. The 3 spoke custom leather wheel with red stitching is beautiful. The original goes with the car as well as the original front splitters.

Some recent major things done(last 10k-3yrs)
It ran perfectly before this work was done. This is preventive maintenance.

-New clutch,DMF and related components
-Rebuilt alternator
-Rebuilt distributer
-Most hoses and oil lines new
-new flywheel and speed sensor
-All seals and gaskets replaced
-new euro factory shocks and springs
-sheet metal powder coated
-fan and fan housing powder coated
-new fan bearing
-new engine wiring harness
-new Beru red plug wires (custom made),caps and rotors, plugs
-new factory brakes all around
-new premium engine pad(ultimate)
-new engine knock sensors
-new a arm bushings
-windshield and all corner lenses replaced by previous owner
-previous owner had wheels refinished
-clutch slave and hose replaced
-fuel injectors professionally cleaned and spec tested
-new recent battery
-All hydraulic valve lifters replaced ( that causes the clack clack sound for a few seconds when you start a 993 from cold if you have more than 60-75k on it. The original factory ones just dissolve over time.)
lots more

People have inquired about the recent brake work. It was completed last week and included removal , inspection of calipers. Removal ,cleaning and polishing of sliders. Reassembly with Porsche spiders (antisqueal clips) and OE pads. Full brake flush with new Premium dot 4. New OE Zimmerman coated /drilled rotors.

A person has requested information about the ultimate engine pad. This is a US manufactured replacement for the OE pad that you see lying on the top of most 993 engines. It is more expensive than the OE and is made of three materials. A foil back a felt inner and a special rubber outer. It is marketed as The Ultimate Sound Pad. Guaranteed not to fall apart like the original. Most of the cars suffer from this and in many cases the photo shots of the cars are at an angle that you can't make it out until you get your new car and open the engine compartment and see the pieces all over the engine. It is on even low mileage cars as it is a time thing not a mileage issue. You need to pull the engine and remove a lot of hoses ect to do a decent replacement job. You have to question when you hear of an engine rebuilt and see the pad in pieces on the new engine. That gives you an indication that it was done on a budget. Porsche engine tight budget rebuilds??? At almost twenty years most rubber parts are finished ,hence the need for preventive replacement or pay the price.

A question came in on the  rubber convertible top seal that goes above the windshield and down around the doors. It has been replaced with the Porsche part. $800. The top works and seals as good as new.

Of Note  I have been told that the third number in my serial # is number 0  not the letter O as in the listing.  So to confirm from my Porsche certificate of Authenticity   WP0CA2991SS342944

McLaren P1 vs Porsche 918 vs Ducati 1199 Superleggera in epic standing-mile drag race

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

We live in a high-tech supercar renaissance, with the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari all duking it out for performance supremacy. All three members of this power trio place the engine behind the driver and use some kind of hybrid assist. However, each one finds a slightly different way to make that setup work. While all of the tech is insanely cool, let's just admit that we are all really wondering which one is the quickest and which is the fastest. Autocar aims to find out in a new video pitting two of them against a surprise challenger in the standing mile.
Unfortunately, the race is missing the Ferrari, despite Autocar's best efforts. So instead, it has another limited-edition, high-performance vehicle from Italy in the form of the Ducati 1199 Superleggera. The bike has just two cylinders, but at 1.2-liters of displacement, it makes over 200 horsepower, and all that gumption is packaged into a magnesium monocoque body with carbon fiber bodywork to keep weight low. Granted, the cycle is going up against the 875-hp Porsche and 903-hp McLaren, but traction, aerodynamics and gearing all play a part in this fascinating video.
There's no sense in ruining the winner before watching, but Autocar teases that the finish is one of its closest drag races ever. Check out the video to find out just what that means.

Gemballa reveals new Porsche 991-based GT convertible

Sun, 16 Sep 2012

Gemballa went through the ringer last year, but rebounded with products that signal a complete turnaround. The latest is the recently-released Porsche 911 Carrera S with a Gemballa GT aerodynamics and technology package. Aero-wise, it includes carbon fiber additions beginning with a front bumper wearing the classic Gemballa air intake design and a lower, angrier splitter. New side skirts run from wheel to wheel, the final piece being a rear bumper in three sculpted horizontal sections featuring a rear diffuser tucked between six rectangular exhaust tips.
No engine mods have been made, but the technology part of the tune - springs that are 30 millimeters shorter yet still able to work with the PASM system - is claimed to make the car faster. Bringing things to a halt is a new Brembo brake system hiding behind 21-inch GForged wheels that are lighter than Porsche's standard 20-inchers.
The Gemballa GT aero kit runs €19,860 ($26,070 U.S.), which includes paint and installation if you happen to be in Germany, and we're assuming that includes the suspension modification, brakes and sport exhaust. The GForged wheels are another €9,895 ($12,989 U.S.) depending on your choice of tire. Check out the press release below for more info, and the photo gallery above for all the angles.

Ferrari 458 Speciale vs Porsche 911 GT3 shows what Chris Harris does best

Thu, Nov 27 2014

After a brief trip behind a pay wall, British auto journalist Chris Harris is back posting videos for free online, and shorts like this one are the perfect example of why his return is so welcome. Showing up at the damp Anglesey Circuit on the Welsh coast with the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 911 GT3, Harris ostensibly aims to find the better model. However, the final result really succeeds in showcasing the fun to be had behind the wheels of both supercars, particularly when initiating huge slides around the track. As Harris presents it, the vehicles get through the circuit in somewhat different ways The Ferrari is brash and "feels alive," as he puts it as it screams around the track. Alternatively, the Porsche is a bit more restrained, while still being able to show some emotion. In the end, it comes down to trying to get a controlled lap around Anglesey from this duo, but it's pretty clear that the times don't tell the whole story. If you're in the mood to watch two of the world's premiere supercars wag their tails in the wet, then this video cannot be missed.
