1963 Porsche 356 Super

This is an original ivory with black interior. The interior seems all original a few splits in the front seats but still very nice original look and feel. The dash is nice and stock with original working radio and we think the motor is matching as the series lines up correct for the year. Recently serviced with a new gas tank, muffler, shifter bushings and brake attention. Starts on the key and runs and drives. The 356 that needs a little continued sorting and care but will provide instant gratification from the first start of the key, hearing the motor and driving around town in this nostalgic vintage collector Porsche. Chassis # 211635 Motor# 703761

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. This Porsche 911 GT3 sounds awesome at Targa Tasmania

Tue, Apr 19 2016

Unleash high-performance vehicles on closed public roads, and you're practically guaranteed to see something great. Watch a 991-generation Porsche 911 GT3 singing on those picturesque highways, and things just get better. The Targa Tasmania challenges drivers and their machines to negotiate tricky stages in a beautiful setting every year, but there's something mesmerizing about watching this video of a GT3 take the victory in the GT2 class in the rally's 2016 running. Just turn up the speakers, sit back, and enjoy Matt Close and Cameron Reeves put on a show. They take the Porsche from small villages through mountain roads and verdant pastures to eventually attain a class victory. It's a beautiful sight and well worth briefly enjoying in this four-minute video, especially for the great sound. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
