Please read my Feedback.  I have been selling vehicles on Ebay since 2005 and have a Perfect Record with my customers. I know buying a car sight unseen can be intimidating, so if you have ANY questions about the process, please do not hesitate to call me at 708.927.9990, ask for Tim. After hours and weekend calls are fine.

NO RESERVE AUCTION !!

ONE OWNER !!

Don't want to wait till the end? Give me a call, maybe we can work something out. Remember only one person can be the last bidder. Take a look at the picture of the rear window, there may be a hint as to a possible sale price.

You are buying a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, 2 Door, Automatic with a Moon Roof. Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors.

This vehicle was traded in at a new car dealer, I picked it up from them. Auto Check reports it to be a ONE OWNER accident free vehicle. I always drive my cars a few days, just to make sure everything is operating properly. For some reason, I drove this one for over 2,000 miles. It started up and ran perfectly, thru every cold day in the last month or so. I am now just listing it for sale for the first time.

Color : SILVER

Body : No rust, No collision damage. There is hail damage on the top of this car, that does not show up in the pics. In fact, it probably looks better in the photos than it does up close. It could be repaired by a paintless dent repair technician, but given the price point, I do not feel it is a wise investment. The paint is NOT broken and it will NOT rust. I am sure you are looking at other vehicles that also have cosmetic damage that does not show up in pictures, but those sellers are keeping quiet about it. I believe in full disclosure.

Interior : Cloth Interior. Looks decent, see pics. You will notice some wear ( not torn ) in the driver seat. Also, please notice driver carpet.

Mechanical : No warning lights, No unusual noises, No issues present at this time. Drives out fine. The radio does not work properly. The volume is stuck on one level and the display can not be read. A $99.00 box store radio should solve that problem. Other than the radio, I am not aware of any problems with this vehicle. As I previously mentioned I personally have driven this vehicle over 2,000 problem free miles.

Tires : About 50 % tread left.

Glass : No cracks. No major stars.

Misc : 1 Key Only. Owners Manual is Missing. Spare Tire is Present. Note : Ebay used to provide an Auto Check report for free, now they charge for it, so I have included the Summary Page of the report in one of the pictures. The report shows this car to be a ONE OWNER accident free vehicle.

Title : This is a CLEAN title car, meaning it is NOT salvage, rebuilt, flood, etc. I only sell clean title vehicles.

Warranty : The Warranty has expired.

Trade Ins : Not a problem. Please email me you best description, including VIN number and I will get back to you with a number.

Shipping : I prefer if you make your own arrangements. I will work with whatever shipping company you choose.

TERMS : This is VERY important. We need to be on the same page regarding the terms. I must have a $500.00 Instant down payment, thru Paypal. The balance is due in Cash, within 7 days.  If you have ANY questions about the terms, please ask prior to bidding. Thanks!

IL Residents : Add Tax, Title, and Plate Fees. Residents of 8 other states will be charged Tax. AZ,CA,FL,HI,IN,MA,MI,SC

Other Fees : NONE! Unlike most other auto sellers on Ebay, I charge NO extra add on fees. They call it a processing fee, paperwork fee, prep fee, doc fee, detail fee, etc. When you buy a car here, the final price is the final price! The only other charges are those required by law, see section above.

Free Drive Away Permits : Most sellers charge for these, I do not. If you are an out of state buyer, you will need one to drive home legally.

Free Airport Pick Up : Please call me prior to booking your flight. Some days work out better for pick up than others. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday are best. Wednesday and Thursday are a little tougher, I can only offer late afternoon or early evening pick up on Wednesday and Thursday. No pick up on Sunday.

In Conclusion : Not all used cars are same.  More importantly, not all sellers are the same. Please read my Feedback, I try very hard to keep my customers satisfied. All vehicles are described in detail, no extra fees are hidden in the deal,  FREE drive away permits are provided, along with FREE airport pick up. I think you may have just found your next car.

Thanks for the taking the time to read the entire listing. I hope I have answered all of your questions about this vehicle. If not, feel free to contact me at 708.927.9990, ( Tim ). After hours and weekend calls are fine.

This or That: 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 vs. 1984 Pontiac Fiero

Tue, Feb 10 2015

Welcome to another round of This or That, where two Autoblog editors pick a topic, pick a side and pull no punches. Last round pitted yours truly against Associate Editor Brandon Turkus, and my chosen VW Vanagon Syncro narrowly defeated Brandon's 1987 Land Rover. In fact, it was, by far, the closest round we've seen, with 1,907 voters seeing things my way (for 50.8 percent of the vote) versus 1,848 votes for Brandon's Rover (49.2 percent). Sweet, sweet victory! For this latest round of This or That, I've roped Editor Greg Migliore into what I think is a rather fun debate. We've each chosen our favorite terrible cars, setting a price limit of $10,000 to make sure neither of us went too crazy with our automotive atrocities. I think we've both chosen terribly... and I mean that in the best way possible. 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 Jeremy Korzeniewski: Why It's Terrible: Taken in isolation, the Chrysler Crossfire isn't necessarily a terrible car. In fact, it drives pretty darn well, and there's a lot of solid engineering under its slinky shape. Problem is, that engineering was already rather long in the tooth well before Chrysler ever got its hands on it, having come from Mercedes-Benz, which used the basic chassis and drivetrain in a previous version of its SLK coupe and roadster. Granted, the SLK was an okay car, too, but even when new, it hardly set the world on fire with sporty driving dynamics. Chrysler took these decent-but-no-more bits and pieces from the Mercedes parts bin – remember, this car was conceived in the disastrous Merger Of Equals days – and covered them with a rather attractive hard-candy shell. Unfortunately, the super sporty shape wrote checks in the minds of buyers that its well-worn mechanicals were simply unable to cash, though an injection of power courtesy of a supercharged V6 engine in the SRT6 model, as seen here, certainly helped ease some of those woes. In the end, Chrysler was left with a so-called halo car that looked the part but never quite performed the part. It was almost universally panned by critics as an overpriced parts-bin special, which, I must add, was damningly accurate. As a result, sales were very slow, and within the first few months, dealers were clearancing the car at cut-rate prices, just to keep them from taking up too much of the showroom floor. Why It's Not That Terrible, After All: I can speak from personal experience when discussing the Chrysler Crossfire. You see, I owned one. Well, sort of...

Junkyard Gem: 1986 Pontiac Sunbird Sedan

Sun, Jun 28 2020

The J-Body platform was a giant seller for GM, staying in production from the first 1981 Chevrolet Cavalier all the way through that final 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Outside of North America, Opels and Daewoos and Isuzus and Holdens and Vauxhalls and even Toyotas flew the J flag, and better than ten million rolled out of showrooms during that quarter-century. In the United States, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick, and Cadillac each sold J-Bodies. Of those, the Pontiac Sunbird often had the sportiest image, more cavalier than even the Cavalier Z24. I've documented a discarded Sunbird Turbo in the past, and now here's a bread-and-butter Sunbird sedan from the same era. The Sunbird name began its life in 1976 on the Pontiac-badged version of the rear-wheel-drive Buick Skyhawk, itself based on the Chevy Vega. The first J-Body Pontiacs had J2000 badges, then 2000 badges, then 2000 Sunbird badges, until finally the pure non-2000 Sunbird appeared for the 1985 model year. I remain disappointed that the 2000 name didn't survive into our current century, because we could have had a 2000 Pontiac 2000, or just the "2000 2000" for short. The base engine in the '86 Sunbird was this SOHC 1.8-liter four of Brazilian origin, rated at 84 horsepower. Originally developed by Opel in the late 1970s, this engine family went into cars built all across the sprawling GM empire. 84 horsepower doesn't sound like much— and it wasn't much, even by 1986 standards— but at least the original buyer of this car had the smarts to get the five-speed manual transmission. This car weighed just 2,336 pounds, a good 500 pounds lighter than the current Chevy Sonic, so performance with the manual transmission was tolerable. The '86 Sunbird's interior was much nicer than those in its Cavalier siblings, though nowhere near the Cadillac Cimarron's reading on the Plush-O-Meter. An AM/FM/cassette stereo with auto reverse was serious audio hardware in a cheap car during the middle 1980s, when even a scratchy factory AM-only radio cost the equivalent of several hundred 2020 bucks. The price tag of this car started at $7,495, or about $17,500 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible Cavalier sedan went for $6,888 in 1986, but a zero-option base '86 Cavalier would make you think you'd been transported to the Soviet Union every time you slunk into its harsh confines. Junkyard Gem: 2007 Saturn Sky

Sat, Jun 26 2021

The Pontiac Division didn't have long to live when the Solstice first appeared in 2005 as a 2006 model, and Saturn's head was inching toward the chopping block at about the same rate. Still, optimism reigned — at least, it did until the global economy fell apart — and so Saturn Dealers got a rebadged version of the Solstice to sell: the Sky. Available for just the 2007 through 2010 model years, slightly more than 34,000 Skies rolled out of showrooms before the doors were nailed shut. Here's one of those rare cars, found in a Denver-area self-service yard a few weeks ago. I've found a handful of discarded Solstices in car graveyards during the past few years, mostly with crash damage. This Sky endured a medium-hard impact in the right front corner, which sent it to this place. The 177-horsepower, 2.4-liter Ecotec still resides under the battered hood. The Sky Redline version had a turbocharged engine rated at 260 horses; we can assume that such an engine would be yanked and purchased by the first junkyard shopper that realized what it was. The base transmission in the Sky was an Aisin five-speed manual, but this car has the optional five-speed automatic.  The Sky had its own nose and some different badging, but otherwise didn't differ much from the Solstice.  For the South Korean market, the Sky got Daewoo G2X badges and was advertised as the ideal vehicle for high-speed chases through Seoul traffic. The same car went to Europe as the Opel GT. Sadly, GM ran out of money to make right-hand-drive Skies, so we never got to witness Holden or Vauxhall versions. Here's Bob Lutz describing the new Sky. Lutz really hated car names molded into plastic bumper covers, so he takes great care here to describe the genuine glued-on emblems. Related Video:
