For sale is my 07 Pontiac Solstice. LS7 Conversion. LS7 is no longer stock, Thompson Automotive has rebuilt it to their standards, now packs 630 horsepower with a all forged rotating assy and custom grind camshaft. Conversion is seamless. If you were not into cars you would think that this Solstice came as new from the factory with the LS7. Transmission is a Tremec 6 speed, clutch assy is new from a Corvette. Rear differential is a Cadillac CTS-V to handle the extra horsepower. You will not break the drivetrain unless you bolt slicks to it and try to hook it, otherwise it is a tire smoker through all gears.
Very driveable. No surges, lugging, etc. I took my boy (8 years old) to the Frankenmuth auto fest in it, about 2 hrs from my house and he was asleep 5 minutes into the return trip and never woke up. Quiet when the top is down, loud when you want it to be.
I have seen other conversions and heard the complaints about them, ie cruise control doesn't work, a/c doesn't work, factory guages go in and out. THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS!!!! I have put 5000 miles on it this summer and have done nothing to it but change the oil and put gas in it. It is truly a head turner, sleeper!!
Has been on multiple Hot Rod Power tours and has been on the cover of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine.
Custom red leather trimmed interior.
SSBC brakes at all four corners.
GM road race solstice suspension all the way around.
Custom stainless headers, custom exhaust all stainless with v-band clamps to boot.
Much more to list, if you drive this car you will buy it. I have a 63 nova that has been rotisserie restored and is mint, but I choose to drive this everytime I go somewhere just because you will never see one of this quality and you are guaranteed to be the hit of wherever you go.
Selling to fund another project, LS7 in a 69 Camaro! You can't beat this new technology.
I drive it everywhere, 20 mpg if you can keep you foot out of it, otherwise you get 10 to 11 mpg. Never lost a race, embarassed many new vette owners.
Feel free to call, 8103050049. Only if you are serious, and no calls stating I work on a boat and my transporter can pickup scams. Cash only.
Car is guaranteed to amaze.

Thanks, Chris.

Junkyard Gem: 1964 Pontiac Catalina Custom Ventura
Mon, May 22 2023Like Impala, Skylark, Malibu and Silverado (among many others), the Ventura name began its career as the designation for a trim level or option package used on another GM model, then became a model name in its own right. Initially a designation for a snazzed-up Pontiac Catalina two- or four-door hardtop, the Ventura name moved over to a Pontiac-ized version of the Chevy Nova for 1971. Today's Junkyard Gem, found in a Northern California car graveyard, proudly bears both Catalina and Ventura badging. Actually, the Catalina name itself started out as a trim level for the Chieftain and Star Chief models of the 1950s, just to confuse everybody. By the time this car was built, the Catalina was the cheapest of four Pontiac models built on the same full-size B-Body platform as the big Chevrolets and Olds 88s of the time (the Star Chief, Bonneville and Grand Prix ranked above it on the 1964 Pontiac Prestige-O-Meter). The 1964 Catalina four-door hardtop with the Custom Ventura package offered a lot of swank per dollar, with a price starting at $3,063. That's about $29,821 when converted to inflated 2023 dollars. The main benefit of the Custom Ventura package was an interior done up entirely in Morrokide upholstery. Morrokide was the name GM applied to Naugahyde fake leather when used in Pontiac vehicles; when used in Buicks, it was known as Cordaveen, while Oldsmobile Naugahyde was called Morocceen. Naugahyde took its name from the town of Naugatuck, Connecticut, where it was invented. This car's Morrokide is in rough shape. In fact, everything about this car is decayed and probably infectious. You know to be careful when a junkyard car has warnings about rat feces inked on the glass. That said, I couldn't resist examining the 8-track tapes that littered the interior. Here's Hotel California, the 1976 hit album by the Eagles. Supertramp's Paris, a live album recorded from the 1979 Breakfast in America tour, is here as well. Here's The Best of Carly Simon, from 1975. The tapes were played on this Sparkomatic player, which probably lived in the glovebox or under the seat. The factory radio was AM-only, and includes the frequency markings for the atomic-attack CONELRAD emergency frequencies. 1964 was the last year for mandatory CONELRAD radios in the United States.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
