up for auction is a 1969 Pontiac LeMans - it has a great running Pontiac 350 in it with a automatic transmission.The Engine runs great and the Transmission shifts smoothly.The Floors and Trunk are in nice condition,there was some rust but it was cut out and metal welded in,The engine was rebuilt about 1 year ago as was the transmission.Edelbrock 4bbl caburator (rebuilt)powersteering and powerbrakes,Headers..Like i said it is a partial restoration,not a ground up restoration,this car is a nice daily driver and gets attention everywhere you go.A lot of new parts were installed,

here is a list of the new parts: 2 1/2" Exhaust with cherrybombs and tips,awesome sound,powersteering hoses,mirrors,dorrhandles,rear bumper,window felts,weatherstripping,antenna,brake booster,front tires,distributor,all new brakelines,control arms,new lowered front springs,all new shocks and coils,inside handles,battery tray,sill plates,carpet,arm rest,pillas,door latch,locks,electric fuel pump,15" centerline wheels and so on.The Interior has custom flame stitching and was refurbished,The seats are very comftable and the car drives nice and smooth down the road,no noices no wobbling.all windows go up and down easy,the stereo is not hooked up.now for the paint-as you seen in the picture the car was painted silver and then dipped flat black - The Dip is a rubber based paint which can be taken off easily if desired-i personally like that bad look.

Headlights,brakelights,turnsignal are all working,the dash lights are not,horn is not,the speedo is working

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.

Smokey and the Bandit is one of those quintessential 1970s car movies with insane premises but tons of fun. After all, the basic plot of the film is about distracting the police to transport cases of Coors beer cross country. While Burt Reynolds receives top billing, the real star is definitely his black Pontiac Trans-Am. Now, there's a chance to posses one of these muscle machines actually owned by Reynolds, and it's already proving quite popular. The car is a '77 Trans-Am with the famous, gold screaming chicken proudly on the hood. However, while this is a piece of Reynolds memorabilia, it's not really part of cinematic history. According to the listing, this example was used as a promotional vehicle and then given to Reynolds with a title showing him as a previous owner for proof. Still, there's 400-cubic-inch (6.55-liter) V8 under the hood with a 4-barrel carburetor and an automatic transmission. A plaque inside the driver's door proclaims the car as a "1977 Pontiac Trans Am Owned By Burt Reynolds," and there's a Bandit logo on the door. This is just one lot of Julien Auction's sale of Reynolds memorabilia on December 11 and 12 at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. Bidding is already running online, and the Trans-Am is up to $130,000, as of this writing. For the true Reynolds fanatic, the auction also lists the motorized stagecoach from his wedding to Loni Anderson. It rides built on an International Harvester Scout frame with an interior reportedly from Dolly Parton.

When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point.
