1965 PONTIAC LEMANS 4 DOOR. ONE OWNER UNTIL I PURCHASED IT. I TURNED IN THE ORIG GEORGIA TITLE. THE GRANDSON OF THE ORIG OWNER (GRANDMOTHER) GAVE HIM THE CAR IN 1995 WHERE THE GRANDSON TOOK THE CAR TO HIS HOME IN MONTROSE CO. THE CAR WAS REPAINTED, NEW VINAL TOP PUT ON THEN PUT IN HIS GARAGE. SOMETIME IN THE MID 2000'S IT WAS MOVED IN TO THE BARN WHERE IT STAYED FROM THERE ON. THIS CAR IS SO COOL! 4 DOOR 65'S ARE VERY HARD TO FIND. THE PAINT IS VERY GOOD DRIVER QUALITY, BODY GREAT, NEVER WRECKED. INSIDE IS VERY GOOD FOR A 65 BUT THE DRIVERS SEAT INSERT IS STARTING TO RIP AND IT WILL NEED A HEADLINER. DASH IS SUPER NICE. EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT THE FRONT SPEAKER (REAR STILL WORKS WITH THE ORIG AM RADIO!) AND THE CIG LIGHTER. OUTSIDE IS VERY CLEAN. THE REAR BUMPER IS GETTING THIN ON CHROME AND ONE BACK UP LENS IS MISSING. FRONT END IS CHERRY! IT RUNS AND DRIVES SUPER TIGHT. WILL NEED THE FRONT BRAKES ADJUSTED AS IT WANTS TO PULL A LITTLE TO THE LEFT. NEW MASTER CYL, FUEL PUMP, FUEL LINES AND FILTER. IN THE TRUNK HAS SOME SURFACE RUST FROM MOISTURE AND A FEW TINNY HOLES (JUST A FEW) STILL HAS THE FACT MAT AND JACK. NO OTHER RUST ON OR UNDER THIS CAR! THE MOTOR IS PRETTY MUCH ALL ORIG AND WILL NEED PAINTED AS MOST OF IT CAME OFF WHEN IT WAS CLEANED. SOLID MOTOR AS YOU WOULD EXPECT WITH NO SMOKE, FACTORY POWERGLIDE TRANS SHIFTS GREAT. I AM TRYING TO NIT PICK EVER LITTLE THING. BELIEVE ME THIS IS A DEAD SOLID RUNNING, LOOKING AND DRIVING CLASSIC! POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. FACT AIR IS COMPLETE BUT NEEDS A COMP CLUTCH. THE BOOK ON THESE ARE ABOUT 6K TO 18K WITHOUT ANYTHING ABOUT THE SUPER LOW MILEAGE. HAVE ALL KINDS OF PAPERWORK INC SALES RECIEPT AND MORE. HATE TO SELL BUT HAVE OTHER INTERESTS. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING!

6 car mashups that God never intended
Sat, May 17 2014In the 2000s, the musical mashup genre saw a peak of popularity with releases like The Grey Album from Danger Mouse that mixed The Beatles and Jay-Z. UK artist James Pursey from Carwow decided to take the same concept of shoehorning two disparate things together but applied the concept to cars. Your opinion on the results will vary with your sense of humor. These creations are either some funny pieces of abstract art or absolute monstrosities that prove good design should be left alone. Likely the best of the bunch is the Lambotomic (pictured above), which combines a Lamborghini Miura and an Ariel Atom. Granted, the Ariel is little more than a skeleton to begin with, and the outcome looks like a slightly stretched Atom with the new nose and tail from one of the most beautiful vehicles ever. This could actually work. Though, not all of the mashups are quite so pleasant. The Porschiac WW RS (pictured right) is absolutely disgusting. It combines a Pontiac Aztek, which isn't a beauty queen to start with, and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Obviously, the 911 is an iconic shape in autonobolia, but that can't save it from the horror of the Aztek. Pursey fits the its nose, wheel, wing, roll cage and stripes onto the Pontiac. The outcome: A design that will show up in your nightmares. Check out the gallery for the rest of the mashups, including the Humi (a Humvee and a Mini), Aston Smartin (Aston Martin and Smart), Rangerini (Range Rover and Lamborghini Aventador) and the Mazdafenda (Mazda MX-5 Miata and Land Rover Defender). They might not all be beautiful (or even pretty), but it's fun to imagine these oddball creations actually driving down the road. Camaro-based Trans Am SE Bandit Edition borrows Burt Reynolds
Tue, Mar 29 2016For some reason, modifying modern Chevrolet Camaros into the lurching, reincarnated shells of the Pontiac brand is still a thing. If you're the perverse sort that likes this kind of thing, you should check out the latest product from the Trans Am Depot, which comes complete with an endorsement from the star of Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds. Yes, the new Trans Am SE Bandit Edition has been signed and endorsed by the man himself, but what's important here is not the signature on the dash, it's the bits of Camaro that have been modified. Aesthetically, that means a Bandit-and-Frog-approved set of T-tops, a front-opening hood with a very large, prominent shaker scoop, an equally large and prominent screaming chicken, and Trans Am-inspired front and rear fascias. And naturally, Burt Reynolds' signature adorns the dash. There are plenty of reminders in the cabin about this car's Hollywood inspiration, too. Bandit decals can be found on the front headrests and center console lid, there are chicken wings on the Camaro-spec plastic door inserts, and the black-and-tan color scheme matches nicely with the exterior look. And power? Well, Sheriff Buford T. Justice would have a lot more trouble keeping up with this Trans Am than he did with the original. The 7.4-liter LSX V8 has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger which is good for 840 horsepower. It's fast and loud, and even if you can't get behind the look (we can't), at least this Camaro-in-Trans Am's clothing can impress with its performance. The Bandit Edition is limited to just 77 units with prices starting around $115,000. You can check out the official video from Trans Am Depot, which comes with a decent helping of Burt Reynolds, up top. Related Video:
'67 Chevy Corvair convertible vs. '86 Pontiac Fiero in cult classic showdown
Fri, 22 Aug 2014Every few a decades, the folks running General Motors lose their minds briefly try to market a car that public doesn't see coming and often aren't ready for. In the '60s there was the rear-engine, air-cooled Chevrolet Corvair, then the mid-engine Pontiac Fiero in the '80s and the completely bizarre Chevy SSR in the 2000s. What all of these had in common was that they bucked the trend for American models of their era, for better or worse. The latest episode of Generation Gap tasked the hosts with finding two cult classic vehicles to choose between; they came come up with two of these quirky products from The General.
On the classic side, there's a 1967 Chevy Corvair Monza convertible. Being from later in the production run, it wears slightly more aerodynamic styling than the earlier, boxier examples. Hanging out back is an air-cooled, 2.7-liter flat-six pumping out a robust 95 horsepower. In the other corner is the somewhat more modern 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a mid-mounted, 2.5-liter "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, an engine nearly ubiquitous in GM cars of the '80s.
Judging by when they were new, the Corvair was far more successful than the Fiero with over 1.8 million sold. Of course, Ralph Nader's book Unsafe at Any Speed kind of poisoned the well, even if the poor safety reputation wasn't entirely deserved. The Fiero on the other hand only lasted for a few model years before shuffling off, but it eventually got its own performance boost with the V6 version and rather attractive GT models. Check them both out in the video and tell us in Comments which you want in your garage.
