The headliner is missing, and there is a large rip in the driver seat along with a crack in the dash. The paints starting to fade on the roof, hood, and slightly on the bumpers, but nothing a good wax couldn't make look new. Power windows work but are very slow/weak. Wheel sensor is missing on one side."
1997 Grand Prix GTP coupe. This car is an excellent driver, she drives straight as an arrow, tons of low end torque due to the supercharger. This is a fast car. Engine is all factory besides the air filter. Trans shifts fine, brakes are good, steering is good, The radio works fine, The Heads Up Display works good and is fully functional. Enigne runs good, you will fall in love with how powerful this car is, and the best part is it gets 19mpg city and 28 highway. Really good on gas. Cruise control works. Has power locks and working key fob/remote. Only 117500 miles. This was my daily driver for over 2 years, car never gave me any problems and starts like a champ every time. this is the famous 3800 series 2 supercharged l67 that won wards top engines for its year. Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
Burt Reynolds Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am sells for $450k
Mon, Dec 15 2014Apparently, there's still a lot of love out there for by Burt Reynolds and his famous role in Smokey and the Bandit – or at least for his car. As you might remember, Autoblog reported on the auction of the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am a few week ago. At the time, the movie star's car was already well past its $80,000 top estimate, and bidding only shot up from there for a final price of $450,000. That seems like a lot of money for a Trans Am that never actually appears in Smokey and the Bandit. According to the listing, the car was used to promote the film and was given to Reynolds afterward with his name on the title as proof of ownership. The Trans Am looks practically identical to the one in the movie with black paint, the gold firebird on the hood and Bandit name on the driver's door. This one packs a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor under the hood, an automatic transmission and a plaque inside the door that proclaims "1977 Pontiac Trans Am Owned By Burt Reynolds." The wedding stagecoach based on an International Harvester Scout we mentioned in the earlier story also beat its top estimate of $20,000.
