2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, low miles, clean carfax, extremely clean!!!

Up for "NO RESERVE" auction is my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP equipped with the powerful 5.3 V8 motor! I am the second owner of this extremely clean and well kept vehicle, and I am confident that this is the cleanest, most complete Grand Prix GXP on Ebay!! The pictures will speak for themselves, but onto the details, and I will be as honest and descriptive as possible so you can get a good idea of what your bidding on.

If your not to familiar with these vehicles, let me fill you in. This is the first Grand Prix to have a V8 stuffed into it since the early 80s, and has plenty of power on tap. 303hp, 320lb ft of torque provides you with enough power to make your drive exciting, but still economical and great on gas. This is a front wheel drive vehicle, so winter driving is easy, and it is equipped with a 4-speed paddle shift automatic transmission for your enjoyment! General Motors used Bilstein struts all the way around, cross drilled rotors for increased stopping performance, 18" Alcoa Forged aluminum wheels, Bridgestone Potenza tires, and of course the V8 motor, all of these options are a recipe for an awesome vehicle! The visual appearance was also enhanced with a more aggressive front bumper, rear spoiler, front fender honey comb vents, and polished quad tip tail pipes. The interior is equipped with sport bucket seats wrapped in leather and center suede inserts for comfort, leather wrapped steering wheel with paddle shift and radio controls attached, and easy to use touchscreen navigation. Im sure im leaving something out but again, the pictures will show you everything.

I purchased the vehicle about 3yrs ago from a very reputable dealership here in Cleveland with 32k miles on it, so it was a lightly used vehicle. The carfax stated 1 owner before me and no accidents, so I am the 2nd owner and still no accidents or paint repairs, ALL ORIGINAL PAINT! The vehicle as it sits now has only 82,800 miles on it, but will continue to rise as it is my only vehicle. Of course, it has your typical front bumper chips from the highway but you have to really put your face to the bumper to see them, so very light debris marks. The paint or body shows beautifully with exceptional reflections and shine, you would think the car has 5,000 miles, I would rate the paint 9 of 10! The only visable scratches are on one of the rims, it was there when i purchased the vehicle and I tried having the dealer fix/replace it, but you know how that goes. Other than that I would say the outside is in excellent condition for a daily driver. All of the door jambs, trunk jambs, gas cap area, inside of wheels, wheels wells, and under hood are cleaned and maintained on every wash, so it looks like its stored for the winter with no grease and nasty salt showing at all! All of the glass is in great shape with no chips, or cracks, and no aftermarket window tint. I would say that pretty much covers the exterior, onto the interior.

The interior is in excellent shape as well with only the normal driver seat bolster wear showing. It is a very light wear with no tears or rips, just minor surface wear from entering and exiting the vehicle. There are absolutely no stains on any of the seats or suede as I keep up on them regularly, and I keep the leather conditioned, not oily, just conditioned/protected. The carpets are near perfect with absolutely no stains, tears, and close to no visual wear. The driver side has very light wear but again, looks like a 5,000 mile car inside! Carpets are shampooed and hot water extracted every so often, so they are in great to excellent shape! Dashboard is in excellent shape with no tears or sun fading, and no greasy dressing, just wiped regularly to preserve the "like new look". Navigation screen is perfect, no scratches, and works as it should, no issues. Sunroof works perfect with no leaks, no issues there as well. Everything inside works as it should, cleaner than possibly expected, no disappointments at all! I have a baby seat in the back and the only way you could tell is because at the time of the pictures I removed the seat a few minutes prior, so you can see the indentation where it was strapped in. They are not permanent, there just wasnt enough time between me taking the seat out and the pictures being taken, for the indentations to swell back out. Again the interior is in perfect shape, and you would not suspect the back seats were even used! I think thats it for the interior, onto the engine bay......

Not much to say here about the engine, all stock, no modifications, super clean. Looks like I store the car for the winter! Engine oil changed on the regular with Mobil 1 synthetic, with no oil leaks!!! I just had the oil changed, coolant flushed, transmission completely flushed with new seals, the receipts are in the picture with the trunk open. Again, no slimy dressings applied on the plastics, just lightly rinsed and maintained on the regular to keep dirt and grime away, preventative maintenance!

I have all of the factory supplied books in the glove box which include the following: vehicle manuals, navigation dvd/manual, satellite radio book, seat belt restraint how to brochure, air bag tag is still attached to the dash door (see pic), every piece of literature that came with the car in 07' is still here which is rare! I have the second set of keys/fob as well and I will make sure they both have a new battery. In the picture of inside the trunk you will see all of the books, the carfax report I had pulled last month, the receipts for the fluid changes, and also receipts for the new struts all the way around!

List of recently replaced items:

Battery--2yrs ago
Struts----3 months ago
Winter tires--this season

Vehicle is completely stock and has not been altered in anyway. I own a high end auto detailing shop, so this vehicle is pampered on the regular!! This vehicle will not disappoint, the pictures will let you know that. You have to keep in mind that it is hard to find one of these cars with these options, 2 owners, no accidents, and stock!
This is also a rare color combination as well, and you will see that if you look at the others on ebay.

I feel I have covered everything, and have been completely thorough about the condition of the vehicle to its entirety. If they are any questions please feel free to contact me at 440)476-9282, my name is Shawn and I will be happy to speak with you! Thank you for looking and happy bidding!

*This vehicle is advertised locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, and the vehicle is sold as is with no warranty! $500 deposit is required!
* The Loan was just paid off about a week ago and we will have the title in 2-3 weeks or sooner.
Thank you!!

Junkyard Gem: 1980 Pontiac Phoenix LJ Hatchback

Sun, Jan 22 2023

The car-building world was rushing headlong into front-wheel-drive by the late 1970s, eager to reap the weight-saving and space-enhancing benefits of front-drive designs. General Motors designed an innovative FWD platform to replace the embarrassingly outdated Chevrolet Nova and its siblings, and that ended up being the Chevrolet Citation. The other US-market GM car divisions (except Cadillac) got a piece of the X-Body action, and the Pontiac version was called the Phoenix. Here's one of those first-year Phoenixes, not doing a very good job of rising from its snow-covered ashes in a Colorado self-service yard. Pontiac had used the Phoenix name on a luxed-up iteration of Pontiac's version of the Chevy Nova during the 1977-1979 model years, and so it made sense to apply that name to the Pontiac-ized Citation. Phoenix production continued through the 1984 model year (the Citation managed to hang on through 1985). Just to confuse everyone, the Nova name was revived in 1985, on a NUMMI-built Toyota Corolla. The LJ trim level was the nicest one for the 1980 Phoenix, and it included lots of trim upgrades and convenience features. However, even Phoenix LJ buyers had to pay extra for a three-speed automatic transmission instead of the base four-on-the-floor manual ($337, or about $1,291 in 2022 dollars). If you wanted air conditioning, that was another $564 and you had to get the $164 power steering and the $76 power brakes with it (total cost in 2022 dollars: $3,080). Affordable cars weren't so affordable back then, not once you started adding basic options. Both generations of the Phoenix had grilles influenced by those of the Pontiacs of earlier years. The base engine was the chugging 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, but a 2.8-liter V6 was optional. This car has the V6, rated at 115 horsepower rather than the Duke's miserable 90 horses. The price tag: 225 bucks, or 862 inflation-adjusted 2022 bucks. The Phoenix was available just as a two-door coupe and five-door hatchback. The MSRP on this car would have started at $6,127, or around $23,469 now. That would have been a pretty good deal even after paying for the options, with the Phoenix's excellent mix of good interior space and solid fuel economy… but the Citation and its kin (the Oldsmobile Omega and Buick Skylark as well as the Phoenix) suffered from seemingly endless, highly publicized recalls and quality problems.

Junkyard Gem: 2008 Pontiac G5 Coupe

Sun, Apr 9 2023

In the grim early days of the Great Recession, the situation at GM's Pontiac Division didn't feel so great but there was some cause for optimism. The Solstice still had a certain glow, the Holden Commodore-based G8 had just arrived, and vehicle shoppers could stride into their local Pontiac showrooms and choose from eight different models bearing the iconic arrowhead badge. Yes, there were still new Torrents and Grand Prix and Vibes for sale in 2008, and of course the Cavalier-twin Sunfire had been replaced by the Cobalt-twin G5 by that time. Here's one of those G5s, found in a Colorado Springs car graveyard. It wasn't long after this car was built that everything went to hell for Pontiac. In April of 2009, GM announced that the Pontiac Division would be "phased out" over the next few years. Just to drive home the point, GM itself filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy five weeks later. GM had already offed Oldsmobile—a marque dating back to 1897, making it nearly 30 years Pontiac's senior—five years earlier, so everybody knew there would be no reprieve in this case. Just to confuse everybody, Pontiac dealers offered a G3-badged Chevy Aveo (aka Daewoo Kalos) to sell alongside the G5 for 2009, but by 2010 there were just two new Pontiac models still standing in the United States: the G6 and the Vibe. Just over 70,000 G5s were sold in the United States during the 2007-2009 model years, making these cars fairly rare. The Cobalt/G5 ignition-switch fiasco of the mid-2010s really hammered their resale value at the time. Sometimes the definition of "Gem" refers to historical value, not the happier kind. Speaking of ignition switches, the key is still in this one. That generally means that a junkyard vehicle is a dealership trade-in or insurance total that couldn't sell at auction. This one is a base model, which listed at $15,675 (about $22,040 in 2023 dollars). The snazzier G5 GT started at $19,850 ($27,911 now) that year. The engine in this car is a 2.2-liter Ecotec four-banger rated at 148 horsepower and 152 pound-feet (the GT got a 2.4 with 171 hp/167 lb-ft). A five-speed manual was standard equipment, but the buyer of this car paid extra for the automatic. GM stuck these little "Mark of Excellence" badges on the fenders of its vehicles starting in 2005, then ditched the idea in 2009. I have vivid memories of this logo from the seatbelt buttons in my parents' 1973 Sportvan Beauville.

Junkyard Gem: 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT

Fri, Jun 26 2020

The New United Motor Manufacturing plant in Fremont, California, built Toyota-derived machinery — badged as Toyotas, Chevrolets, Geos, and Pontiacs— from 1984 through 2010, and some of the very last vehicles that left the assembly line were Pontiac Vibes. The Vibe, sibling to the Toyota Matrix, mostly served as a ho-hum transportation appliance and/or fleet car, but a factory-hot-rod GT version could be purchased. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those rare GTs, complete with the nearly unheard-of six-speed manual transmission, found in a self-service yard in northeastern Colorado. The regular Vibe had 123 or 130 horsepower, depending on the number of driven wheels, but the Vibe GT got the same 1.8-liter 2ZZ engine that went into the Celica GT-S. 180 horsepower, which was enough to make the 2,800-pound Vibe GT keep up with the 3,108-pound/215-horse Chrysler PT Cruiser Turbo that year. Sadly, no race series pitting Vibe GTs against PT Cruiser Turbos and Chevy HHR SSs on road courses ever materializedÂ… but it's not too late. The Vibe GT has something you couldn't get in a PT Cruiser or Chevy HHR, though: a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment. In fact, the six-speed was the only transmission offered in the early Vibe GTs (an automatic became an option later on). You'll find plenty of three-pedal econoboxes from this era, because they were significantly cheaper than their slushbox-equipped counterparts, but the Vibe GT had plenty of competition from sportier-looking cars with manual transmissions in 2004. Not many were sold. This car is covered with nasty dents from golf-ball-sized hail (all too common in High Plains Colorado), so it may have been an insurance total that nobody wanted at auction. Sold in Wyoming, will be crushed in an adjacent state. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Fuel for the soul. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Toyota had right-hand-drive Matrixes brought over to Japan from Canada, but a NUMMI-built version of the Vibe could be purchased there for a few years as well. This was the Voltz, and its advertising seems notably frantic even by the standards of Japanese car commercials.
