Up for sale is my parents very nice 2001 Pontiac firebird.  I had just replaced the fuel pump on the car not with a cheap aftermarket pump but a replacement Delphi pump. In the last 6 thousand miles I did a tune up replaced the spark plugs and wires. The car doesn’t get driven much as you can tell by the low millage. The car isn’t driven in the winter. The oil is always changed with synthetic oil between 3000-3500 miles. The vehicle is solid the under carriage is clean. the vehicle has spent its early years in Florida and once it made it way Ohio it was used during nice weather to cruise around in. The Car is very dependable has not let them down. The firebird is optioned very nicely I love the T-Tops. The car looks great for its age the rear bumper has a scrape on it  and few scratches here and there but paint still has a nice shine. There are two things that I would like to point out, the air dam is broken it’s only a 58 dollars on eBay haven’t had a chance to order a replacement for it.   The other thing is the lid for the center console is broken just needs a lid. Those are the issue that I could find. The car starts every time drives and stops great. The suspension is very tight no rattles or clunks. The car is untouched expect the aftermarket radio. The Pontiac has No performance upgrades car has not been hacked up. it is getting harder and harder to find these cars in original shape. The Pontiac is sold as with no warranty being expressed or implied.
Happy bidding.

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem

Thu, Feb 13 2014

General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
