Good running car. New stock carb, new radiator, new brake pads. Daily driver. California car.

I have had the car for two years, and it is running the best it has since then. Always gets compliments. Could be great for smaller investment.

Cosmetic issues: cracked dash (I have dash cover), oxidized clear coat making sections of the paint dull; cracked and chipped paint on the bumper; seats beat up and split (I have ordered nice seat covers, which I can either install myself or toss in); missing a few chrome pieces (easily replaceable and available on eBay).

Only problems mechanically are leaks: it leaks a little oil, but not in a way that worries me for a 36 year old car. Leaks coolant, I believe from one of the hose connectors: I had the radiator replaced and I believe one of the hoses isn't quite snug. As a result, when driving in 100 degree heat a few weeks ago, it overheated. But started right back up with a bit of time to cool off.

Original radio with tape deck works, and I'll throw in a copy of Night Moves on cassette. Also have a tow hitch for it that I removed. Shop manuals included.

Odometer reads 49,000: I assume it has turned over.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years
