This one very nice 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT V6. This car was clearly well taken care of through the years and has been refreshed to ensure it is safe and reliable as follows:

Painted in 2013 Base coat clear coat to original color Bright Blue Metallic and lower Medium Gray as it came from the factory

New Battery, New Headliner, New factory replacement speakers, speaker grille covers, new sunroof gaskets, new air filter, plugs, oil, transmission filter, transmission fluid, new sail panels, refurbished wheels (outer lip), new shocks and struts, new front and rear brakes and turned rotors, new tires and 4 wheel alignment. It is very clear if you know what parts cost and the labor to go with those parts above that several thousand dollars were spent making this car dependable, safe and reliable for the next owner. You owe it to your self to come see and test drive this car, or send an agent to inspect, i will be glad to show them every aspect of the car and the bills to go along with all the maintenance that was done on this car. Just remember, as you look at other cars for sale, if they don't mention replacement of key components and parts, it most likely wasnt replaced. Do you want to drive a car with 25 year old parts on major components or a car that had many integral component parts replaced in 2013?

In 1987, there were two colors that had lower production numbers than all others, and this car came with one of the lowest production colors from the factory in its bright blue and gray metallic two tone paint. There were only 4,458 cars made in this color in 1987. I have the GM documents that breaks down all the options that were ordered for this car and there are several and they are as follows:  power door locks, carpet floor mats, rear defogger, AC (works), Sport mirrors, rear deck spoiler, cruise control (works), automatic transmission (works). Everything on this car works, all electronic gauges, fans, headlight buckets, turn signals, AC, radio, and all power options...The car even has its original spare, jack, and sunroof bag under the front bonnet in case you want to remove the sunroof and place in the bag to keep from getting scratched up.

I have a copy of the original window sticker which the total price in 1987 was $16,293.00, build sheet, GM documents showing the breakdown of all components and vaildating its authenticity.i have the owners manual and a book written on the Fiero car that also goes along with the sell of the vehicle. You can bid with confidence that this vehicle is a good safe car for a weekend cruise car, a high school students car, college car, or a daily driver for an adult. I am 6'3" tall and i can get in the car surprisingly with legroom to spare.

The vehicle is located in Greensboro NC and i am available to show the car as needed to interested parties. I am not a dealer, i collect and restore old cars i like as a hobby. I pride myself in being honest and try to describe the cars the way I would want someone to describe them to me so that time is not wasted on either side seller or buyer. i have a fair reserve on the car. So bid with confidence that this is a nice well maintained and updated Fiero that will give you many years of good use..

Thanks for looking at this nice Fiero.

Junkyard Gem: 1991 Pontiac 6000 LE

Sat, Dec 2 2017

Sibling to the Chevrolet Celebrity and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, the Pontiac 6000 sold pretty well during the early-to-middle 1980s, but had been relegated to the dealership bargain bin and fleet-car cul-de-sac by the time of Operation Desert Shield. Here's a final-year-of-manufacture 6000 LE that I photographed in an Arizona self-service wrecking yard. This car was sold new in Arizona, and it will be crushed in the same state, 26 years later. The LE was the cheapest trim level for the 6000 in 1991, but the original purchaser of this car sprang for a few options. For example, instead of the utterly miserable 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, this car packs the 3.1-liter V6. That meant 140 horsepower instead of 110, plus an engine note more like a vacuum cleaner sucking up a spaghetti spill than an ailing blender chewing on walnuts. AM, FM, and cassette. Not only that, but the auto-reverse feature meant that your mixtape cassette wouldn't stop right in the middle of your favorite Roxette tune. This content is hosted by a third party. Even the wretched Daewoo-built Pontiac LeMans gets more screen time than the forgotten 6000 in this 1991 TV ad featuring the voice of Captain Picard. GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Pontiac Sunbird SE Coupe

Sat, Jun 11 2022

General Motors built the fantastically successful J-Body cars starting at the dawn of the 1980s and continuing well into our current century, on five continents. The Pontiac Division's version of the J started out being called the J2000 and the 2000, then got the Sunbird name originally used on the Pontiac-ized Chevy Monza starting in 1983. Here's a once-slick-looking 1989 Sunbird SE Coupe, found at a Minneapolis-area boneyard way back in 2016. The best-known of all the J-Body cars, here, was the Chevrolet Cavalier, but Pontiac far outdid even the most blinged-up Cavalier Z24 when it came to elaborate taillights. Because this is Minnesota, the car is a patchwork of various layers of junkyard-obtained rusty body parts. One fender has TURBO badges from a Sunbird GT. The other side has the correct engine badges for this model. That engine is a 2.0-liter, single-overhead-cam straight-four from an engine family originally developed for the Opel Kadett D. This one was rated at 96 horsepower when new. This one has the automatic transmission, so it wouldn't have been very much fun to drive. Check out that cool parking brake handle, though! And, hey, is that a full can of Colorado Cool-Aid in the foot well? You'd think a proper Minnesota Pontiac would at least be full of Grain Belt cans. It appears that Higley Ford in Windom, Minn., had this car on the lot at some point. Windom is closer to Sioux Falls than to Minneapolis. This final mileage total looks good for a car living in Tinworm Country. Pontiac built this generation of Sunbird from the 1988 through 1994 model years, though it was really just a facelift of the first-generation cars. Starting in 1995, the Pontiac J-Body became the Sunfire, and production continued until the J platform itself got the axe in 2005. This content is hosted by a third party.
