Car is in top shape - no rust under at all. Motor has been rebuilt ( yes Paperwork ) to a 3.2 - balanced as well. Oil change every 2500 and has only used - since rebuild - Mobil 1 full syn. This car has never seen snow or hardly any rain. Don't get me wrong I drive it every chance I get - I would not hesitate to drive any where in the US - in fact I could even drive (deliver) to where-ever the new owner is - Delivery is totally up to the buyer - the cost or method is not included. I have never used the A/C so does it work? - I have never cared as it is a convertible after all. Car has been seen on the Woodward Dream Cruise and defiantly turns heads. Stereo is factory not THE original but looks new and sounds great.  I did have to replace the converter with a test pipe, to well, test the engine of course. I replaced the starter this spring as it was acting funny. The battery has been moved to the front on the passenger side in front of the wheel. Brakes are all like new. Tires have great tread.

The top does work - isn't the prettiest but is functional - ya it needs replaced - boat top maker here told me 350.00 to make new top. So either it can be replaced before delivery or you can have it done after or just drive it in the sun always like I do - your choice. Last summer I had removed the top completely so it never seen rain in 2012. The seats are comfortable foam is in great shape - some critter ate the coverings only. I have access to good seats with speakers but as I am a smoker I have not bothered to change - can either include seats or change them if requested - I figured why risk hurting some really nice seats, told myself when I quit I will change them. Both headlights have been upgraded to metal gears so they should not fail. I am sure I am forgetting something..... Slave cylinder was changed in spring 2012. New Deka battery in summer 2012 New rear brake lines (all) early spring 2013. and emergency brake does not work neither does the passenger side power mirror. I am the only driver so I have never needed to move it. Air intake area has been modified (see pics) and both sides are the same look to keep the car looking balanced. Wood trim is not real wood but was made for Fiero's.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I do have the ability to show the car live on the web. So if there is something specific you would like to see send me a message, I will be glad to set up a time and give you the address so you can see and hear for yourself or Skype if you are already member.

There is no warranty expressed or implied, blah blah blah.....

I reserve the right to end the auction if agreed upon price is met locally or distant with personal delivery option.

Payment - Non-refundable deposit of $1000.00 (us) within 24 hours of auction end full payment within 7 days or deposit forfeited.

If reserve is not met WE will look at the closest bid carefully.

I am selling to keep the piece - the car is worth more to me than I could ever hope to get - but to the wife it is -- well for sale.........  And we all know a happy Wife is a Happy Life.

Baseball team to dress like Trans Am, complete with screaming chicken

Fri, Feb 8 2019

Come to think of it, the Screaming Chicken actually sounds like the name of a minor league baseball team. Well, it isn't, but the famous logo of the same name that graced the hood of the 1970s Pontiac Trans Am will at least be making it to a baseball uniform this summer. The Lansing Lugnuts, a Single-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will be rocking these special uniforms to honor the late Burt Reynolds and his film Smokey and the Bandit. By default, it will also be honoring the car the movie made famous: the 1977 Trans Am painted black with gold trim and, of course, the screaming chicken on the hood. This is a pretty good history of the emblem. So why the Lugnuts and Burt Reynolds? Although he claimed to be born in Georgia for much of his career, he admitted in a 2015 autobiography that he was in fact born in Lansing, Mich. After a few years, his family settled in Florida. Not exactly hometown hero stuff, but minor league baseball promotions have been made of more tenuous connections. The Burt Reynolds tribute night will be July 20, and if you want to get a screaming chicken jersey for yourself (I mean, wouldn't they be perfect for a cars and coffee?), the game-used jerseys will be auctioned off for charity after the game.

Porsche Syberia RS rally car is what you make when you need a Hummer that's fast

Fri, Apr 24 2020

Some history: The Porsche 911's first-ever race was the 1965 Monte Carlo rally, entered because Porsche's PR man at the time wanted to show how much the future icon could do. A year later, Porsche began selling an optional rally kit for the 911 that included Recaro seats, a roll bar, and adjustable Koni dampers. Porsche produced factory rally racers until the early 1970s, winning Monte Carlo three times in a row before letting privateers carry the torch so the factory could focus on campaigning in the East Africa Safari. After years of painful lessons, when Porsche took its brand-new 1978 911 SC to the safari, the 3.0-liter flat-six coupe was hours away from winning the race before damaging the suspension, demoting the car to second place. Porsche fans wanted their own replicas, and finding the new 911 to be an affordable option, the SC — built from 1978 to 1983 — went from denoting "Super Carrera" to "Safari Car."   Porsche took a big step up in with the 953 rally car. Built to win the 1984 Paris-Dakar, which it did, the 953 introduced the four-wheel-drive system Porsche would evolve for the 959 in 1985 and the 964-series 911 in 1989, as well as the now-unforgettable 911-based Rothmans livery. All of this is what's fueling today's 911 Safari Car revival around the world. Almost all of today's builds start with the so-called G Model 911s, produced from 1973 to 1989, usually focusing on the SC and the Carrera that ran from 1984 until 1989.  Fast forward to 2007 when a mysterious crew organized the TransSyberia Rally, a "sports-touring" event that stretched 4,500 miles from Moscow to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar. Of the 34 vehicles that entered, 25 were Porsche's purpose-built Cayenne S Transsyberia Edition.  Put this all in a pot and you have the beginnings of the car that brings us here, the Syberia RS. It's said that a German fellow by the name of Kai Burkhard wanted to buy a Humvee, but the low top speed, around 50 miles per hour, put him off. So instead, he imported a 1986 911 "in collector condition" from Japan with the idea of rebuilding it to provide almost all the off-road fun he could have had in the H1. Burkhard tapped the Tailor Made department at German suspension designer H&R, and the two set to work creating a build like the 953 Dakar winner.  This content is hosted by a third party. Distracted driver crosses center line and hits police car

Wed, Apr 6 2016

Attentive driving and quick reflexes saved the life of a police officer in Hudson, WI, when an oncoming driver drifted into the officer's lane and struck his cruiser. According to KMSP, the officer was patrolling along a busy road through Hudson on March 31 when the crash occurred. Dash cam video from the patrol car which was released to local media shows the dramatic collision unfold. As the officer came around a mild left-hand curve, a white, 90s-era Pontiac Grand Am continued straight through the curve, across the center line, and directly into the officer's path. The officer was able to avoid a head-on collision, but the Pontiac still struck the driver's side of the patrol car. "Both the officer and the other driver are ok, however, this accident could have been much, much worse," said a Hudson Police Department official on the department's Facebook page. "So please remember to pay attention to your driving at all times when behind the wheel." Minnesota's Department of Public Safety estimates that one in every four crashes in the State of Minnesota are caused by distracted drivers. DPS believes that the actual number may be higher, but police often have difficulty proving distracted driving as the cause of a crash. Government/Legal Pontiac Driving Safety Coupe Police/Emergency
