2008 Pontiac Solstice Base Convertible 2-door 2.4l Only 17k on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
This Vehicle is in MINT Condition and has been stored in a garage for the past 4 years, only driven about 700 miles in the past year. This vehicle is a second owner, and from what I was told the first owner was older, had it in a garage for the past 4 years, covered and they bought it from an auction right out of the garage.
Even though this vehicle has not been driven much given the mileage, it has been serviced regularly. By the pictures you can tell that the tires still are about brand new, and I would estimate the tread to still be about 95% left. I was told that upon purchasing it, the tires were swapped out...so new tires were put on before I bought it about a year and a half ago. There is not any mechanical issues with this vehicle, as it has been to the shop for an oil change and even the guys get under the hood and ask how I got such a beauty. I hate to give up this vehicle, however family obligations, future business plans have gotten in the way. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING; THIS VEHICLE IS FINANCED THROUGH ALLY BANK. THERE WILL NEED TO BE A PAYOFF SUBMITTED TO THEM BEFORE THEY RELEASE THE TITLE, AND ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT IMMEDIATE IT WILL TAKE A FEW DAYS TO A WEEK TO GET TITLED TRANSFERRED. UPON BIDDING, YOU UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS. IF NOT, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE. THIS VEHICLE HAS ALSO BEEN INCLUDED IN A RECALL WITH GM, IT HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED YET. UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I WILL TAKE IT DOWN AND GET IT REPAIRED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RECALL GUIDELINES. UPON WINNING BID, THERE IS A $500.00 DEPOSIT THAT WILL BE DUE VIA PAYPAL. I WILL ASK THAT YOU COME PICK UP THE VEHICLE IN PERSON, AND THEN YOU CAN ARRANGE TO MEET THE SHIPPER'S HERE IN PERSON, OR DRIVE IT BACK YOURSELF OR HOWEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO HANDLE IT. IT IS LOCATED HERE IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. THIS IS NOT A HARD PLACE TO GET TO, AND I'M SURE YOU DON'T HAVE TO TWIST ANYONE'S ARM TO GET OUT THERE. UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I WILL TAKE IT TO A DETAIL SHOP AND GET IT WASHED FOR YOU. PLEASE SEE PICTURES, THEY WERE JUST TAKEN A FEW HOURS AGO HERE IN LAS VEGAS. THIS IS THE CAR YOU ARE GETTING. MINT CONDITION ACCEPT FOR WHERE NOTED. THIS IS A VERY SWEET RIDE, GREAT FOR YOU, BAD FOR ME. HAPPY BIDDING. EITHER TEXT ME AT 805-260-2255 OR E-MAIL THEVEGASTEAM@GMAIL.COM FOR ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. VEHICLE IS ALSO LISTED HERE LOCALLY, AND AUCTION MAY END AT ANY TIME AT THE SELLERS DISCRETION. |

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
This 93-car Iowa auction is like a Big 3 classic muscle museum
Tue, Aug 27 2019Bill "Coyote" Johnson has been buying cars since high school and has amassed a collection totaling 113 vehicles, according to NBC 6 News. But time has changed his motivations and priorities, and he's decided to auction 93 of those cars, many of which are classic muscle from Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth and Pontiac. The megasale will take place Sept. 14, 2019, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner infected Coyote with a love for Detroit muscle when he was just a teenager, and his desire quickly turned into an obsession. He's spent the past 40 years finding, buying and working on a variety of makes and models. Unlike some collectors, Coyote didn't discriminate against certain brands and has rides from each of the Big 3 automakers. Included in the auction are Camaros, Satellites, Super Bees, Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, Coronets, GTOs, Mustangs, Cutlasses and others. Possibly the most intriguing aspect of the auction is that all of these cars will be sold as-is with no reserve. Many of them will need work, depending on quality standards, but this seems like a golden opportunity to find a classic car without leaving a bank account in shambles. The auctions are open for bidding online now, and the full auction will take place on September 14. Check out the full listings and bid at VanDerBrink Auctions.
This 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 pace car could be yours
Fri, Jan 29 2021Hopefully, the fans of GM's W-body '80s/'90s intermediates can forgive us, but we had pretty much forgotten — or had never really known — that one of the ways that era's Pontiac Grand Prix bathed itself in glory was by serving as the pace car for the Daytona 500. In fact, the Grand Prix paced NASCAR's marquee race every year from 1988 to 1992, and again in 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2003. That first year, 1988, the Grand Prix was all-new, making its debut on the W-body platform. It was also Motor Trend's car of the year. The 1988 Daytona 500 marked the 17th year in a row that a Pontiac was chosen to set the pace but the first time a front-wheel-drive car was so honored. The '88 Grand Prix followed a spate of Pontiac Trans Ams. This '88 Grand Prix, for sale right now on eBay Motors, is presented as an actual pace car, although fans could order a complete set of pace car decals for their very own GP. The pace car is based on that year's top-spec Grand Prix, the SE. In place of the standard car's 2.8-liter V6, however, the pace car uses a modified 3.1-liter V6, which is hooked to a five-speed manual transmission. This Grand Prix is otherwise largely standard fare excepting the roof-mounted light bar, the switches for which are located next to the radio. The mechanical odometer tucked into the digital instrument cluster shows just over 5,000 miles, and presumably, not all of them were acquired on the high-banked oval. With four days to go in the auction, bidding sits at $4,000 with the reserve unmet. Although the reserve is unknown, one clue is that this Grand Prix had been listed by a classic-car dealership in Pennsylvania for $18,500. Besides the debut of the W-body Grand Prix pace car, the 1988 race is also notable for its final lap: Bobby Allison held off his son, Davey Allison, to take the checkered flag, with the father-son duo enjoying a 1-2 finish. Now, who wants to re-live those Grand Prix glory days? Get on your Pontiac and ride!  This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
