We have decided to part ways with our 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport
Convertible. It has had a lot
of work done to it so far but will obviously need to be finished. This
car runs and drives. The engine is a 350 bored .30 over and does not
even have 1 mile on it. It is a fresh 350 block stamped 1970. The build sheet is included. The
automatic transmission shifts nicely and has been painted the factory
blue color. The car was sandblasted down to bare metal and primered gray. The body and frame of this car are solid. Our
garage is full of parts that come with the car. We will not separate or
sell any part individually. You take everything included in the pictures
and a lot more! There was thousands of dollars spent in parts alone.
There are boxes and boxes labeled full of manuals and good parts that
were collected over the years. There are chrome
trims,headlights,bumpers,bezels,decals,emblems,interior
pieces, weatherstripping, extra convertible top frame etc. We have every part to put this car back together and then
some.
Here is just a small list of the new parts the car has: Fresh 350 motor bored.30 over, chrome front bumper, hood,Trunk lid, complete brake job including rotors, drums, wheel cylinders and calipers, master cylinder, convertible top motor, brake lines, fuel line, and fuel tank. The list goes on. Please feel free to ask any questions as they will be answered to the best of our knowledge. We have tons of pictures of the car and engine with the valve covers and oil pan off to show that it is a brand new build. We also have a video of the car idling nicely with newer stainless steel exhaust with flowmaster dual chamber mufflers(Sounds badass). THESE CARS ARE GETTING VERY RARE SO HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN ONE WITH A TON OF EXTRAS INCLUDED. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR TIRE KICKERS OR LOW BALLERS AS WE ARE NOT DESPERATE TO SELL THE CAR. THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING. |

Online Find: 1970 Pontiac Firebird Concept, cousin of the Weinermobile
Thu, Mar 26 2015So there's this for sale over at Hemmings: the 1970 Pontiac Firebird One concept designed by Harry Bentley Bradley and built by Dave Crook. For sale at the time of writing in Bellevue, Washington for $94,950, most of the seller's description appears to be pulled from a 2001 Barrett-Jackson listing, when the car was sold at auction for $61,600. Before we get to the car, it helps to know the man behind it: Bradley was a designer at General Motors from 1962 to 1966 who, against company policy, continued to submit designs to Hot Rod magazine under an assumed name. Mattel poached him in 1966 to design its brand new toy line called Hot Wheels, and Bradley designed all of them except one. He only stayed at Mattel for a year because he didn't think Hot Wheels would be successful, then left to start his own design company. Among other works, he penned the most recent example of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Now can you see the Firebird One's design language? Since it apparently has a letter of documentation from GM design staff, we'll assume that GM asked the then-freelancing Bradley to work some magic on its muscle car, this being the totally Hot-Wheels influenced result. There are 17,456 miles on its 255-horsepower, 350 cubic-inch V8. The interior has tan leather, custom bucket seats, a wood grain dash, and one of the most awkward spare tire placements ever. The seller assures all prospective buyers that it is, like the Death Star, "fully operational."
Junkyard Gem: 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition
Tue, Aug 29 2017The W Platform proved to be extremely long-lived and versatile for General Motors, remaining in production from 1988 all the way through 2016. You had your Impalas and your Regals and your Cutlass Supremes, and of course the 1988-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was a W-body. For the 2000 model year, Pontiac made the racy-looking Daytona 500 Edition Grand Prix, an example of which I just found in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. 2,000 of these cars were made, presumably because it was the year 2000, and each one sports plenty of cool-looking Daytona 500 graphics. Perhaps some Regal owner will buy these seats and swap them. This is the second junked Daytona 500 Grand Prix I have seen recently, after this one in Colorado. The Daytona 500 was about the same as the GTP version, with Eaton-supercharged 3800 engine making a respectable 240 horsepower. Disappointingly, this car has an automatic transmission. It never saw 150,000 miles, unlike most 21st-century W-bodies I see in wrecking yards. Featured Gallery Junked 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition View 21 Photos Auto News Pontiac Sedan
Distracted driver crosses center line and hits police car
Wed, Apr 6 2016Attentive driving and quick reflexes saved the life of a police officer in Hudson, WI, when an oncoming driver drifted into the officer's lane and struck his cruiser. According to KMSP, the officer was patrolling along a busy road through Hudson on March 31 when the crash occurred. Dash cam video from the patrol car which was released to local media shows the dramatic collision unfold. As the officer came around a mild left-hand curve, a white, 90s-era Pontiac Grand Am continued straight through the curve, across the center line, and directly into the officer's path. The officer was able to avoid a head-on collision, but the Pontiac still struck the driver's side of the patrol car. "Both the officer and the other driver are ok, however, this accident could have been much, much worse," said a Hudson Police Department official on the department's Facebook page. "So please remember to pay attention to your driving at all times when behind the wheel." Minnesota's Department of Public Safety estimates that one in every four crashes in the State of Minnesota are caused by distracted drivers. DPS believes that the actual number may be higher, but police often have difficulty proving distracted driving as the cause of a crash.
