No rust on vehicle, motor was not cranked up since 1972 but on 04/06/14 Sunday I started that bad boy up with Zero Problems. Should rebuild carburetor, needs brakes (no brakes sinks to floor), if you have never worked on TRUE muscle cars don't buy this and get yourself a HONDA, if you are experienced in this field then YOU KNOW the potential of this car being an EYE turner once it's on the road. I have original Documentation including Manufacturers Original Production Stamp Plate which was glued to the Owners Manual right after sale to 1st purchaser. seeing is believing and money talks BS walks. This vehicle is priced lower than what it's worth and what i have put into it as well, thank you for reading.  Needs the following as well: Carpet Kit, Front Windshield, Drivers Glass plus Wing (Actually i think i may have that wing window in a box somewhere) I have 98 percent of the Chrome but i do know the Front Passengers Chrome wheel well trim is missing.  Will take photos later of all chrome and do-hickeys i have but take in mind you still need to put some cosmetic as well as mechanics to it: Like Brakes (they go to floor) radiator has been removed and sent to be repaired so thats good. Shoot me a message if you wish with questions and I will try to answer.  Car Sold As-Is Where is, you take care of shipping or anything like that.  Sorry Cash Money Talks, 500dl non refundable deposit through PayPal, the rest in cash.  IMPORTANT READ: No lookie loos, low ballers, don't just call to make ridiculous offers for I know what my car is worth: 909 264-4734 Remember Chrome needs to be installed, as well as seats, ,glass, including traks, etc, etc, etc (if you worked on projects before you know the drill) look at photos.  Door jams have to be repainted and their is 1 slight small run on front hood/fender meet passenger side, and door jams need to be redone, but that is under warranty from Body Shop and they will be more than happy to take care of that for they are extremely reputable, besides I payed a Bundle to get Painted.  1. (Front Inner hood Bezels left and right have been repaired as well) 2. dash board (i cracked it underneath when i removed it but i put together and looks good).  Needs rubber around doors, deck etc, etc. . I have the right to remove listing at anytime for I have it listed locally as well.  Sold As-is where is, due your homework. thanks.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
