This is a very nice 1973 Pontiac Grand Am. This car is a great driver and has been very reliable old car. It has the stock 400 4bbl Pontiac V8 with fully functional shaker from a 74 TA.
Turbo 400 trans shifted by a Hurst Lightning Rod shifters installed in the facory console with all hookups to run just like stock shifter, and a 3.08 rear gear. Has A/C with new compressor just needs charged.
It has sway bars front and back. It has taller springs to raise and level out the car from stock for a more aggressive stance. It is running on Trans Am WS6 15x8 wheels with 275/60 on back and 255/60 on the front.
96 Impala SS steering box for a performance feel and quick ratio steering.
Newer exhaust system from manifolds to back.
Interior is stock except Shifter and stereo. Seats are real nice except small tear on outside of drivers bucket seat and small wear on piping at edge of same seat. Not bad for a 40+ year old interior.
Body has surface rust where rocks chipped paint behind each wheel no rust holes.Floor are nice and original. Has some dents and scratches could use a paint job. Hood and front black primered.
Pass fender has signs of previous repair and dent in the pass door down low.

With nice paint job and detailing under hood this would be a very nice show car. I get complements all the time wherever I drive it.
I also have s New window fuzzies that go with the car.

I have a complete parts car 73 grand am that can be also bought for additional money.
If you have any questions you may call 314-239-6214 Thanks

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
