For sale is my 2004 Pontiac GTO, 5.7 6 Speed transmission.  It is in good running condition with NO mechanical repairs needed.  Engine runs great and has always had great maintenance.  I have owned it since 26,000 miles and it has always had Mobile 1 synthetic ran in it with oil changes every 3000 miles.  The transmission has been serviced and has royal purple in it.  The rear diff has been serviced as well, just last year.  There was nothing wrong with either of these, I just had them serviced to simply take care of my car.   I haven't hot rodded this car like most drivers do.  It also has a K&N lifetime air filter.

My reason for selling the car is because I am pregnant with my first baby and I want a 4 door family car. (I'm so excited).

It has a custom Realistic Fire Paint job done on the hood doors and roof with a skull on the hood.  The fire actually has a lot more life and depth to it, but the pictures flatten the 3D effect.   This car has been awarded Best Of Paint in our local car show.  I had to get the door replaced because a deer hit me (yes it hit me, I did not hit it lol) and the paint doesn't go back onto the passenger door due to that reason, you can see it in the photos.  There is a small dent in the passenger door as shown in the photos.

Visual defects:  The windshield is cracked and needs replaced.  There is a small area in the back seat where the sun has caused the seat threads to split (as shown in photos).  The silver lining stuff on the steering wheel is cracked and peeling a bit but still looks good (as shown in photos).  Front passenger headlight needs to be replaced.  It works just fine, but it does collect water at times due to a small crack in it.  Car has quite a very few small rock chips in the front in the paint.  This happened from daily driving, Wyoming roads are not the cleanest.

Tires were just replaced not too long ago and will not need replacing for quite a while.

Transportation to buyer:  Buyer is responsible for transportation costs, however, I am headed to Scottsdale AZ in the first week of June, I am willing to help transport the car that direction at the buyers expense.

The date stamp in the pictures is wrong (it was set wrong on my camera, obviously the car wasn't even made in 2003).  These pics were taken a couple months ago.

Car mileage will be slightly different than what is listed in the auction as this my daily driver car, but it won't be a drastic difference.

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Steve McQueen barn find: Movie Trans Am surfaces after almost 40 years

Mon, Dec 17 2018

An important Steve McQueen film car has emerged from barn storage. No, it's not yet another " Bullitt" Mustang, quite the contrary: The car in question is a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am, and it starred in McQueen's final film, " The Hunter." In the movie, McQueen plays a bounty hunter, and while in " Bullitt" he's quite the wheelman, that's not the case in this one. McQueen's character, "Papa" Thorson, is a horrible driver, and the Trans Am is far too much car for him. A chase sequence sees McQueen driving a combine harvester to catch the perps who are driving his stolen rental Pontiac, and the Trans Am ends up blown in half with dynamite, then returned to the airport on a trailer. The driver of said GMC truck and trailer combination, Harold McQueen (no relation), received the title of the first car used in filming, and for the following decades planned to fix the now-ruined car, but never got around to it. Instead, the 1,300-mile Pontiac wreck sat on a farm for nearly 40 years, until Harold decided to sell it to an enthusiast. There's studio documentation proving the car's pedigree, and stunt modifications can be seen in the Pontiac's floor and dash. While it's obviously in dreadful condition, the car remained more intact than the other stunt car the film crew blew up even more spectacularly — that car ended up as the pile of parts in the airport scene, and those bits and pieces were eventually dropped off at a junkyard after a Pontiac dealer refused them. McQueen did also drive a 1951 Chevrolet in the film, and kept that yellow convertible after filming was wrapped up. Sadly, he was diagnosed with cancer just a month later, after reportedly being in poor health during the shooting, and passed away in December 1980. The yellow Chevy stayed with his estate for some years, later getting restored and auctioned. Right now, it's not clear what the Trans Am's fate will be. The car's current owner, Calvin Riggs from Carlyle Motors in Katy, Texas, wants to know more about the Trans Am and the film shoot: His post on Hemmings includes a lot of information, but more would be useful.
