1969 GTO Convertible. We have owned this car for 23 years and have always planned to have it restored but never got around to it. Very solid car for the most part. Floor pans are a little thin in spots. Trunk is solid. Most of the body panels can be repaired instead of replaced. Car is original silver metallic with pearl white interior as far as I know. I don't believe it's the original motor, previous owner said it was a 428. Car has been sitting in storage for years in it's current condition. Motor is current not running, missing the drivers side window, radiator, water pump, and power steering pump. Trans is a 400 turbo with a 10-bolt posi rear. Disc brakes, power steering, power top. Car comes with rear spoiler, convertible top rubbers, and other misc. parts shown in the picture. Factory hood tach included. Hide away head lights with original T3 bulbs. This would be a great car to restore. Sold AS IS with no reserve to the highest bidder and PLEASE be able to complete transaction if you bid. BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
