If you're here then you know what kind of vehicle I'm selling.
This is a 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP--the fastest, best handling, most powerful and last car Pontiac ever made. Less than 1900 of these cars were made. I am the original owner of this vehicle and have taken really good care of it since new. Anyone interested in this car will not be disappointed. Everything great you've heard about this car is true and then some. This car, as were most GXPs, is fully loaded. It has the only two options available--a sliding sunroof and an automatic transmission. First the good; the car has been garage-stored in the wintertime for the past five years to avoid the salt and snow in NYC. The car has had regular oil changes since new using only Mobil1 synthetic oil. I've never raced the car nor abused it in anyway. I've never had any mechanical problems with the car. On top of being one of the most unique and fastest 4-door cars on the road, it rides and handles as well as you want it to with a huge trunk to top it all off. I have not modified the car in any way so those looking for a clean canvas have found the right one. Now the not-so-good; the car has some scratches on both front and rear bumpers from parking garages, street parking, etc. The hood near the left headlamp, and including the left headlamp, have some scratches due to a careless person with a shopping cart in a parking lot. The current tires may need replacing in the next year or so--I haven't changed them because someone interested in this car will have their own preference on wheels/tires. It currently has Bridgestone Potenza summer tires. G8 GXPs don't come up for sale often so don't let this opportunity to own a piece of history pass you by. Please ask any and all questions but understand that I will not disclose my reserve price; I've set it at a fair price so if you're interested, please bid what you're willing to spend. I will say that the reserve price I've set is thousands less than the Kelley Blue Book value on a vehicle in this condition. Auction winner will be expected to leave a non-refundable $125 deposit upon auction end. I reserve the right to end the listing early as I'm advertising this sale on other platforms. Local pickup only--please do not ask me to ship. Disclaimer about vehicle history report: the car was in a minor accident in August 2012 involving a reckless taxi. There was very minor damage to the front hood and bumper which the insurance company gladly replaced with new OEM parts. I have all documentation of this incident. |

Florida man runs down bikers in traffic
Tue, May 31 2016A Florida biker and his passenger got a nasty surprise when a road rage incident turned ugly on Monday. According to WTSP, Joe Calderazzo was returning from a Veterans Memorial Day motorcycle rally around 5:30 pm with a group of fellow riders. During their ride, the group got entangled with an overly aggressive driver in a Pontiac. Abe Garcia of Tampa watched the silver Pontiac attempt to run the pack of bikers off the road, which started the altercation. The bikers caught up to the Pontiac in stopped traffic, and a shouting match ensued between the bikers and the Pontiac driver. At this point, Garcia pulled out his phone and started recording. The exchange escalated, and suddenly the Pontiac driver floored it, turned hard to the right, and ran over Calderazzo's Harley. The Pontiac mangled the Harley and knocked Calderazzo and his passenger to the ground. The Pontiac then fled the scene. WTSP spoke to Calderazzo as he was on his way to the hospital. "I thought the guy was trying to kill us obviously," said Calderazzo. "You know you don't know what's going through your mind. Is he going to put the car in reverse? Is he going to turn around? Is he going to stop and pull out a gun? You don't know what's going on." The Pontiac driver, a serial traffic offender named Robert Paul Vance, was picked up by police soon after the incident. He is charged with hit-and-run, a moving traffic violation, and aggravated battery. Pontiac Aztek enjoys rebirth thanks to Millennials
Fri, Sep 11 2015Apparently, Millennials – those between 18 and 34 – aren't afraid to look different on the road, and they like performance, too. A new study by Edmunds is discovering some surprising vehicle choices by this group. Among them, the long-derided Pontiac Aztek is getting a new day in the sun with 25.5 percent its buyers coming from this generation in the first half of 2015. For comparison, Millennials represent an average of 16.8 percent of used car purchases. The Aztek is slowly shaking its reputation as a styling abomination, which seems tied to its appearance on Breaking Bad. The show premiered in 2008, and the Pontiac has been on this list for four of the past five years, according to Edmunds. It even led the pack in 2010. A recent Retro Review from MotorWeek also showed that the crossover wasn't always so hated. While it's still a shock to see the Aztek on any popularity list, the awkward-looking crossover only ranks sixth among Millennials. The vehicle with the biggest portion of buyers from the generation is the Dodge Magnum with 27.6 percent. According to Edmunds, the bluntly styled wagon is especially popular in Detroit and Chicago. The Chrysler Pacifica comes in a close second at 27.3 percent. When it comes to used cars, value and utility appear to trump just about anything else for many Millennial buyers," Edmunds analyst Jeremy Acevedo said in the report. Young buyers aren't afraid of sporty rides, either. The Subaru WRX has 26.4 percent Millennial buyers to rank third place on the list, and the Volkswagen R32 takes fifth at 25.7 percent. Just a few points lower in seventh place is the Nissan GT-R at 25.4 percent, and the final performance machine in 10th place is the Lexus IS-F with 24.7 percent. Related Video:
