1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula Coupe 2-door *** Low Reserve*** on 2040-cars
Genoa, Illinois, United States
|
1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400-4 speed **************LOW RESERVE********************* Original buccaneer red Formula 400 4-speed with the original engine. This car feels like it's on rails at 70 miles per hour. Drives straight and handles nice. The interior has new seat covers, carpet and console. It needs a headliner and a dash or dash cover. The body looks nice but up close it has some flaws. It has some small cracks in the paint here and there that aren't very noticeable unless you're up close. It has had new quarters put on and one quarter has a crack in the paint at the sail panel. Some filler on the bottom of the TA front fenders and rocker moldings. It has a patch in the trunk pan but the floor and frame rails appear to be solid. The front windshield has a scratch from the windshield wipers but the rest of the glass is nice. The odometer reads 34,000 but not sure of the actual mileage. It's not perfect but it's a nice car with many original parts. This is a great cruise night car, local car show or a great candidate for a show quality restoration. Tires and brakes are good and the exhaust sounds great. Looks really nice and gets many thumbs up driving down the road. Selling with a low reserve. I've tried to describe the car the best I can but please ask any questions before bidding. No warranties and sold as is. You're welcome to view the vehicle before bidding as well. Full payment due within 5 days of end of auction. I accept cash or bank check but the check has to clear the bank before car and tittle are released. Car is available for pick up or I can help you set up shipping. Thanks for your interest in my Firebird Formula 400 4-speed. BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium
Fri, Jun 12 2015Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
