I bought this car from a guy who stated to restore the car and lost interest, I just found a car I like better and decided to sell this car. I was told the car does run once it is finished being hooked up. But does not run now. The engine code is XR , I'm trying to find out what the r is . The car has no rust any where in the floors ,frame ,or anywhere under the car, The floor pans from above are solid as a rock. There are a few areas where a little surface rust is showing from sitting .See Pictures! I have posted a lot of pictures of the car so you can see if it interests you. The car needs to be finished and comes with a (new) just out of the box radiator with fan shroud, also includes the fan. The cars missing door panels . But does include the Pontiac letters for the back they are nice condition , license plate holder for the rear, also includes the inner door handles not pictured are included Includes a complete air cleaner with base that fits the carb, The black shaker is included the white shaker is not included see the black shaker in pictures THIS CAR INCLUDES ALL PIECES FOR THE WHEEL WELL SPOILERS NEW ! Including front chin spoiler 5 piece set! This is a very solid car and is very close to being completed. GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Fri, May 27 2016When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point. Junkyard Gem: 1991 Pontiac 6000 LE
Sat, Dec 2 2017Sibling to the Chevrolet Celebrity and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, the Pontiac 6000 sold pretty well during the early-to-middle 1980s, but had been relegated to the dealership bargain bin and fleet-car cul-de-sac by the time of Operation Desert Shield. Here's a final-year-of-manufacture 6000 LE that I photographed in an Arizona self-service wrecking yard. This car was sold new in Arizona, and it will be crushed in the same state, 26 years later. The LE was the cheapest trim level for the 6000 in 1991, but the original purchaser of this car sprang for a few options. For example, instead of the utterly miserable 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, this car packs the 3.1-liter V6. That meant 140 horsepower instead of 110, plus an engine note more like a vacuum cleaner sucking up a spaghetti spill than an ailing blender chewing on walnuts. AM, FM, and cassette.
