Started its life as a 1967 Firebird, same chassis / platform as a Camaro & left the same GM plant on the same factory line, but drove to opposite dealerships (Pontiac / Chevrolet). Has since been completely converted with all correct OEM factory Camaro body parts, panels, etc. This car is loaded, including- Fresh Brodix 350 aluminum head motor, 750 double pumper demon holley carb, pushing out an estimated 400+ HP ($10K+ under hood alone), M21 Muncie 4 speed and center-force clutch, new Hurst shifter and linkage, 3 inch exhaust with thrush performance mufflers, front disc brakes, power steering (correct original wood wheel). Forest green paint with matching green deluxe int & console, added a vintage style stereo unit, near perfect in and out, new black top and top components, cowl induction hood, rallye copo black painted to match wheels (caps included), billet front grill and chrome hood clamps (pic), lower valance, silver rear spoiler, bumble bee stripe, new battery, starter, plugs, fuel pump, etc. all lighting works both exterior and interior and the list goes on and on. VID - https://alternator-rp.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/video/movie/443/35b71315b4b.mp4 A lot of time and money invested in this conversion not including countless hours of labor, needs only a couple finishing touches to complete (currently installing rear quarter upholstery piece as shown in pic below and still need to hook up gauges), otherwise everything is turn key ready to go, goes through all the gears just fine, at times she idles a little high think its just a carb or timing adjustment, no biggie. Sorry for a couple of the backward pics (taken from my phone), selling only due to lack of space and more cars coming out of the shop. Have a clean title currently CA. registered, a lot of time and money into this build asking a low $24.9K OBO no lowballers or joyriders. Do not bid if you don't have the funds, I ended this auction earlier this week only 1 day in for someone who didn't come through, so please don't waste my time or yours! Email with questions or call/text 415.373.2965 for questions or if you'd like to view locally, thanks for your interest. :) |

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. GM Recalling Another 2.7 Million Vehicles In Five Separate Campaigns
Thu, May 15 2014The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles. The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles – some of them the same models – but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago. The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents. A further 112k Corvette models from the 2005-2007 model years are being called in for problems with their low-beam headlamps resulting from a flexing relay control circuit wire that's not meant to bend. GM says it is "aware of several hundred complaints" about this issue, but notes that there have been no reports of related accidents. In addition, over 19k examples of Cadillac CTS from the 2013 and 2014 model years are being recalled over windshield wipers that might not work after a jump start. Finally, GM is also bringing in 477 examples of its 2014 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe and GMC Sierra (though not the Yukon) to fix a problem with a tie rod in its steering rack. As ever, all recall repairs will be performed free of charge, and GM is now estimating that recall-related actions this quarter will result in an estimated $200-million charge against its second-quarter earnings. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
