1959 Pontiac Bonneville - RARE Find - Gorgeous Body and Interior, 389 4 BBL - Automatic Tranny

Super Condition - 1 Family OWNER - 56,395 original miles - Car is all original and there is no air conditioning.

Automatic transmission, gorgeous interior - appears to be original restoration.  Dash board is intact, unsure if all dash board features work as brakes are not functional now, doesn't allow for a test drive.  Under carriage shows rust, see those pics - the body, the trunk and the interior are all just gorgeous and the body shows no bondo from last paint application.

21.5 gallon tank, believe this is Castle Blue Color.  Very rare Tri tone blue interior seat covering.  Car has been professionally repainted but is not perfect.  Magnet does not show rust touch up on this car.  This is a highly detailed car, kept inside other than a few years stored outside on gravel, some underbody corrosion is obvious.

From Cowl tag:  Paint 1111 276, Body PO 3531,Paint HH-  59-2837.  Some light pitting in the chrome.  Trunk is incredible as is most of the rest of this car!  Car starts up easily and does run smooth.  Can not be driven for a test, this car has been lovingly stored and we expect no disappointments.

Car can be seen in SW Indiana area.  We will accommodate a mechanics inspection, if you want to have a mechanic sent to check out the car.  Will need trailered off with a roll-off preferred .. the owner is in her 70's we hope to keep this as smooth and stress free as possible.  There will be an additional fee to have the car pulled out to load for shipping, please discuss this prior to bidding.

Tires will likely need changed, they have low miles but have set idle for a good while.

Our company Facebook page has about 60 pics to study .. check those out too.

Questions, please ask.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Junkyard Gem: 1992 Pontiac Sunbird convertible, with extremely rad W25 Appearance Package

Sun, Dec 22 2019

Radwood has sparked a revival in the appreciation of goofy 1980s and 1980s automotive fashions, from neon-colored tape stripes to excessive TURBO badging to ads featuring horrifying Nagel-style women with radio faceplates instead of eyes. I see a lot of discarded cars that would have been ideal to bring to Radwood, and today's Junkyard Gem is even radder than, say, a purple Mercury Tracer Trio or a teal Chevy Beretta GT or even the elusive Dodge Daytona IROC R/T (yes, there were IROC Daytonas): a genuine Pontiac Sunbird SE convertible with the W25 Appearance Package and Bright White Star wheels. The W25 package got you a white Sunbird with kicky script badging, white wheels, and — if you opted for the optional 3.1-liter V6 — these candy-cane-influenced red-and-white displacement badges on the fenders. Now this is rad! The white interior got dirty fast, especially if the owner left the convertible top down, and these wheels were tough to keep clean for more than a few hours. This one appears to have spent many years sitting abandoned with the top down, judging by the completely trashed interior. The base engine for 1992 was the good old Cavalier four-banger, complete with 111 horsepower. This 3.1-liter engine made a respectable-for-1992 140 horses, for plenty of torque-steery, tire-squealy fun. As a J-Body car, the Sunbird was a sibling to the Chevrolet Cavalier in 1992 (the J-based Cadillac Cimarron, Oldsmobile Firenza, and Buick Skyhawk departed before the end of the 1980s). Starting in 1994, the Pontiac Sunfire replaced the Sunbird, continuing in production all the way through the demise of the J platform in 2005. This content is hosted by a third party. General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem

Thu, Feb 13 2014

General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
