i found my dream car last weekend so something has to go. Have too many projects to do and the car I found is what I want to restore now. With that said, just to let you know I do not have to give this car away, but would like to see it go to someone who can restore it to its full glory. It's a 1971 Cuda, 340 c.i. 4 speed, N96, plum crazy and white interior white vinyl top, with white billboards, fish gill fenders to sell. This is a 2 fender tag car. here is how they read: M88, N41, N42,R11, CT? N96, L25,L31,M21,M25,M31,C16,C55,G55,G36,J25,J45,J4/,V1W,U,A01,A04,A//,FC7,H6XW, 000, ??3940, A13, E55,D32,BS23,H1B,179248,V5X 26 EN2 BS23 H1B 17848

Does not have a motor or trans with it. I have a spare 340 block plus crank and there is a set of heads in the trunk of the car. I have not gone thru the car to see what is there and what is missing since i bought the car a few years ago. Been sitting inside a pole barn till april of this year when i lost my storage space. interior appears to be all there, has sway bars, rallye dash, grille with only 1 crack that I saw, rallye wheels 14" I think did not check. has the typical e body rust in places.

Here is what i think it needs, but you be the judge since you are restoring it. Everyone does it different. My level is on the high end so bare that in mind. I would do lower 1/4's, trunk floor, patches in the doors-as i love all original metal, new rockers, new drivers floor, patches under rear seat from donor car-love original metal, fix along front&rear windows, I think dutchman panel was ok. Did not check the lip on trunk lid, no rear splash pan, i believe the inner fender were ok but check the pix out for yourself. i have the bubble at home where it is safe. the base is fiberglass I thought so that may be aftermarket. the car is 25 miles away at my sisters so I cant just go outside and look at it to answer ?'s but will try. look at the pictures closely. I have more than ebay allows so ask first. She is a real shaker hood car, with original hood as it has the crumple zones. I have a pistrol grip shifter and rods that go with it. console is broke, may or may not be fixable,.but plate is there. Sure I left out alot of things to be said.

Please bid only if you are serious about the car as it takes time away from me and real buyers here on ebay. I will add more info that i remember as the auction goes on and from looking at my pix. I have 2 other cars I want to sell as well, a 1970 challenger rt/se all numbers matching quad green and a 70 440 challenger r/t gomango/white if interested. Contact me at 563-650-9233 with all ?'s. thax and good luck on bidding. I have 100% feedback and want to keep it that way so lets make a great deal for you and me.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
