Barracuda, now Cuda Clone with nicely built 340 with nice lope and exhaust note.  Cowl stamp, door sticker, dash vin all match.  Prior owner painted and restored the car about 12 years ago and drove it about 20,000 miles so needless to say, you can fly in and drive the car home.
The 340 runs very well and the tranny shifts firmly with a shift kit with no slippage.  Paint does have the rash of driving for 12 years with the nics and scratches so now is what I call about a five footer as black shows everything, but as you can see it's got a beautiful shine to it and really looks nice.  Interior is very nice, driver seat back was missing when I got it, I have ordered a new one that will go with the car.  Wheels and tires are new and only have about 200 miles on them.  I have a stack of receipts also going back to the prior owner from the restore.  Someone replaced the center section of the trunk floor years back and did an OK job, but now that new floors are available it would be nice to replace that sometime down the road. also the front grill is cracked but could be fix or replace as repops are now available.
Overall car really is ready to drive and cruise anywhere, she is a bit cold blooded in the morning but does have a manual choke on it, once warm, car idles and runs outstanding with plenty of power for fun.  As the motor and interior wheels, tires, and stance are done and done well, probably the next step would be to scuff and shoot the black paint again to put it back into show condition, but I rather liked the way she has made such a great driver like she is and turns heads with the look and sound like you wouldn't believe.

Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.

If you are less than a 10 feedback please call me prior to bidding so I know your real, otherwise I will remove you from the auction.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
