YES - you can get a reliable daily driver for UNDER $2,000!!!

This is my 1993 Nissan Sentra that runs/drives perfect! If you're looking for affordable daily transportation that will give you 30 mpg - this is it. I am driving this car 20 miles back & forth to work at 70 mph every day. The 4 cylinder motor runs perfect and the automatic transmission shifts smooth and quiet. The interior is extremely clean and the car has never been smoked in. It has a nice Panasonic stereo w/cd. The a/c was ice cold when I got the car but it's not working now. The compressor was making a loud noise and the bearings in it finally locked up. So, I'm told it needs a new compressor. At this price for the car, I'm not fixing it! Tires are good, brakes are good and the car is very comfortable. She has 143,231 miles - only 7,161 miles per year. That's nothing on these cars. It should go 300K easy. You will easily get your moneys worth out of it.

The paint is not peeling anywhere but the finish is not shiny. If you want the car to look new, a $300 paint job will do it. I have enjoyed driving it every day just the way it is. You can see in the pictures that the front left hub cap is missing.  VERY cheap to get another used hubcap. There is a small dent in the left rear in the trunk lid where the previous owner backed into a pole. Easy fix if you ever bother to paint the car. I'm selling it because I have 3 cars and only 2 drivers. My other car is for sale as well and IF the other car sells first - I am keeping this one.

You are welcome to come see and drive the car any time.  At this price for a good daily driver - I don't know how you go wrong.

Bathurst 12-hour gallery is GT3 heaven [w/video]

Mon, Feb 9 2015

The 2015 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour race was run this weekend at the Mt. Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, Australia. Race photographer Joel Strickland sent us a huge batch of photos, all of which make us salivate for the switch to GT3 rules in the United SportsCar Championship; the top seven finishers at Bathurst were of seven different makes: Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Audi R8-LMS Ultra, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Bentley Continental GT3, Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, Ferrari F458 Italia and Lamborghini Gallardo. It was a sweet victory for the No. 35 car driven by the NISMO Athlete Global Team after it crashed in Saturday qualifying, and then was only in third place on the penultimate lap. The three-man driving team included two GT Academy winners, one of whom, Florian Strauss, has only been a professional race car driver for 18 months. It's the first time the GT-R has won at Panorama since the original R32 "Godzilla" took back-to-back wins in 1991 and 1992. Second place went to the No. 15 Phoenix Racing Audi R8-LMS Ultra, 2.4 seconds behind the winners, third to the Craft Bamboo Racing Aston Martin Vantage not even half a second behind the Audi. The Bentley Motorsport team, in its first Bathurst 12-Hour with two cars, had its No. 10 Continental GT3 in the lead until the penultimate lap and in second place until the final corner, but crossed the line in fourth after some rubbin'-is-racin' action from chasers. And if pictures aren't enough, as of writing you can still watch the live stream of the entire race at the Bathurst 12-Hour site. Or, if you don't have the time, at least be sure to check out the last five minutes, below. Enjoy. Nissan's Carlos Ghosn taps the brakes on autonomous car progress

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

"Self-driving cars remain a long way from commercial reality."
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn shocked the automotive industry last year when he announced that his company plans to offer consumers an autonomous car by 2020. The automaker even showed off its self-driving Leaf prototype as proof. He was bolder recently with the pronouncement that select markets could have them in 2018, if laws allowed. The boss' optimism appears to be waning, though, and he's now sounding a lot more conservative about the future. While driverless vehicles are still on the way, Ghosn is hedging his bets with a more gradual implementation of several systems.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: June 2013

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

When we say that our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder has been busy, we mean it. Want proof? In the past month, the big, brown Nissan was only idle enough for us to take it in for its 11,500-mile routine service and to shoot a couple of new photos of the long-termer in Detroit.
Most recently, the Pathfinder spent a few weeks in the hands of AOL Autos' executive editor Sharon Carty, who used the three-row CUV to haul her entire family from Detroit to New Jersey and back... twice. That's a pretty serious amount of miles, but it gave Sharon a really solid look into how the vehicle holds up for the needs of a family with kids of different ages.
