2006 Nissan Le Rebuilder Or Great Body Parts Car on 2040-cars
Okeana, Ohio, United States
This Armada was sitting in a lot that flooded in 2009. It appears that some water got up to the floorboards as the carpet on the floor in the front was wet when I purchased from an insurance company. The engine turned over and the oil had no water in it, but it would not start. Apparently, the moisture from the wet carpet condensated and caused issues with some of the electrical equipment inside the car. I replaced the Body Control Module and was told I would need to take the car to a Nissan dealer to get it to work with the key. I got occupied with a new business I started and have not touched it since. It should run, but I don't know for sure. Regardless, it only had about 22,000 miles on it and was not wrecked, so the body, frame, undercarriage, tranny, etc are all low miles. There is a dent in the front fender from the insurance yard workers and the clearcoat paint is peeling in a few spots on the driver door. The interior appears to be nice and just needs a little cleaning. Great to rebuild or use as a parts car to rebuild a wrecked Armada!

Renault plans $2.2 billion 'no taboos' cost cutting after first loss in a decade
Fri, Feb 14 2020PARIS — Renault's first loss in a decade triggered a no-taboos commitment on Friday to cut costs by 2 billion euros ($2.2 billion) over the next three years as the automaker tries to put the Carlos Ghosn affair behind it. As ex-Volkswagen brand manager Luca de Meo prepares to take over as chief executive of the French automaker, which has been rocked by the Ghosn scandal, it did not exclude job cuts in a promised review of its performance across all factories. Like many auto industry rivals, including its alliance partner Nissan, Renault is grappling with tumbling demand in key markets like China, and said it expects the sector to be hit further this year, including in Europe. Nissan this week had its first quarterly loss in nearly 10 years and cut its operating profit forecast. In a reflection of this sobering assessment of the market outlook, Renault set a lower operating margin target of between 3% and 4% for 2020, down from 4.8% in 2019, and cut its proposed dividend against 2019 by almost 70% from a year earlier. While Renault faces high investment costs to produce cleaner car models and supply chain problems due to China's coronavirus outbreak, a major challenge remains moving on from the scandal involving former boss-turned fugitive Ghosn, which strained its relations with Nissan and paralyzed joint projects. "It has been a tough year for Groupe Renault and the alliance," acting Chief Executive Clotilde Delbos said on a conference call, adding that the broader autos downturn had hit the company "right when we were facing internal difficulties." Renault could not afford to wait for De Meo's arrival in July to attack costs, Delbos said, adding that nothing would be "taboo" as it reviews its business. Meatier goals would be made public in May, she said, alongside joint plans with Nissan, as executives repeated assurances that the alliance was on track. Delbos also stressed that Renault's automotive operational free cash flow, under scrutiny from analysts, would be positive in 2020 after stripping out restructuring costs. "We're very confident that there is no topic on cash availability within the group," Delbos said. Renault shares recovered from falls in early trading, and were up 1.8% at 1200 GMT despite it posting a loss of 141 million euros ($153 million) for the group share of net income.
Infiniti installs Taisuke Nakamura as new design chief
Mon, Aug 26 2019The cubicles and corner offices at Infiniti HQ in Japan continue to change hands. Infiniti Global Design Chief Karim Habib, only in that position for about two years since leaving BMW in 2017, has left the Japanese luxury brand "to pursue other opportunities." In his place, Nissan has elevated Taisuke Nakamura, a 26-year company veteran who is currently Nissan's program design director responsible for global design strategy, and concept car and production vehicle design. Nakamura has a stout design resume in service to both Nissan and Infiniti, having worked on the Qs Inspiration sedan concept (above) shown at the Shanghai Motor Show in April, the QX Inspiration crossover concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show this year (below), and the Prototype 10 speedster concept revealed at Pebble Beach last year (bottom). All of those were electric concepts, making Nakamura the point man for Infiniti's push into electric vehicles and hybrids, and the carmaker's introduction of a new design language. Last year, Infiniti said it would have a new EV on the market in 2021, as well as "e-Power" series hybrids with small battery packs charged by gas-powered generators.  Those EVs should fully embody the brand's new design DNA, seen initially in the recent concepts. The automaker said around the Qs reveal that the new "aesthetics are underpinned by Infiniti's desire to challenge convention and design cars which are engaging, enriching, enabling and enchanting – what the company calls its ‘4ENÂ’ approach to design." At the QX reveal in January, Habib said that as engineers made a "shift towards smarter, more compact and less intrusive powertrains, we were able to create an alternative form with flowing gestures, more engaging in character and more enriching in experience. With its long cabin, balanced proportions and muscular stance, the concept heralds in a new era for Infiniti models.” Infiniti said Nakamura takes up his post next week, Sept. 1, and will report to the same boss he has now, Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan's global design head. Aside from Habib, other top non-Japanese Nissan executives such as Daniele Schillaci, Jose Munoz and Trevor Mann have left the Japanese automaker in the recent past, since the arrest of Carlos Ghosn. The former chairman, who faces charges of fraud and misconduct, is awaiting trial in Japan over charges including enriching himself at a cost of $5 million to Nissan, Japan's No. 2 automaker.
Nissan introduces new seven-seat e-NV200 electric minivan
Mon, Jun 8 2015Intrigued by the prospect of an electric van like the Nissan e-NV200, but need to transport more people? The Japanese automaker may have just the solution. Nissan has announced the expansion of its battery-powered people-hauler with the new seven-seater e-NV200. Billed as the "world's first all-electric seven-seat MPV," the new model is being rolled out (in certain markets anyway) in response to popular demand, and packs an extra set of full-size seats in the back. The seven-seater joins the e-NV200 range alongside the existing panel van and five-seat versions. At the same time, Nissan has also announced the addition of a new premium Evalia trim for both five- and seven-seat versions. Previewed in concept form a few months ago, the e-NV200 Evalia is ideally suited for transporting VIPs in quiet luxury. NISSAN LAUNCHES SEVEN-SEAT E-NV200 - Seven-seat e-NV200 goes on sale in July - Model is world's first all-electric seven-seat MPV - Introduction of full-trim Evalia to e-NV200 line-up - Model launched in response to high demand Nissan will broaden the appeal of its award-winning all-electric e-NV200 this summer with the UK launch of a versatile and practical seven seat version. The new model – the world's first pure electric seven seater – is being introduced in response to huge interest from fleet operators and larger families keen to capitalise on the market-leading e-NV200's low running and maintenance costs and zero emissions performance. Prices start at GBP19,895 (incorporating the Government Plug-In Car Grant) for those choosing the convenience of the Nissan Flex battery leasing option*, and from GBP23,400 (inc PiCG) for those purchasing outright. At the same time, the e-NV200 line-up will be further strengthened with the addition of a new 'Evalia' version available in five and seven-seat form – offering a 'full trim' option for the ultimate combination of technology, style, sophistication and comfort. The developments mean the e-NV200 will be available as a panel van, five or seven-seat Combi, or five or seven-seat Evalia – giving customers the freedom to specify a vehicle that best suits their lifestyle or business requirements. Launched in response to demand The launch of the seven-seat version fills a gap in the market for an electric vehicle (EV) capable of accommodating larger groups of people. Private hire companies and shuttle services in particular have been keen to see its introduction since the e-NV200 was launched last year.
