Nismo mashes it up with Sentra 370Z and Altima GT-R

Nismo was a tuning division once content (or required) to restrict itself to just one or two models at a time, but these days Nissan is taking the gloves off and allowing its motorsport department to tune just about everything's it's got.
Now in its thirtieth year, Nismo tunes versions of the GT-R, 370Z, Juke and Versa Note, and will soon be working its magic on the Sentra and European-market Qashqai and Pulsar. And that's not even taking into account its considerable racing programs. At this rate, Nismo is going to run out of vehicles to tune pretty quickly, so what has it done? Invent new ones!
No, we're afraid that Nissan is not letting its Nismo division produce its own stand-alone product, but it has released two sets of amusing renderings combining two vehicles into one. One depicts a GT-R crossed with a Teana sedan (better known in these parts at the Altima), while the other crosses a Sentra with a 370Z.

Nissan, Mahindra may bond over EVs

Like Lloyd in Dumb & Dumber rejoicing that he's got a "one out of a million" chance with Mary Swanson, electric-vehicle advocates in India can do the same. That's because both local automaker Mahindra and Japan-based Nissan say they would consider working together to promote EVs in that country. Executives with Nissan and Mahindra, which makes the Reva e2o EV, independently told Autocar Professional that they would consider collaborating with the other company in order to speed up plug-in vehicle adoption in India. Nissan, which already works with companies such as Honda, Mitsubishi and Toyota to various degrees, said this collaboration would most likely revolve around electric-vehicle charging infrastructure advancements, a move that obviously helps all plug-in vehicles. Of course, nothing official has been announced. Last March, the Mahindra Reva e2o, which costs the equivalent of about $11,000, went on sale in India, with the company estimating at the time that it could manufacture 30,000 of the electric vehicles each year. In February, Mahindra debuted two electric cars at the New Delhi Auto Show, including the Mahindra Reva Halo EV concept sports car and the Mahindra Racing Formula E electric race car. The following month, India's Financial Express reported that Mahindra was targeting Sri Lanka and Norway for e2o sales. That car has a 62-mile single-charge range and a top speed of about 60 miles per hour. Nissan recalls 2015 Murano over ABS actuators

A problem discovered with its anti-lock brakes has prompted Nissan North America and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for the 2015 Murano crossover. The problem revolves around the actuators for the ABS, whose solenoid valves may be contaminated. That could, according to the recall notice below, cause the hydraulic brake pressure to either build up or drop completely, potentially destabilizing the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. The issue affects an estimated 9,614 units in the United States - plus another 116 in Puerto Rico and 839 in Canada - specifically those built between December 4, 2014, and March 17, 2015. The owners of those vehicles will need to take their Muranos in to their local dealers to have the ABS actuators inspected, and if necessary, replaced. The recall is slated to commence in early August, but in the meantime, dealers have been ordered to stop selling those vehicles affected until they can be attended to. Nissan spokesman Dan Passe confirmed to Autoblog that no accidents or injuries were reported to have resulted from the issue being addressed. At the same time, Nissan has also announced a second, much smaller recall for another of its crossover models. This one affects the 2015 Rogue Select – specifically those manufactured between November 17, 2014, and December 12, 2014, and fitted with 17-inch wheels. That, according to NHTSA, amounts to just 110 units, whose tires may be incorrectly labeled. To fix it, Nissan will be sending owners new labels with the correct payload information in compliance with federal regulations.
