2005 Nissan Altima SE-R for sale, If you are looking to purchase one of these cars then you know how rare they are.
This car is mechanically perfect. Valvoline Synpower Full Synthetic 5w-30 changed every 3000 miles.
BP 92-93 octane always used. 91,xxx miles. Car is currently only driven in nice weather. Clean and clear title!
Engine- VQ35DE 3.5-liter, 24-valve, 260-hp DOHC V6 engine featuring 21/30 mpg.
This engine also features a timing chain which means no 1000$ service every 100k miles. Engine leaks nothing and runs absolutely flawless. The Altima SE-R also features a factory high-flow exhaust that sounds great. The engine does have a Nismo Cold Air Intake which I installed for two reasons, I was sick of changing the paper air filter, and it really does improve the mpg. Plus it sounds nice getting onto the highway.
This engine is very similar to the power plant found in Nissan's 350z.
Transmission- This SE-R features an extremely rare 6-speed manual gearbox with traction control.
This vehicle handles very well in all types of weather thanks to this system.
Exterior- The body of this vehicle is in very good condition. Paint looks great and was just freshly waxed. However it is 8 years old so small defects are a given. That being said this SE-R is very close to show car ready.
The vehicle is currently sitting on OZ racing rims with new tires in the front last fall. Rear tires have a lot of tread as well. This vehicle won't need tires for a long time. I do have the OEM rims. They have pretty bald Pirelli tires. I have not gotten around to using them, particularly because the OZ rims look great. One of the OEM rims has some curb rash. Could easily be fixed by a wheel shop. This vehicle also features a sport-tuned suspension, which rides quite nice and handles excellent. Vehicle did just have a 4-wheel alignment performed last week.
Interior- The interior of this car is absolutely flawless. It looks brand new. Front seats are heated. The backseats look like they haven't even been sat in. I have kept it clean on a daily basis. Vehicle does have front and side airbags. The interior of this car features a Polk/Momo audio system with an Alpine speaker amplifier and an Eclipse touchscreen head unit. All stereo equipment was cleanly installed and looks factory. Sounds absolutely incredible. Plus you can customize the sound to your liking. The interior also features a TWM performance shift knob.
This shift knob was 140$ when new and looks very nice. Also has Weathertech floor mats in the front.
This vehicle also features 30% window tint all the way around except the windshield. This has really helped keep the interior looking rich and kept the sun out me and my passengers eyes.

Carlos Ghosn, a year after arrest, still seeks trial date and access to evidence
Tue, Nov 19 2019TOKYO — A year after his arrest, Nissan ex-Chairman Carlos Ghosn remains stuck in Tokyo under stringent bail conditions and without a trial date as he seeks access to a trove of Nissan emails and other evidence to fight charges of financial misconduct. His lawyers have asked a court to grant access to 6,000 pieces of evidence collected from Nissan such as electronic communications, which they say is crucial for a fair trial, showed an Oct. 4 court filing seen by Reuters. The once-feted executive has spent 129 days in detention since his arrest shortly after his private jet touched down at a Tokyo airport on Nov. 19, 2018. He faces four charges — which he denies — including hiding income and enriching himself through payments to dealerships in the Middle East. Nissan sacked Ghosn, saying its internal investigations revealed misconduct ranging from understating his salary while he was its chief executive, and transferring $5 million of Nissan funds to an account in which he had an interest. An earlier court ruling allowed prosecutors to hand back evidence to Nissan during pretrial wrangling over witnesses and evidence similar to the U. S. discovery process. If prosecutors are "given the freedom to unilaterally delete the collected evidence and return it to relevant parties, this is equivalent to granting the investigative agencies the right to destroy evidence," showed the filing to the Tokyo District Court. The lawyers also asked the court to rescind the earlier ruling, saying some evidence could be erased by Nissan to protect confidential business information. They argued the "ruling deprives Mr. Ghosn of his right to receive a fair public trial by an impartial court," as it enabled prosecutors to view and use the evidence and withhold it from the defense. Prosecutors are not required to hand over all evidence they or the police gather during investigations unless ordered by the court, unlike in the U.S. discovery process where prosecutors and defense lawyers disclose the evidence they intend to present in court. A spokeswoman for the Tokyo prosecutors' office said the office could not comment on individual cases. A Nissan spokeswoman declined to comment. Ghosn's lawyers have also asked the court to dismiss all charges against him, accusing prosecutors of colluding with government officials and Nissan executives to oust him to block any takeover of the automaker by French alliance partner Renault SA, of which Ghosn was also chairman.
Nissan axing Pathfinder Hybrid from 2016 lineup
Thu, Jul 2 2015The Nissan lineup gets a little smaller for the 2016 model year, as the Pathfinder Hybrid is dropped from the range. With its debut in late 2013, the electrically assisted SUV is one of the company's more recent introductions. However, it never really caught on with the public. "The Pathfinder Hybrid is not available in the US for the 2016 model year. Our emphasis is on the 3.5-liter V6 Pathfinder that achieves a best-in-class 20-city and 27-highway fuel economy," Nissan North America product communications director Dan Bedore confirmed to Autoblog. "Nissan has no announcement on future hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain applications at this time." Nissan actually ended production of the Pathfinder Hybrid in January, and "the hybrid was never a big part of Pathfinder sales," Bedore said to Automotive News. For the price premium, the electrically assisted version that combined a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 20-horsepower electric motor was only rated three or four miles per gallon better in EPA combined ratings than with the V6. However, while the company doesn't outline individual sales of the two, powertrain variants, the SUV is performing well so far this year. Through June 2015, sales are up 4.9 percent with 41,938 units sold. The future for the Infiniti QX60 Hybrid, which is the Pathfinder's more luxurious sibling, doesn't look very bright either. "For the United States, while the QX60 Hybrid continues to be available at some retailers across the country, our production is currently focused on the QX60 3.5 model," Infiniti spokesperson Kyle Bazemore told Autoblog. However, the vehicle is still in production at the Smyrna, TN, factory for export to places like China and Mexico. According to Bazemore if demand happens to increase in the US, "we have the manufacturing ability to make them available." Overall, QX60 sales are also up 14 percent this year in the US.
Men accused of helping Ghosn escape can be extradited to Japan, federal judge says
Fri, Jan 29 2021This Dec. 30, 2019, security camera image shows Michael L. Taylor, center, at passport control at Istanbul Airport in Turkey, where Carlos Ghosn was smuggled through to Lebanon.  BOSTON — A federal judge in Boston on Thursday rejected a last-ditch effort by two men to avoid being extradited to Japan to face charges they helped former Nissan Motor Co Ltd Chairman Carlos Ghosn flee the country. The ruling by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani cleared the way for U.S. Army Special Forces veteran Michael Taylor and his son, Peter Taylor, to be handed over to Japan, after the U.S. State Department approved their extradition. Judge Talwani said that "although the prison conditions in Japan may be deplorable," it was not enough to bar extradition. She added the U.S. has "sufficiently established that the actions the Taylors are alleged to have committed amount to an extraditable offense." Nissan and the Japanese embassy in Washington did not immediately comment. The Taylors were arrested in May at Japan's request. Talwani put their extradition on hold on Oct. 29 so she could hear their challenge to the State Department's decision. Prosecutors say the Taylors helped Ghosn flee Japan on Dec. 29, 2019, hidden in a box and on a private jet before reaching his childhood home, Lebanon, which has no extradition treaty with Japan. Ghosn was awaiting trial on charges that he engaged in financial wrongdoing, including understating his compensation in Nissan's financial statements. Ghosn has denied wrongdoing. Prosecutors said the elder Taylor, a private security specialist, and his son received $1.3 million for their services. The Taylors' lawyers argued they could not be prosecuted in Japan for helping someone "bail jump" and that, if extradited, they faced the prospect of relentless interrogations and torture. Ghosn in a court filing sought to support their claim, arguing he faced prolonged detention, mental torture and intimidation in Japan and the Taylors would face "similar or worse conditions."
