2004 Nissan XTerra 4x4 - 5 Speed - 193,079 One Owner Miles NY State residents please know your restrictions before bidding on this vehicle! Passes a safety inspection - good tires and brakes. No rust - solid front end. Water pump and timing belt were replaced at 170K. (I am good friends with his mechanic and this is a fact.) Also has a new starter. Title was issued "NEW" in 2004. That mean it's a one owner truck and well maintained. The front end has an attachment that allows the truck to be towed behind a camper (I think). No leaks, noises, smoking, misfire or slippage. Bid with confidence and drive it home. This truck is going to the highest bidder. No Reserve! No Buy It Now!! Body is clean and so is the interior (for the mileage). Unfortunately the owner found out that the catalytic converters are not efficient any more and the truck will not pass NY State inspection. Because of this I can not sell this truck to a NY State resident. However I will give NY State residents an option to buy it if they will pay for the catalytic converter replacement, thus making the vehicle inspectable here in NY. registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are
using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY
State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe
off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My
cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will easily pass this
strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected.
There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3
are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further
clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t
pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy. Sorry, I

Recharge Wrap-up: Formula E's other events, continued record EV sales

For each race, Formula E sets up an eVillage where fans can meet drivers and get autographs, learn about electric vehicles, spectate Formula E's School Series races, enjoy live music and dance performances, play games, eat food and take part in numerous other activities that don't make their way into the television broadcast. Or course, though, the race is always the main event. See more in the video above. Electric vehicles enjoyed a fourth straight month of record sales in February. Despite low oil prices, customers bought an estimated 7,881 EVs last month, up 13 percent from a year before. 52 percent of those sales were battery electric vehicles, while the rest were plug-in hybrids. BMW i3 sales dropped 77 percent over a year ago, selling 248 cars. The Tesla Model S and Chevrolet Volt sold the most, while the Ford Fusion Energi outsold the Nissan Leaf for the first time. The Audi A3 E-Tron sold 248 units (same as the BMW i3) despite low inventory. Read more at Inside EVs. Renault more than doubled its EV sales in January compared to a year before. Sales were up 104 percent, at 1,886 units (1,977 if you include the Twizy). This January marked higher EV sales for Renault than the three previous years. France tries to dodge blame for blowing up FCA-Renault merger deal
Thu, Jun 6 2019PARIS — France sought to fend off a hail of criticism on Thursday after it was blamed for scuppering a $35 billion-plus merger between carmakers Fiat-Chrysler and Renault only 10 days after it was officially announced. Shares in Italian-American FCA and France's Renault fell sharply in early trading after FCA pulled out of talks, saying "the political conditions in France do not currently exist for such a combination to proceed successfully." French finance minister Bruno Le Maire said the government, which has a 15% stake in Renault, had engaged constructively, but had not been prepared to back a deal without the endorsement of Renault's current alliance partner Nissan. Nissan had said it would abstain at a Renault board meeting to vote on the merger proposal. However, a source close to FCA played down the significance of Nissan's stance in the discussions, believing French President Emmanuel Macron was looking for a way out of the deal after coming under pressure at home. Context The FCA-Renault talks were conducted against the backdrop of a French public outcry over 1,044 layoffs at a General Electric factory. The U.S. company had promised to safeguard jobs there when it acquired France's Alstom in 2015. The collapse of the deal, which would have created the world's third-biggest carmaker behind Japan's Toyota and Germany's Volkswagen, revives questions about how both FCA and Renault will meet the challenges of costly investments in electric and self-driving cars on their own. The merger had aimed to achieve 5 billion euros ($5.6 billion) in annual synergies, with FCA gaining access to Renault's and Nissan's superior electric drive technology and the French firm getting a share of FCA's lucrative Jeep and Ram brands. FCA has long been looking for a merger partner, and some analysts say its search for a deal is becoming more urgent as it is ill-prepared for tougher new regulations on emissions. It previously held unsuccessful talks with Peugeot maker PSA Group, in which the French state also owns a stake. Mon, 30 Dec 2013Moving is not fun. On the scale of adult activities, it ranks somewhere between taxes and jury duty. Boxes need to be loaded, furniture needs to be lifted and the entire affair is typically fueled by a combination of pizza, beer and pain killers (a combo my friends affectionately refer to as "moving fuel"). It's not fun, and it's rarely easy.
While it doesn't make the activity any more enjoyable, having the right vehicle for the job is the difference between loading and unloading half a dozen times and doing it once or twice. When taken as a whole, a proper moving van can shave hours off a day of labor, not to mention untold years of physical and mental stress for those who must take to their wheels every day.
That truism was borne out once again when I borrowed a loaded Nissan NV200 SV to help my girlfriend move into her new house. The little Nissan was a comfortable and able companion throughout the day, managing everything from a mattress and box springs to countless boxes of clothes, dishes and other necessities. Throughout the day, the NV impressed not just with the amount of stuff it could fit in its cavernous back end, but with the features it had to make moving anything easier.
