Petrolicious finds a '72 240Z that is one fair lady

Petrolicious has a real knack for finding ridiculously cool cars to film, and they almost always seem to have interesting owners. Glenn Chiou and his 1972 Nissan Fairlady 240Z-L are no exception. While it's engrossing to hear Chiou's passion for his Z during the interview, the biggest highlight in this clip is the wonderfully coarse mechanical sound and burbling exhaust. Chiou first got into cars during the modified import boom of the early 2000s, but his tastes slowly started to skew towards vintage Japanese vehicles. He eventually found this coupe in 2010 in somewhat ratty condition and set to work brining it to its current state. With binders full of vintage brochures and a heap of original parts, Chiou puts his zeal for the Nissan to excellent use. The result is a Fairlady sporting an array of period-correct mods from the Japanese competition catalog, and a six-cylinder engine that makes an unforgettable sound.

Porsche 911 and Nissan 350Z get smoked by unlikely hero

So a Nissan 350Z Procharger and a current Porsche 911 GT3 drive onto the Autobahn together - stop me if you've heard this one before - and they decide to race. We're not sure how much power the Z is packing, but the stock model topped out at 306 horsepower on the last year of its run in 2009. And if that's a stock GT3 then it will be rocking something like 475 horsepower. So the Z and the GT3 give it a racing go, and just as one of them starts to pull away they're both overtaken by one of the most unlikely dark horses you could imagine. Nissan adds 2013 Titan to gearshift recall

Nissan has added the 2013 Titan to the list of vehicles recalled over potential gearshift issues. Just a few days ago, the automaker recalled nearly 20,000 NV Vans for a problem with the shift lever assembly that could cause the gear selector to read inaccurately. Now Nissan is recalling certain 2013 Titan pickup trucks manufactured between December 17, 2012 and February 20, 2013 and equipped with column-mounted shift levers, though for a different fault. The pickups were built using certain chemicals that could cause the brake-shift interlock mechanism to fail over time. If that happens, the truck could be shifted out of Park without the driver's foot on the brake.
As a result, the truck could roll away and cause an accident or injury. Nissan says it will remedy the fault free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 8. You can read the full National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice below for more information.
