Up for sale is my 2014 Nissan GT-R. I bought this wonderful machine brand new off of the lot in July of 2013 from the Nissan of Edmonds dealership in Seattle, WA. Upon purchasing, the vehicle had 21 miles (Nissan test track factory miles). I am the original owner and have been so meticulous with the care of the vehicle you could consider it partly insane. It has only ever been garage kept, and only driven on non-rainy days. It currently has 6,012 miles on it, as I drove it A LOT over the summer up until about October, at which point it's since stayed in my garage due to Seattle's rainy weather.
Upon purchase of the vehicle back in July of 2013, I went directly to one of the most reputable detailing shops in Washington (Metropolitan Detail, located in Bellevue) to have a full from XPEL Clear Bra installed to protect the vehicle from rock chips. The clear bra covers the entire front end of the vehicle, the underside of the front bumper to protect from any scuffs and the rear quarter panels. The front windshield and headlights also have a unique clear film that protects from tiny particles and rock chips causing chips and light scratches. Prior to the install of the XPEL bra, the paint had a 2 stage detailing paint sealer to help it keeps it's shine for years to come. Needless to say, the exterior condition is flawless, the vehicle has only been hand washed with new, properly rinsed automotive wash mits each time using the 2 bucket method. The interior is in equally great condition. I am a non smoker, and have never let anyone smoke within the vehicle. Nor have I let anyone who does smoke sit in it for a ride without changing clothes first to prevent the seats from possibly absorbing their smoke odor. The interior literally smells new still, as if it had just been purchased from the dealer. This GT-R has NEVER been in any accident of any sorts, and has never had any malfunctions or problems whatsoever. This GT-R currently has one modification which is a full 5" diameter Meisterschaft GT-Haus Exhaust. This does NOT void the factory warranty. I've spoken with numerous techs about this. The rule is, so long as you do not modify and replace the primary catalytic converters and/or o2 sensors in the downpipes or anything before that in the exhaust system with aftermarket parts, your warranty is still 100% valid. I also have the original exhaust still if you would like it with the purchase of the vehicle. Tires, brakes, etc are in great condition still. The vehicle is up to date on it's maintenance, all of which has been documented and performed by Magic Nissan of Everett here in Washington. Everett being my preferred Nissan GT-R maintenance dealership due to it being where nearly every other GT-R in the area goes for service due to their knowledgeable techs who have built a reputation with the local GT-R community. Any questions, please do not hesitate to send me a message. If you are a serious buyer I can give you my contact information for any questions and/or sales related negotiations. |

Carmakers ask Trump to revisit fuel efficiency rules
Mon, Feb 13 2017Car companies operating in the US are required to meet stringent fuel efficiency standards (a fleet average of 54.5MPG) through 2025, but they're hoping to loosen things now that President Trump is in town. Leaders from Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota and VW have sent a letter to Trump asking him to rethink the Obama administration's choice to lock in efficiency guidelines for the next several years. The car makers want to revisit the midterm review for the 2025 commitment in hopes of loosening the demands. They claim that the tougher requirements raise costs, don't match public buying habits and will supposedly put "as many a million" jobs up in the air. The Trump administration hasn't specifically responded to the letter, although Environmental Protection Agency nominee Scott Pruitt had said he would return to the Obama-era decision. The automakers' argument doesn't entirely hold up. While the EPA did estimate that the US would fall short of efficiency goals due to a shift toward SUVs and trucks, the job claims are questionable. Why would making more fuel efficient vehicles necessarily cost jobs instead of pushing companies to do better? As it is, even a successful attempt to loosen guidelines may only have a limited effect. All of the brands mentioned here are pushing for greater mainstream adoption of electric vehicles within the next few years -- they may meet the Obama administration's expectations just by shifting more drivers away from gas power. 2018 Nissan Kicks vs other tiny crossovers: How they compare on paper
Wed, May 9 2018Update: As we now have now driven the 2018 Nissan Kicks and have all the specs and figures available, we thought it was time to update this comparison post. The data chart has been updated with final Kicks information as well as changes to competitors made for 2019. Anyone else have "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People stuck in their heads? Well, you do now. I couldn't be the only one. Anyway, the 2018 Nissan Kicks is a thing. It replaces the Nissan Juke, which Mr. Stocksdale thought was a bad idea and Mr. Myself thought was a smart idea. Nevertheless, neither of us were especially pumped up by the Kicks. However, the majority of car buyers are all about SUVs, and this littlest segment of them has been multiplying like Tribbles in the past few years. The Juke was one of the first of these subcompact crossovers, but it was probably too oddball for a mainstream audience (not to mention inefficient) and never really caught on. Newer competitors certainly didn't help. Well, to see how the Kicks compares to those very competitors, lets fire up the Autoblog Comparo Generator 3000 (TM). Specifically, we'll be looking at those subcompact crossovers with similarly small dimensions, especially low prices and/or a disinclination to offering all-wheel drive. We're talking about the Nissan Kicks vs the Toyota C-HR, Hyundai Kona, Kia Soul, Honda HR-V and Jeep Renegade. Now, if you're interested in literally the exact opposite SUV segment, check out our recent Mercedes G-Class comparo. Otherwise, on to the spreadsheet: Dimensions and passenger space In terms of exterior dimensions, the new Kicks is right smack in the middle of the segment. It's virtually the same as the Honda HR-V, yet manages to eek out a few extra cubic feet of cargo space behind its raised back seat. The Honda and its "Magic Seat" still beats it in terms of maximum capacity, but it sure is close. The Kia Soul has the biggest maximum number, but that's largely the result of being a box. Its small behind-the-back-seat cargo number is likely a better indicator of how much you'll be dealing with on a day-to-day basis. And in that day-to-day way, the Kicks is excellent. Backseat legroom seems to be a Kicks downside, as all but the C-HR surpass it. (Seriously, it's almost impressive how large the C-HR is on the outside but cramped inside.) However, the Kicks' tall greenhouse not only allows for ample headroom, but seats that are mounted high off the ground.
2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition loses rear seats, gains performance
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Nissan is adding yet another tier to the GT-R hierarchy for 2014 with the GT-R Track Edition. Debuting at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, the bruiser ditches its back seat in the quest for a lower curb weight, and a set of more seriously bolstered front buckets keep occupants planted once the going gets twisty. The Nürburgring-developed Track Edition offers an integrated carbon fiber front splitter with brake cooling ducts as well as an even harder-core suspension. Engineers swapped the stock bits for special Bilstein DampTronic shocks and paired them with more aggressive springs.
The engine still delivers 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque and still relies on the split-second quickness of the standard GT-R's six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Expect to see just 150 examples of the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition land on American shores starting this May. In the interim, check out the full press release below for more information.
