I am the second owner of the car. The car was purchased at a dealership in March of 2011. It was a local car from my area. The original owner traded the car in because he was starting a family, no baby seats in a Z.......It was in great shape when I bought it, but of course I had to make some changes.........They include, New Rear Brakes, New Battery, Tinted Windows, Vertini Drift 20" Staggered Rims, New Tires, Carbon Fiber Door Pulls, New Floor Mats, Synthetic Oil, New Air Cleaners.......Garage Kept, Non-Smoker...Adult Owned......35,893 miles......this is my weekend car, only driven occasionally. The original floor mats and a passenger seat " Z " storage bag are included in the sale. The car is in great shape, if you look close you can find a couple of paint chips, very minor.....ground effects behind the passenger front tire has a scuff ( curb rash ) need to get down and look underneath to see it.......the dash storage compartment has a little scuff on the opener slide just from use....a black marker will take care of that.....other than that all is good ....no worries. Watch BJ Baldwin jump a Nissan GT-R in his Monster trophy truck
Tue, 02 Apr 2013
There could hardly be two more disparate machines than a Nissan GT-R and BJ Baldwin's wicked trophy truck. While the supercar from Nissan needs no introduction, Baldwin's rig boasts 850 horsepower and an equally dizzying 34-inches of suspension travel. Monster Energy has taken it upon itself to throw those two together in a new short film that features Baldwin rescuing the female pilot of the GT-R by first jumping both her and her car in his desert bruiser. (Please keep the snickering to yourself until the conclusion of our program.)
The clip features plenty of shots of the truck bashing across the desert, slinging sand on scantily clad models and otherwise having a hell of a time. It's automotive porn of the highest caliber, though it stays safe for work. Click below to enjoy the show for yourself. Our only regret is that there's not enough engine noise to match the otherwise hot action.
Federal prosecutor fights bail for men accused of helping Carlos Ghosn escape
Tue, Jun 23 2020BOSTON — A U.S. prosecutor on Monday urged a judge to keep a former Green Beret and his son locked up as Japan prepares to formally seek their extradition on charges that they helped former Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn flee the East Asian country. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Hassink argued during a virtual hearing that Michael Taylor and his son, Peter Taylor, have a "clear and present reason to flee" after being accused of helping Ghosn, who faces financial misconduct charges in Japan. "They're actually some of the best defendants that IÂ’m sure this court has seen positioned to actually succeed in that flight," Hassink said. He argued the men, who have been held without bail since being arrested in Massachusetts last month, helped smuggle Ghosn out of Japan in a box on Dec. 29, 2019. Ghosn then allegedly fled to Lebanon, his childhood home, which has no extradition treaty with Japan. Ghosn, Nissan's former chief executive, was charged with engaging in financial wrongdoing by understating his compensation in Nissan's financial statements. He denies wrongdoing. The Taylors' lawyers countered that had they wished to avoid prosecution they could have remained in Lebanon, where they were in January when Japan said it would seek their arrest, rather than return to Massachusetts. "If he's an expert of escape, he would not have returned to the United States," Robert Sheketoff, a lawyer for Michael Taylor, argued. He and other defense lawyers argued the case against their clients was flawed and that Michael Taylor, a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and private security specialist, is at heightened risk of complications from COVID-19, which could spread in the jail. The hearing itself was held through a Zoom videoconference because of the coronavirus pandemic. U.S. Magistrate Judge Donald Cabell said he hoped to rule "as quickly as I can." Related Video:
Nissan's quarterly profit fell 68% in the last quarter
Wed, Nov 9 2022TOKYO — NissanÂ’s profit fell 68% in the last quarter as a shortage of computer chips hindered the Japanese automakerÂ’s ability to deliver vehicles to its customers. Nissan Motor Co. reported Wednesday that its profit was 17.4 billion yen ($119 million) in the July-September, down from 54 billion yen the same period a year earlier. Quarterly sales jumped to 2.5 trillion yen ($17 billion) from 1.9 trillion yen a year ago. The company's chief executive, Makoto Uchida, acknowledged the company faces various headwinds, including a chips supply crunch that has slammed the global auto industry amid lockdowns and other restrictions related to the pandemic. “But I can say our operations are definitely improving,” he told reporters. Officials apologized to all those who had to wait for their Nissan cars to be delivered because of the semiconductor shortage. On the plus side, a weak yen has helped Japanese exporters, including Nissan, by boosting the value of overseas earnings when translated into yen. But Uchida said a volatile exchange rate was more of a risk because of NissanÂ’s widespread global operations. The U.S. dollar, at about 110 yen a year ago, is now trading at nearly 150 yen. “We find a stable currency as most desirable,” said Uchida. The rising cost of raw materials, as inflation pressures spread around the world, is another challenge, according to Nissan, based in the port city of Yokohama. Uchida and other company officials declined comment on NissanÂ’s talks with alliance partner Renault SA of France. He said any decision on reshaping the alliance will be announced. NissanÂ’s brand power has been tarnished by a scandal centered around its former chairman, Carlos Ghosn, who was sent in by Renault to lead Nissan for more than two decades. Ghosn was arrested on various financial misconduct charges in 2018, including under-reporting his compensation. He jumped bail and fled in late 2019 to Lebanon, which has no extradition treaty with Japan. He says he is innocent. Nissan lowered its vehicle sales outlook for the fiscal year through March to 3.7 million vehicles from an earlier projected 4 million vehicles. Nissan sold 3.8 million vehicles in the fiscal year that ended in March. Nissan raised its annual profit forecast to 155 billion yen ($1.1 billion) from an earlier 150 billion yen ($1 billion). Nissan, which makes the Z sportscar and X-Trail sport utility vehicles, earned 215 billion yen in the last fiscal year.
