Selling my 1990 Nissan 300zx 2+2 Non Turbo Automatic. Car runs great & transmission shifts smoothly. Does not have any fluid leaks. Has had the radiator, water pump & thermostat all recently replaced. Air conditioning blows cold, heat blows hot. Interior is in good condition for the age of the car. Driver's seat starting to show some wear on side of seat which is normal for these cars. T-Tops do not leak, I have run this car through the car wash many times. Has a few aftermarket parts such as front & rear stabilizer bars, aftermarket underdrive pulley and the rear spoiler but this car is mostly stock. The rims are 17" Dale Earnhardt Jr black with chrome lip and due have some curb rash. Tires are all 215/50/17, the front two are the same brand & the rear two are the same brand. I did install an Alpine CD player in it and the door & rear speakers are aftermarket Pioneer speakers. Was prewired for sub and amp installation when I purchased the car from the previous owner and the wiring is still in there. Body is in excellent condition except for small area on rear of passenger side wheel well that is starting to rust & the damage to the rear drivers side of car around the gas fill area that was present when I purchased the car. This is just cosmetic and does not affect the cars driveability in any way. There are also two small dings in front drivers side fender close to the hood but the paint is not broken. Just trying to think of the flaws I have noticed but for a car that is 23 years old it still runs excellent and looks great other than what has been previously mentioned. I drive this car just about every day. They only issue I have when driving it is that sometimes one of the belts will squeal. Haven't been able to pinpoint which one but has been happening since the new water pump was installed but had to take all three belts off to do so. One of them is either too lose or too tight. I hope I am not missing anything but if you have any questions please ask. Previous owner stated that he had the timing belt replaced not long before I bought the car but did not provide any paperwork. Car is being sold as is where is and buyer is responsible for picking up in person with cash. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of final bid or buy it now, balance due within 7 days unless other arrangements are made and approved by seller. This is not a new car, this is a 23 year old car, so please do not expect perfection. I am sure there are things that it may need that I am not even aware of so again I say the car is being sold as is. These are awesome cars that are only going to go up in value and they are getting more & more difficult to come by. I love this car and am only selling because my financial situation isn't allowing me to keep it. Thanks for your interest.

The next steps automakers could take after sales drop again in April
Tue, May 2 2017DETROIT (Reuters) - Major automakers on Tuesday posted declines in U.S. new vehicle sales for April in a sign the long boom cycle that lifted the American auto industry to record sales last year is losing steam, sending carmaker stocks down. The drop in sales versus April 2016 came on the heels of a disappointing March, which automakers had shrugged off as just a bad month. But two straight weak months has heightened Wall Street worries the cyclical industry is on a downward swing after a nearly uninterrupted boom since the Great Recession's end in 2010. Auto sales were a drag on U.S. first-quarter gross domestic product, with the economy growing at an annual rate of just 0.7 percent according to an advance estimate published by the Commerce Department last Friday. Excluding the auto sector the GDP growth rate would have been 1.2 percent. Industry consultant Autodata put the industry's seasonally adjusted annualized rate of sales at 16.88 million units for April, below the average of 17.2 million units predicted by analysts polled by Reuters. General Motors Co shares fell 2.9 percent while Ford Motor Co slid 4.3 percent and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV's U.S.-traded shares tumbled 4.2 percent. The U.S. auto industry faces multiple challenges. Sales are slipping and vehicle inventory levels have risen even as carmakers have hiked discounts to lure customers. A flood of used vehicles from the boom cycle are increasingly competing with new cars. The question for automakers: How much and for how long to curtail production this summer, which will result in worker layoffs? To bring down stocks of unsold vehicles, the Detroit automakers need to cut production, and offer more discounts without creating "an incentives war," said Mark Wakefield, head of the North American automotive practice for AlixPartners in Southfield, Michigan. "We see multiple weeks (of production) being taken out on the car side," he said, "and some softness on the truck side." Rival automakers will be watching each other to see if one is cutting prices to gain market share from another, he said, instead of just clearing inventory. INVESTORS DIGEST BAD NEWS Just last week GM reported a record first-quarter profit, but that had almost zero impact on the automaker's stock. The iconic carmaker, whose own interest was once conflated with that of America's, has slipped behind luxury carmaker Tesla Inc in terms of valuation.
Nissan to make 85% of the vehicles it sells here in US
Fri, 07 Mar 2014We could be in for a big push from Nissan in the manufacturing realm if Vice President of US Sales and Marketing Fred Diaz has anything to say about it. Speaking to the Automotive Press Association recently, Diaz (above) expressed a desire to build some 85 percent of the vehicles Nissan sells to Americans in the US, claiming it will happen "in the very near future." Nissan has already moved to increase exports of its US-built products, and in 2013, it built just over 76 percent of the models it sold in this market within our country's borders.
"Any issues of us taking advantage of the value of the yen, we want to dispel that," Diaz told reporters, pointing out the contentious issue of currency manipulation. There's also the obvious goal of positive PR - Americans like things made in America, and they like companies that invest in America. Diaz is quick to point out that Nissan had done just that: "While a lot of people retrenched [during the recession], instead we leaned into it and we continued investing and in fact made over $5 billion in investments, bringing a lot of production from Japan to the United States and to Mexico," Diaz said, pointing out that Nissan has helped create 8,000 jobs through its investments.
Nissan runs three factories in the US, two in Tennessee and one in Mississippi. Between the three, production is up 22 percent, while the overall exports from the facilities have increased by 100,000 units, Diaz told reporters.
Next Nissan GT-R to take cues from GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans entry
Fri, 06 Jun 2014For those wondering why Nissan named its coming Le Mans Prototype the GT-R LM Nismo, colliding the two worlds of sports car and prototype racing, an article in Autocar might have the answer. The deeper union is explained by saying that the next-generation GT-R will use "hybrid technology that will closely align it" with the GT-R LM Nismo.
The point could be further driven home by the fact that the GT-R LM Nismo will begin its FIA endurance racing campaign next year, and the next GT-R is due to debut next year as a 2016 model. The expectation is that it will use a hybrid system possibly dubbed R-Hybrid and perhaps developed by Williams. Just like performance car makers Ferrari and Audi, Nissan wants its racing efforts to pay off with road car technology, company vice president Andy Palmer saying they "want to link technological linkages between future evolutions of the GT-R and evolutions of what we do in LMP1, and the two do go in both directions."
The bigger question is, with the GT-R getting hybrid assistance, will it also get the weight gain that usually comes with it? Enthusiasts would love to see the trend reversed, especially on a car that's already no lightweight.
