If you are looking for a Reliable, High Performance, Inexpensive, Z car to use on Track days.... This is it! The body is very straight, No Rust ever! Having lived its life in Colorado and California!!!! This car has been professionally modified over the past 7 years without sparing any expense. The reason I am listing it as a track car is simply that it will not pass emissions... Ever!
It is presently titled in Colorado where emission inspections were not required. I currently live in California and will deliver the car within a 500 mile radius at no charge! The car has been garaged and stored in the winter most of its entire life. It is extremely reliable, I have driven the car cross country twice in the past 5 years without issue. The Body: Painted 6 years ago, Base Coat Clear Coat and wet sanded to mirror finish. All Trim, glass, fender flares and moldings, T-tops were removed and painted like factory. Very close to show quality paint work. 2 very small dings since paint was completed. Carbon Fiber Hood, New windshield, Tail lights were removed and resealed when it was painted Still looks excellent after 6 years! No paint bubbles or hidden surface rust. Minor imperfections microscopic hairline scratches, very small chips etc. Suspension: Complete set of urethane bushings throughout entire suspension, Bilstein Struts, Sports Techniques lowering springs, Custom camber plates, Stern Alloy wheels 18x8 front 18x10 rear Yokahama Advan S4 performance tires. Front are excellent Rears are due for replacement maybe a 1k miles left. Engine: Rebuilt approximately 10k miles ago. Stock bore just, prepped for new rings and bearings, New timing belt, Water pump, Oil pump, and seals. Performance add ons: Heads ported and polished, Gutted intake plenum, 240sx throttle body, Mild Schneider racing cams, New lifters and rocker arms, Ferria valves, Upgraded valve springs, JWT 450hp upgrade package. Reprogrammed ECU 3 bar, Mercedes Benz 450cc injectors, 93 Cobra MAF, Dropping resistors for injectors, Twin Turbo Fuel pump, Large custom intercooler, Stock Garrett T3 Turbo rebuilt, Custom cold air induction with K&N Filter, Certified Muffler 3 inch exhaust, Manual Boost Controller. $400 High Performance Clutch, No Leaks, Starts and runs flawlessly It has never been run over 12 psi boost. It is quite fast enough without pushing it. Transmission: Professionally rebuilt T5, 500 miles ago. All new synchros and bearings. Urethane motor mounts and transmission mount. The transmission alone is worth $1000 Stock rear Non LSD Differential Brakes: Drilled Slotted Rotors, High Performance EBC Brake Pads, Newer Master cylinder, Synthetic DOT 4 Brake fluid Just so you know.... This is not amateur hour!!!! This is an extremely nice, professionally built performance car that is very reliable! The reason I have not installed a full roll cage and fuel cell is the uncertainty of what level you would like to use it. I have over $15,000 invested in this car and have set the reserve at what I feel is a very low reasonable price. Selling with a Corbeau racing seat and basic gauge package. Power Windows and locks, wipers, wiper washer, horn, indicators and heat are all operational If your state does not require an emissions test due to the Age, I have a near perfect Original Interior that I would re-install for $1000 Original Leather Excellent Door Panels, etc. I removed the interior due to the value of selling it separately. Shipping within 500 miles is Free, however... The car will be paid in Full in cash and in person prior to it going anywhere. No Exceptions! $250 deposit with pay pal within 48 hours and I will work with you on the arrangements. On Jan-24-14 at 18:05:44 PST, seller added the following information: If you would like to see more photos email me at skivail8150@yahoo.com I have been trying to add photos for 3 days and ebay is working on their system and I am unable to upload photos Thanks Johnny |

Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo to hit 60 mph in 2 seconds?
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Here's your daily dose of incredulity - AutoExpress is reporting the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo will hit 60 miles per hour in two seconds. Okay. The report comes from an unnamed source that AE spoke with at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and would mean that the GT-R Nismo, a car that will likely sit below $150,000, will be able to outsprint (over short distances) a 1200-horsepower, $2.58-million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
Citing a more potent version of the GT-R's twin-turbocharged V-6 along with a healthy drop in weight, AutoExpress says that the performance is the result of the same group that helped develop the Juke Nismo, Williams Advanced Engineering. An unnamed engineer for Williams (it's not made clear if this is the same source from Goodwood) notes that there are improvements to be had "even with a car like the GT-R."
As exciting as the GT-R Nismo is going to be, we're having a hard time accepting that it will be able to hit 60 in two seconds flat, at least on street tires. What do you think? Have your say in Comments.
