I describe this 300ZX as excellent! I purchased this car two years ago. After I purchased the car, I took it to Nissan of Warwick, RI to have it checked over.
I had the dealership perform all the services that they recommended. Services performed where: Front brake pads and machined front brake rotors and clean/paste caliper slides. Fuel Filter was replaced, spark plugs replaced, both lower control arm tension arms with new bushings, rear differential service, transmission fluid exchange, cleaned, flushed and installed new power steering fluid and checked for leaks, performed brake fluid exchange, replaced timing belt, waterpump, cam seals and drive belts. Flushed coolant, cooling fan replaced while performing timing belt service. The total was $3217.64. I have the receipt. I had dealership purchase and install front license state bracket, battery cable and battery holdown hardware. $374.52. I have receipt. A new battery from Triple A. Battery kept dying. Found out if I lock the car it runs the battery down. All this maintenance was performed at 66,117 miles about 2 years ago. The car now has 69, 845 miles. It was my second car. This car has no Title. I have a certified letter from the DMV in RI. This certified letter will allow this car to be registered in any US state. RI will not issue a duplicate title on vehicles whose model year is 2000 or older. This 300ZX is in excellent condition. The dealership described it as immaculate. The winning bidder will be responsible for having the car shipped. $500 deposit is due from buyer at the end of auction. The car is sold as is. Mileage will change a little as I drive it periodically. |

Nissan won't downsize the next Armada
Wed, 28 Aug 2013The Nissan Armada is aptly named, because in relative automotive terms, it's not just the size of a ship - it's the size of a whole fleet. And that, according to reports, isn't about to change.
While many of the larger SUVs on the market are gradually being phased out or replaced by smaller crossovers, Nissan apparently plans on keeping the Armada right where it is. And that means a large, truck-based, eight-passenger colossus, because there are buyers out there who expect no less and Nissan isn't about to lose them to the likes of the Toyota Sequoia, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, or a General Motors lineup that includes the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.
That doesn't mean that the next Armada - which Edmunds expects will arrive in 2015 or 2016 - will be immune to constricting environmental regulations, so Nissan will have to get creative. A vehicle the size of the Armada has all the aerodynamic efficiency of the side of a barn, but Nissan is reportedly aiming to streamline that in order to boost efficiency, for starters.
Tesla exec calls rival EVs 'little more than appliances'
Wed, Aug 3 2016Tesla's Vice President of Business Development Diarmuid O'Connell called the company's competition "little more than appliances" at the Center for Automotive Research's Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI yesterday. "In essence, [mainstream automakers] delivered little more than appliances," O' Connell said. "Now, appliances are useful. But they tend to be white. They tend to be unemotional." According to Automotive News, O'Connell's main critique is that vehicles like the Nissan Leaf and BMW i3 don't deliver enough performance or range to draw the attention of consumers outside of a small group. The solution, in O'Connell's mind, is more power, more range, more excitement and a lower price – that last point is particularly rich coming from an automaker whose cheapest current offering, the Model S 60, costs $66,000 – although the cheaper Model 3 is on the horizon, way out there, somewhere. But some EVs are better than none, O'Connell added. "On balance, I'm happier that [traditional automakers are] doing these cars than not," O'Connell said. "I just wish they would do them better and faster." O'Connell also used his appearance at the Management Briefing Seminars to launch a volley at the Michigan legislature, blaming its opposition to Tesla's direct-sales model for the lack of available EVs in the Wolverine State. "I think if the Michigan Legislature would allow Tesla to sell cars in Michigan, we could probably address [the lack of available electric cars]," O'Connell said. Related Video:
Japan court adds 10 more days to Ghosn's detention
Sun, Dec 23 2018A Japanese court on Sunday extended for 10 days the detention of ousted Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn, who is facing new allegations of making the car maker shoulder $16.6 million in personal investment losses. The extension announced by the Tokyo District Court means Ghosn will remain in Tokyo's main detention center, where he has been confined since his arrest last month on initial allegations of financial misconduct. Ghosn was re-arrested on Friday based on suspicions that around October 2008 he shifted personal trades to Nissan to make it responsible for 1.85 billion yen ($16.6 million) in appraisal losses, prosecutors said. They said the move inflicted damage on Nissan by having it deposit a total of $14.7 million on four occasions between June 2009 and March 2012 into a related bank account.
