If you are looking for a Reliable, High Performance, Inexpensive, Z car to use on Track days.... This is it! The body is very straight, No Rust ever! Having lived its life in Colorado and California!!!!  This car has been professionally modified over the past 7 years without sparing any expense. The reason I am listing it as a track car is simply that it will not pass emissions... Ever!
It is presently titled in Colorado where emission inspections were not required.  I currently live in California and will deliver the car within a 500 mile radius at no charge!
The car has been garaged and stored in the winter most of its entire life. It is extremely reliable, I have driven the car cross country twice in the past 5 years without issue.

Very close to show quality paint work. 2 very small dings since paint was completed. Carbon Fiber Hood, New windshield, Tail lights were removed and resealed when it was painted Still looks excellent after 6 years! No paint bubbles or hidden surface rust. Minor imperfections microscopic hairline scratches, very small chips etc.

Transmission: Professionally rebuilt T5, 500 miles ago. All new synchros and bearings. Urethane motor mounts and transmission mount. The transmission alone is worth $1000 Stock rear Non LSD Differential

Brakes: Drilled Slotted Rotors, High Performance EBC Brake Pads, Newer Master cylinder, Synthetic DOT 4 Brake fluid

Just so you know.... This is not amateur hour!!!! This is an extremely nice, professionally built performance car that is very reliable! The reason I have not installed a full roll cage and fuel cell is the uncertainty of what level you would like to use it. I have over $15,000 invested in this car and have set the reserve at what I feel is a very low reasonable price. Selling with a Corbeau racing seat and basic gauge package. Power Windows and locks, wipers, wiper washer, horn, indicators and heat are all operational If your state does not require an emissions test due to the Age, I have a near perfect Original Interior that I would re-install for $1000 Original Leather Excellent Door Panels, etc. I removed the interior due to the value of selling it separately.

Shipping within 500 miles is Free, however... The car will be paid in Full in cash and in person prior to it going anywhere. No Exceptions! $250 deposit with pay pal within 48 hours and I will work with you on the arrangements.

This is what happens when you drive your Nissan Leaf beyond empty

Thu, Jul 24 2014

If you see an AAA truck bringing someone a can of extra gas, it's rarely a big deal, but when an EV driver runs out of charge, people pay attention. Whether its a writer for The New York Times or hardcore Tesla fans, people are curious about this newfangled technology and the things that could go wrong. "I don't know what the opposite of range anxiety is. Range annoyance?" – Robert Llewellyn Well, few people have more fun with their EV than Robert Llewellyn, the actor (best known for Red Dwarf) and star of his own pro-EV show Fully Charged. And he's good at educating people on the EVs as well. In the latest episode, he tries something in his first-gen Leaf that he's never done before: drive until the battery is completely empty. When the car just keeps on going well beyond the official range estimate, Llewellyn gets frustrated. "I don't know what the opposite of range anxiety is," he says. "Range annoyance?" After 91 miles, he finally comes to a stop. Watch the video below. In the end, all Llewellyn needed to do to get up and running again was to get towed home and plug in. A few hours later, he was ready to go, this time with his range estimate at 93 miles. Compare that with the dangers to your gas engine if you run out of gas and you might wonder why so many people worry about an EVs range. This content is hosted by a third party. Nissan Leaf has outsold Chevy Volt by 50% so far in 2015

Tue, Sep 1 2015

We know, we know. The Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf sales numbers for mid- to late-2015 aren't all that meaningful because of the impending arrival of the next-gen Volt and the expected but not-yet-totally-confirmed debut of the second version of the Leaf. Nonetheless, tracking the sales of the first two major plug-in vehicles is something that remains interesting to us, if for nothing else that the all-electric Leaf remains slightly more popular than the plug-in hybrid Volt after all this time. If we just look at August, the numbers were basically tied in the US. Chevy sold 1,380 Volts while Nissan moved 1,393 Leafs. But when we take a 10,000-foot view, the differences starts to appear. So far in 2015, GM has sold 8,315 Chevy Volts while Nissan has sold 12,383 Leafs. That means that the Nissan has outsold the Chevy by around 50 percent (to be specific, it's 48.92 percent). Since the two vehicles went on sale in the US at roughly the same time at the end of 2010, 81,672 Volts have been sold, compared to 84,705 Leafs. That's a difference of only 3,033 vehicles, so proponents of both powertrains can hold their heads high. Looking just at last month, Volt sales were 45 percent lower compared to August 2014. So far this year, Volt sales are down 36.7 percent. The Leaf didn't fare any better. Month-to-month, Leaf sales were down 43.7 percent in August, while year-to-date, Leaf sales are down 65.3 percent. Those second-gen models can't come soon enough. As always, we'll have our broader wrap-up of monthly green car sales for August up soon. Stay tuned. Green Chevrolet Nissan Electric Hybrid ev sales

Nissan, Kia spending big to promote EVs, Chevy stays conservative on Volt

Sat, Dec 6 2014

With 22 months of record Leaf sales under its zero-emission belt, Nissan has started two big ad campaigns for the battery-powered Leaf. On TV, there's the Kick Gas campaign (it's a popular name) and on social media, Nissan is promoting the EV as the "world's cleanest car" (it's a paint thing). We don't know how much the paint prank is costing, but we do have some estimated numbers for the TV ads. Nissan has spent over $30 million on TV advertising for the Leaf in 2014. According to iSpot, which tracks these sorts of things, Nissan spent over $30 million promoting the Leaf on TV in 2014. "Through November of this year," iSpot CEO Sean Muller wrote to AutoblogGreen, "Nissan spent more then $400 million in TV advertising for its traditional fuel fleet, and $22 million for the rechargeable Leaf. It has since dedicated an additional $9 million on it its new Kick Gas campaign, which started airing November 3, shortly after news of the electronic sales slump broke." iSpot says that Kick Gas aired predominately on NBC, CBS and Fox. The result of those airings can be seen in the charts below, but the takeaway point is that viewers of college football, Gladiator and The Rachel Maddow Show were the most engaged by the ad. Nissan has said the ad is working and that it helped increase Leaf sales in November. How is Chevrolet promoting the Volt? Not nearly as aggressively as Nissan is with the Leaf. Muller said iSpot estimates that GM spent just $2 million over the past couple of years to sell the plug-in hybrid on TV, despite offering 62 different Volt ads online. Then there's new entry into the mix, the Kia Soul EV. iSpot figures Kia has spent about $15 million on TV airings of that odd sexified hamster spot. That's a lot of money for a car that just went on sale here in October, let alone one that isn't available in most states. We've asked Chevy, Kia and Nissan for comment on the iSpot numbers but have not yet heard back. You can watch ads for all three vehicles below. This content is hosted by a third party.
