Hi I have a 1989 Nissan 240sx that im selling. The body has around 190,000 miles on it but is in good shape. There is no rust at all on the car, i know i was surprised to so i looked under the car and i couldn't find any! It has a swapped SR20DET that has around 65,000 miles on it. I bought the car from 468Power and he told me there was no proof on the miles but ive known this guy for so long that he wouldn't lie to me and there has been no problems with the motor at all. This car has great gas mileage and all the power you would want out of the sr20. It also has a drift suspension and a welded differential for great drifting, unfortunately i never took it to the track. The car also has a SAFC tuner which you can control the cars A/F ratio and so much more which i havent played around with. It has some scratches on the windshield the trunk and some on the roof, not noticeable when driving though. The car might need brakes soon, and just back tires, fronts are good. Front defroster doesnt seem to work could just be the module, but the air comes out of the vents.Car doesnt have rear seatbelts. The car was semi gutted and doesnt have carpets, just mats i put in. Shed around 80 lbs. Also i do have cover for engine spark plug coils. The boost is set to 11PSI and is adjustable. I put a ton of stuff in this car since i got it which will be listed below: - Heat Shield $80 -Aftermarket Tachometer with color change option $150 - Exhaust, don't know what kind but its pretty load $250 -cold air intake $250 -downpipe-upgraded fuel system $270 -boost controller (adjustable in engine)$150 -SAFC tuner $300 -Fuel air ratio gauge $250 -boost gauge $200 -racing seats $400 - new Spark Plugs $50 -Nrg carbon fiber shift knob $55 -Nrg quick release $175 -racing steering wheel $50 -Ac installed, little leak with the o ring, easy fix $600 -Racing brackets $300 -Adjustable Drift suspension $1500 -welded diff. $100 -Short throw shifter $175 - shroud $100 -blow off valve came with car -Pretty new clutch(Hydraulic) came with car As you can see i put a lot of money into the car, im probably forgetting some stuff but im selling it at a reasonable price. negotiable on price Car is sold As is.. Shipping is up to buyer please only serious buyers thank you!!! for questions please call 1631-424-4005 or email alphonsebetz@yahoo.com thanks!!

Meet the Nissan GT-R test driver responsible for 'Ring tuning
Wed, 07 May 2014Ever wonder what it's like to be a manufacturer's development driver at the Nürburgring? We imagine it's pretty cool. After all, you get to spend your days zooming about the greatest racetrack on the planet in a vehicle that is usually months or more away from consumers. For Hiroyoshi Kato, whose actual title is Technical Meister, life is even better than your typical development driver, because he spends his days wringing out the Nissan GT-R Nismo around the Green Hell.
Kato-san has a long history with both Nissan and the Ring. He had a major hand in the development of the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-Rs, having first come to the Ring nearly three decades ago.
His experience with the Nismo, though, is different than the other vehicles he's contributed to. As he explains it, there are real racers on hand to test the car on the track, like Formula One reserve driver Sébastien Buemi. Instead, Kato focuses on the track-to-road balance. Still, he has some truly interesting insights on the car and the track, including his surprise at turning a sub-eight-minute lap in his first outing. That, along with a few other things (one of which is an R34 being hustled about), make this a must-watch video from Nissan.
Recharge Wrap-up: BMW i8 markups declining, Nissan offering discounted Leaf lease buyouts
Fri, May 22 2015Zipcar has published the results of an independent study on "Urban Boomers." KRC Research surveyed city-dwelling, healthy adults aged 50 to 69, and found that they are fond of technology and are more active – but drive less – after moving to the city. Many still feel car ownership is important, and often don't get rid of a car they already own, but they find alternative forms of transportation important, too. Even though it is often thought of as a bigger draw for millenials, Zipcar feels that these findings indicate that Urban Boomers are an important demographic for carsharing companies. See the results of the study in the slideshow from Zipcar. Nissan is offering lease buyout credits of up to $5,000 for its Leaf EV. Depending on the region, 2012 and 2013 models get a Leaf Gross Payoff discount of up to $5,000, with 2011 models garnering up to $1,500 off. Some dealers may also offer an additional $1,500 discount. It's possible that Nissan wants to encourage lessees to purchase their Leafs after residual values of the car dropped by about six percent in May. Some potential long-term owners could also be concerned over battery life, or be tempted by the updated Leaf slated for the 2017 model year. Read more at Green Car Reports. Dealership markups for the BMW i8 are dwindling. Actual costs of the attractive plug-in hybrid are nearing sticker prices after high demand and short supply led many dealers to exact a higher price for the car. BMW recently announced it would double production of the i8 to help meet demand, which could be behind the declining markups. The i8 has a base MSRP of $136,500, plus $950 in destination fees. Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
