2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Pottstown, Pennsylvania, United States
I am selling my beloved Ralliart because I am now a proud father of a newborn baby girl. So it is supposedly "in her best interest", especially the wife's, that I drive something more family practical therefore I have to sell the car.
I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. The first was owned and leased by the dealer. Although this vehicle has race-inspired upgrades I never tracked the vehicle because it is my daily driver so reliability was a huge factor for me. The upgrades on this vehicle includes: - GST Basemap v3.1 93 Oct - GST Boost Pill - Evo X Upper Intercooler Pipe (UICP) - Evo X Lower Intercooler Pipe (LICP) - Evo X Intercooler (IC) - Evo X BOV - AEM short ram intake - 20% Tint Like all used cars, this one has a minor door ding and minor scuffs on the rim edges however they appear barely noticeable. Navigation screen does not flip out to expose CD/DVD slot because motor is jammed. However all other functions of the navigation system works good such as touchscreen FM/AM, MP3, Bluetooth, AUX. I've taken great care of this car and performed oil changes myself every 5,500 miles using only Mobile 1 Full Synthetic oil. Brand new tires were installed on this car two months ago (215/45ZR-18 Continental ExtremeContact DWS XL). The tranny is super smooth in Normal mode and it pulls hard in Sport mode. It's a really fun car to drive that works well as a daily driver and it's AWD with optional drive modes (tarmac/gravel/snow) makes this car handle great in all-weather or terrains. |

Mitsubishi off-road concepts head to Tokyo Auto Salon
Tue, Jan 12 2016While the focus on this side of the Pacific has been on CES and the Detroit Auto Show, over in Japan they're gearing up for the Tokyo Auto Salon. Most of the other Japanese automakers have already shown us what they have in store for the tuner expo, and now it's Mitsubishi's turn. This year, Mitsubishi will showcase two pairs of custom creations. They're all focused on the great outdoors, but two take more of an adventuring approach while the other two are geared towards camping. Two are based on the Outlander PHEV and the other two on the Delica D5 minivan. The Outdoor Gear concepts feature matte pearl white paintjobs with orange trim, black interiors with orange trim, and mesh fabric seats with grippy suede trim. The Outlander version rides on 20-inch wheels with off-road tires, a spoiler, and a bike rack on the roof. The Delica gets a carbon-style front bumper, LED daytime running lights, brush guards, and 16-inch wheels. The Active Camper concepts feature 20-inch wheels and matte silver paint with a black camo pattern – a treatment which continues inside. Here the Outlander features a new body kit, adjustable suspension, a roof box, and 1,500 watts of auxiliary power. The Delica version features a sportier grille, brush guards, and a convertible cabin space with room for two. They'll be displayed alongside a replica of the Outlander PHEV rally machine which Mitsubishi is fielding at the Baja Portalegre 500. But these are just some of the goodies in store for the Tokyo Auto Salon this year, which promises all the JDM action you could shake a carbon-fiber stick at. The doors open at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City on Friday and will stay open through the weekend. Watch Mitsubishi Express van bend its way to 0-star crash test rating
Wed, Mar 3 2021Mitsubishi became a champion of economies of scale when it joined the Renault-Nissan alliance in 2016, but the merger triggered at least one undesirable side effect. The Express, a badge-engineered version of the Renault Trafic van, received a zero-star crash test rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Released in Australia and in New Zealand in 2020, the Express was damned by the safety watchdog for lacking chest protection, a central airbag to prevent the occupants from hitting each other and an airbag for the passenger sitting in the middle of the three-person bench. ANCAP also noted the model is not available with electronic driving aids, like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and lane-keeping assist. Mitsubishi Express crash test View 8 Photos Consequently, the Express scored 55% for adult occupant protection, 40% for vulnerable road user protection, and 7% for safety assist. ANCAP argued the Express is a safety hazard even to motorists not traveling in it. "The front structure of the Express presented a high risk to the occupants of an oncoming vehicle," it wrote, adding that this gave the van a penalty. It pointed out that more driving aids would have increased the rating, however. While vans often lag behind in the safety department, scoring zero stars is highly unusual, especially in 2021; the last-generation Express managed to score a one-star rating in 2011. The Toyota HiAce tested in 2019 received a five-star rating, while the made-in-China LDV G10 managed to score three stars in a 2015 crash test. In Europe, the Trafic that the Express is based on earned a three-star rating in 2015, though tests have gotten stricter since. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
