2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Evo 9 Mr 15k Miles Ca. One Owner on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
One owner, mostly stock with exception of a few small mods listed. Collector owned. Never abused, tracked or raced. No hard launches, ever. Part of a collection of Japanese cars, always garaged and covered. Graphite Grey, bought new at Santa Monica Mitsubishi, includes original window sticker, both keys/remotes and all books and records. Never crashed, all original panels with VIN stickers intact. No sun damage to CF rear wing. The only deviations from stock are as follows: 1) Quaife ltd. slip front differential, (~$1100), a huge improvement over stock open front differential. 2) PM front rotors 3) JDM rear bumper 4) Exidy twin disc clutch All stock parts are included, ie. stock rear bumper/clutch/front diff. There are a few small cosmetic dings and scratches on the car which I tried to photograph. One is a ding in the aluminum hood near the drivers side windshield squirter from a falling pinecone. No paint damage but ding is there. There are a couple of other small scratches, the most significant scrape is above the left rear fender and is pictured. In person, physical inspections are welcome and encouraged during auction only, not afterwards. If you bid and win, you have bought the car. Please do not bid if you do not understand this concept or do not have the funds in hand. Car is located in Los Angeles, CA. and has a clean and clear title. No accidents ever. On May-08-14 at 10:02:23 PDT, seller added the following information: We are having trouble locating the title, (misplaced), have applied for a duplicate and still digging for the original. Replacement titles arrive very quickly in CA., usually within a week or 10 days. If the car is sold within CA., transfer can be done at DMV or AAA with a lost title form, you will get a new, clean title in your name as though the title was used for transfer. For out of state buyers, we would need to wait for replacement title. Once again, the title is clean/unbranded and free and clear from liens or loans. Sorry for this glitch and bid accordingly if it is an issue for you. I value my feedback on eBay as well as want the new owner of this car to be 100% satisfied with it and the purchase. I can be reached @ (323) 972-3801 for any additional info and to schedule physical inspections of the car, which are allowed and encouraged. Thanks for looking. |

2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Quick Corners And Long Goodbyes
Editor's Note: While driving the Mitsubishi Evolution in the slush and snow of a Michigan winter is a fine enterprise, photographing it in such conditions is usually not fruitful. That's why you'll notice a slight disparity between our wintry text and sunny, California-based photographs of the subject car. Rest assured, both the review vehicle and the photo car are of the same basic Evo GSR flavor.
It was a dreary, gray, barely sufferable winter morning in Ann Arbor, MI. Temperatures hovering just over 30 degrees allowed for snow or rain or some combination thereof at a moment's notice, and the thickly clouded sky hinted at dark secrets while promising nothing. I've never been a rally driver but I couldn't help but feel that this murky, imprecise day was good winter rally weather. I'll admit: I don't usually wake up and look out the window to judge which kind of racing would be best just then, but the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR delivered to my house the day before was coloring the mood of the hour; most of my thoughts ran to where I was going to drive it, when, and how fast.
FCA withdraws its offer to merge with Renault
Thu, Jun 6 2019UPDATE: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles released a statement confirming that it has withdrawn its merger offer, saying "it has become clear that the political conditions in France do not currently exist for such a combination to proceed successfully." The full statement can be read below our original story, which continues below. Fiat Chrysler has withdrawn its $35 billion merger offer for Renault, the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday. A source said that FCA had informed Renault it had withdrawn the offer after Renault's board of directors failed to reach a decision on the merger during a meeting that ran late into the night Wednesday. Instead, the board granted the French government's request to postpone its vote. The government wanted time to persuade Renault's reticent alliance partner Nissan. Renault's board issued a press release that said simply that it was "unable to take a decision due to the request expressed by the representatives of the French State to postpone the vote to a later Council." WSJ reported that Nissan's two members on Renault's board were balking, while the rest of the board favored the merger. The French government wouldn't it back the deal unless Nissan agreed to maintain its role in the Renault-Nissan alliance, sources said. Nissan had received little advance warning of the merger proposal and was balking. Apparently the French government thought Nissan could be brought around if given more time. "We should take our time to make sure that things are done well," French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told French television on Wednesday. When the French requested a delay and Renault's board granted it, FCA withdrew. The French state, which owns 15% of Renault, had also been seeking more influence over the merged company, firmer job guarantees and improved terms for Renault shareholders in return for blessing the $35 billion tie-up. The merger would have created the world's third-biggest automaker with combined sales of 8.7 million vehicles per year, and was intended to cut costs as the parties develop electric and autonomous vehicles. Read Fiat Chrysler Automobile's full statement below: FCA withdraws merger proposal to Groupe Renault June 5, 2019 , London - IMPORTANT NOTICE The Board of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. ("FCA") (NYSE: FCAU / MTA: FCA), meeting this evening under the Chairmanship of John Elkann, has resolved to withdraw with immediate effect its merger proposal made to Groupe Renault.
Mitsubishi fuel economy scandal will result in $1.39 billion loss
Wed, Jun 22 2016The fuel economy scandal revealed a couple months ago will cost Mitsubishi Motors a pretty penny. According to The New York Times, the Japanese automaker predicted the fiscal year 2016 will result in a loss of 145 billion yen, or $1.39 billion. We won't know for sure until March rolls around. The prediction is even more striking when compared to Mitsubishi's performance during the last few years. It will be Mitsubishi's first reported loss in eight years. In 2014, Mitsubishi reported a global profit of $1.2 billion, which doubled the profits of the previous year, and in the spring of 2015 the US arm of the manufacturer reported its first profits in seven years – $4.18 million. For a little while there, it seemed like things were looking really good for Mitsubishi, but past flaws caught up with it. Some of the models built have had their fuel economy readings rounded by as much as 15 percent, due to the way running resistance is calculated in laboratory conditions. Nissan swept in to buy one third of Mitsubishi, and under the Renault-Nissan alliance it is likely Mitsubishi will be put on a crash course to clear its name and start turning a profit again. But the bad publicity caused by the scandal will probably mean it'll be far in the future. Related Video:
