Up for sale is this beautiful 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX AWD Turbo. This car has a Clean title and No accidents! I'm not sure why Ebay isnt pulling up the Autocheck But I do have the Autocheck and Car fax if you want me to Email it to you! I probably don't need to go into a detailed description about this car because if your reading this there is a good chance your a DSM fan like me and already know everything there is to know about them. Its very hard to find a GSX with under 100k miles so take advantage of this one. It is a 2 owner vehicle that spent its whole life in Virginia. I have put quite a bit of miles on this car and absolutely love driving it. The engine sounds very strong, The transmissions shifts great and the turbo spools right up and the car takes off. The exterior of the vehicle is in great shape for a 1996. It does have its normal wear and tear (dings, dents and scratches) So I'm not advertising this car as flawless. The Interior is in unbelievably great shape though. The seats, carpets and dash look very nice and everything is stock. The tires are about 70% tred and the brakes have no pulsation and plenty of life left. The Sunroof works perfectly And does not leak! It still has the factory radio with the code and the factory power antenna does work! Every feature/option works on this vehicle. (Ac does need a charge but works). This just passed NYS inspection and has been serviced. Its rare to find a GSX Eclipse that is 100% stock and has never been modified so dont pass this rare opportunity up.
If you have any questions feel free to call me! James 585-943-9289
If you are a New York state resident you will have to pay sales tax and DMV fees.

Question of the Day: Most heinous act of badge engineering?
Wed, Dec 30 2015Badge engineering, in which one company slaps its emblems on another company's product and sells it, has a long history in the automotive industry. When Sears wanted to sell cars, a deal was made with Kaiser-Frazer and the Sears Allstate was born. Iranians wanted new cars in the 1960s, and the Rootes Group was happy to offer Hillman Hunters for sale as Iran Khodro Paykans. Sometimes, though, certain badge-engineered vehicles made sense only in the 26th hour of negotiations between companies. The Suzuki Equator, say, which was a puzzling rebadge job of the Nissan Frontier. How did that happen? My personal favorite what-the-heck-were-they-thinking example of badge engineering is the 1971-1973 Plymouth Cricket. Chrysler Europe, through its ownership of the Rootes Group, was able to ship over Hillman Avanger subcompacts for sale in the US market. This would have made sense... if Chrysler hadn't already been selling rebadged Mitsubishi Colt Galants (as Dodge Colts) and Simca 1100s as (Simca 1204s) in its American showrooms. Few bought the Cricket, despite its cheery ad campaign. So, what's the badge-engineered car you find most confounding? Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution recalled over clutch woes
Fri, 25 Oct 2013Mitsubishi will be recalling over 10,000 Lancer Evolutions built between December 12, 2007 and March 5, 2013, covering model years 2008 to 2013. The recall only affects cars with manual transmissions, though, so if you opted for a Lancer Evo with a quick-shifting SST, this recall doesn't apply to you.
If you're one of the 10,474 people that has a Lancer Evo X GSR, which is the only way into a manual-trans Evo X, you need to plan a trip to your local dealer. The recall relates to a failure in the clutch master cylinder, making shifting in and out of gear difficult. Consequently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that this could increase the odds of crashing.
Mitsu will notify owners of the affected cars, and these Evo models will be repaired, free of charge, at dealerships. The recall is slated to begin around November 11. Scroll down for the full bulletin from the NHTSA.
Mitsubishi dealers would really like a truck to sell
Fri, Jan 6 2017While Mitsubishi is switching gears to focus on crossovers, that won't address a market that its dealers would like to be in. While answering questions from the press last night, Don Swearingen, executive vice president and COO of Mitsubishi's North American office, mentioned that its US dealers have a pickup truck high on their "shopping lists." In fact, he said that a truck is pretty much at the top. Mitsubishi does already have a small pickup truck it sells in foreign markets, badged as the Triton or L200. However, Swearingen said that just because dealers want a truck doesn't mean it's going to happen, citing various obstacles to bringing one to market. If, for example, Mitsubishi brought over the Triton, the company would have to go through the long, expensive process of certifying it for US safety and emissions regulations, not to mention making sure it fulfilled American buyers' demands. There's also the Chicken Tax, which levees a steep tariff on trucks built outside of the US and imported in. One possible way Mitsubishi could circumvent all of those issues, though, would be to leverage its new partnership with Nissan. Nissan already sells Frontier small pickups in the US, and Mitsubishi could simply redesign that model to suit its style. It's something that both companies are familiar with as well. Mitsubishi previously sold a restyled Dodge Dakota as the Raider, and Nissan allowed Suzuki to rebrand the Frontier to be sold as the Equator for a short time. It would certainly be a quick way to get into the truck market. However, Mitsubishi would also need to decide if such a product would actually be profitable, in addition to satisfying dealers.
